Pedulla says Trevoh Chalobah has been offered to Milan. Keep taking those Chelsea rejects. They work out well when they join.

CDK is another perfect example of having no patience. The last few years have shown that the younger players need some time to settle in at Milan. At least you know Atalanta will be buying him.

I wont judge any player while they play under Pioli

You can only do so much when you have a tsctically clueless coach.

Everyone just ends up doing their own thing hence why our attack and defence looks so fucking disjointed

Has to be an inside joke:

- 21 years old
- French
- Loan (because we're broke haha)
- Suffered two hamstring injuries already this season
Joke?

That is literally this ownerships criteria and he checks all the boxes lol

If Pioli wins EL or Scudetto not extending him would be a farce.

If he ends up 2nd or 3rd with good results and has a decent run in EL he should at least get his last year on his contract to show what he can do with a squad with more chemistry and a different summer preparation. It is not like the replacements are Ancelotti or Klopp. Neither Conte nor Motta guarantee more across competitions.
Seriously

Fuck off

Come back when this team even has a semblence of team play

Literally every player has regressed and somehow firing that bald dickhead would be a 'farce'

Winning the EL after getting dumped out of the CL is still a firable offence for a club with real ambitions

Similar but much better situation than Tomori’s deal. Another academy graduate who chelsea are trying to offload for their books. This time though, chalobah’s cv is much better than Tomori’s before he came to Milan. Great experience and can play as a dm. Would rather get him than buongiorno.

Why are this season’s signings and preseason not a good enough indication of his failure? I’m confused. We have enough evidence already so why do we need another season to see more of the same?

And also what’s up with these weird narratives:

1) that we need to win more than a scudetto initially, focus on actually competing for scudetto before attempting to compete on multiple fronts (getting knocked out of Coppa italia at home by the likes of Torino last season and talking about across competitions

2) that Pioli has a better cv in cups than conte…conte, along with being a serial winner league competition, has done reasonably well in cup competitions (won fa cup and got to the final of Coppa Italia and Europa league)….don’t ever hype up Pioli while attempting to downplay conte’s achievements, that’s not even delusional, you actually need to be in a strait jacket

I doubt anyone would not massively celebrate EL should we win it. Still a pretty big trophy. Of course early to talk about it.

I agree. I rate EL.

I want us to win that.

However it isn’t enough for me. Only a Scudetto is enough.

Maybe Conte was at Torino-Napoli scouting Buongiorno and to tell Milan yes or no on going for him.

Pioli will need a miracle to stay, Scudetto or at least a Europa trophy.

On top of that, he needs to demonstrate he can string more than 4-5 wins in a row in Serie A this season and outwit/beat/avenge teams like Inter, Juve and Atalanta.

Anything other than the above, he doesn’t deserve another season especially since he reportedly had near full control over the mercato to suit his idealistic 4-3-3 formation.

Yes, injuries are not entirely on him but losing to Udinese at home or throwing away a 2-0 lead at Napoli or Lecce due to lack of tactical astuteness in game were not acceptable. That’s like throwing away 7 points.

I could understand losing to Inter (not the scoreline though), Juve (Thiaw red card) and Atalanta (Calabria red) and even an off game against Salernitana.

Inter seemingly has a stronger squad, solid across all areas so it may be a bit premature to assume that all these new players (mostly foreign) would be integrated on time for us to win the Scudetto. I believe the objectives (minimum) were to fight for the Scudetto until the end and to reach the last 16 in CL. Napoli’s disastrous season is making us look better than we actually are and they should at least be challenging for a top 3 spot right now. Juve is overachieving a bit - no European competitions helping them out. Squad strength-wise, Inter, then Napoli/us, then Juve.

I won’t blame him on CL exit, tactics were okay there, players messed up too: Leao’s miss against New Castle, OG’s penalty miss vs Dortmund, Mike allowing some easy shots in (Dortmund), Calabria giving away the penalty (Dortmund) were costly individual errors.

He should just continue with 4-3-2-1 going forward as that seems to be the most balanced formation where we do well.

I give him 30% chance of staying and that’s being quite generous.

NO to Trevor chalobah. Seems average, injury prone, and not the right mentality

And the reasoning for this is?

We are likely to play much tougher teams in the Europa in two-legged ties. Much needed experience if we care about meeting the schedule to dominate Europe by the time we get our stadium ;)
By extending I mean keeping him by the way.

Now I just realised what milanator meant, as in extending him beyond 2025. Well I won’t do that lol.

I can’t fire a manager for winning a Scudetto. That’s very good.

EL I mean, I rate it as a trophy. But our goal is always champions league. We failed when he got knocked out of the CL.

So for me that is firing worthy. Can’t ‘reward’ him by keeping him because he won a competition we shouldn’t have been a part of if he qualified to the knockouts, which was our goal.

OTOH, Scudetto is a Scudetto.

That’s my reasonings

Pioli leaves no matter what happens after this season IMO. They gave him a chance and everything he seemingly asked for this season and he showed real weaknesses, even if by some miracle we win the Scudetto, that would be a storybook ending for both club and Pioli.

He only gets fired during the season if we free fall to fifth and we need to turn things around immediately.

Where is CDK primarily playing for Atalanta?

I've only seen him a little but he seems to be played on the left off centre forward?

Playing devil's advocate, and seen as it took Adli 18-24 months to "adapt" and "learn" Calcio... If CDK ends the season strong, where could he fit in back in Milan?

Or does the kid want to cut his loses and move on himself?

I'm going through various options and scenarios, and if we drop out the EL and struggle into 4th, while securing the stadium deal....we might not have the biggest budget.

Is selling a star to fund players better than keeping stars, spending what we have on a position or two that we desperately need and perhaps welcoming back CDK who can cover a few positions up front?

Also, under a new coach that knows what the fuck he's doing, and doesn't cripple players for funzies, this squad doesn't need much to challenge properly for the title next year.

Or who do we get for the £23 million or what ever it is we're getting for CDK?

As I say I'm just thinking out loud...
He’s playing in the 2 behind the CF from what I see. Not quite a winger, more in the half space behind the striker. Still think that for us, RW will be his best position.

I worry this means that the injuries to one (or more) of our CBs is more serious than initially feared.
Yup, it’s strange of us to overpay mid season when there’s basically nothing left to play for

If CDK slows down a bit, enough for Atalanta to have second thoughts, and we get a new coach in the summer, we might have a chance to retain him and give him another chance.
