Italians are factually more expensive because of the growth decree (let’s see what happens to it now) . Why pay a premium?

Combine this with the PTSD of the ItalMilan banter era, and the fact that the 3 worst players on our current squad are Italian, and you have a potent combination.

The problem is with youth development, where tactics are prioritized more than physical attributes during player selection at a young age. Most Italian players are thus not very athletic compared to their English or French counterparts, making them less suitable for the modern game.

I mean, GP preferred RR over Theo, that’s the classic conservative Italian football mentality.

I would take all Rube and Inter youth. Just not milans. We have all useless youth barring occasional flukes like Donna, cristante somewhat etc
