buy a 40m defender, you fecking play that defender
Looking back in hindsight, we probably should have loaned him to a smaller side instead of doing the CdK deal hoping Atalanta could have made some use out of him. Maybe a midtable side then would have helped him find his form instead of the competitive Atalanta side.

After that stint you could just tell guy was done mentally. Even relegation level teams didn’t want him.

Tier slightly Below - Benz, Sheva, Henry, Ibra, Eto'o, Drogba(Not 100% sure), Suarez, Lewa, Batigol (only because i'm a fanboy), Rivaldo, Romario, Weah.
Then below - Inzaghi, Ruud, Adriano is between here and Goat), Van Persie ect ect

Messi Cr7 broke this game. Absolute chokehold for 12 years

What a shame

At first he didnt blossom but then his game was forced to be the worker upfront for CR7
That was my point.
He started slow then became a reliable compatible ST to CR7.
He beasted to an elite level the same season CR7 left.

I know i forgot many just what came to mind on the moment I wont add Pele since he's probably the best but i haven't seen him play.
I wasn’t referring to that period of time, strikers from 80 and 90s don’t get much credit because few ppl have watched week in and week out.

Defenders used to be brutal back then, a 20 goal striker used to be considered a one of a kind due the amount of violence committed against them.

Higuain broke serie a record. Strikers have it easy in todays football

Out for a walk.
It was political man.

It’s not a good look to keep him around after we stripped him for Bonucci, it sucks but it is what it is. They tried to force him out every way possible but he was no Tonali :proud:

Did Reddit tell you Calabria was the more mobile choice of the two
I don't remember. Instead of keeping the same formation in the game and going the last 30 minutes or w/e with the lead, we changed formation and moved Calabria inside, all to not play Montolivo, and I'm fairly certain we lost the game as a result. Shit blew my brains out, man. It was the Seedorf situation all over again. "Oh, so this blue eyed cock won't eat scrambled eggs? I'll show him! I'll slag him in the media!" Only for Montolivo to bang in a 40 yard bomb against Catania the next game as all the fodders come circling to suck on his teets. Montolivo ended Seedorf's entire managerial career right then and there. Brutal. Began with "Urby's gonna play so many world class long balls just you wait" to somehow losing almost every game. Another bald fraud of a manager, by the way, he's just black so maybe he gets more of a pass, I don't know.

It is also difficult to compare pure strikers with attacking allrounder type strikers. In terms of pure strikers you can make a case for Giroud, Klose, Van Nistelrooy ..., once you introduce a complete attacker they won't prevail of course.

Isn't Scaloni possibly interested in a new job this summer?

I mean thats what separetes the truly amazing is it not? Having both the technical ability to create goals and the scoring power.

I would say it is more being well rounded and the technical ability. Giroud for example has a pretty big number of assists despite being a pure striker.
These specialist roles are always a bit difficult to judge, same with CBs vs mids for example.

But he is less clinical than most of the tier 2 for example and less game impacting .
