Reijnders if he becomes more influential will be the best but currently he goes missing way too much.

Adli impacts matches more than he does.
He was way more influential when he was playing as the 8. Some of the passes he was playing opened up the attack like no midfielder before him as of late. Even for Netherlands, he's been incredible

Midfielders who play line-breaking passes like him leading to definitive goal-scoring chances are valuable

He has been missing as of late for the club but I think that's just the state of the whole team atm

I want to say this. Adli if has one more physical dimension could be a great player but out of all our midfielders he has that aggressive instinct.

Deers I like him a lot he has so many good to great things which supports all three layers but if he doesn’t improve it will be end of him. Him with rlc finishing will be insane. Modern football and useless strikers means midfielders need to score.
He goes with the flow too much. When he first arrived he was active in all aspects and that seems to have diminished.

I hope with a new direction next season he will be forced to be more impactful consistently. I think he has it in him even if his shooting never comes around.

Oh I like him very much he is my kind of midfielder if he improves little bit more. I hope he doesn’t stagnate.

It’s easy to go full tilt initially when you are new. Much is expected from him he needs to dominate that midfield and willing to step up. I see that ownership from Adli even if he might or might not be able to do it.

Fucking pulisic has that intension even if he was bad in last few games.

Our problem is internal more than how to counter tactic our rivals.
Our structure rather if its defensive or offensive is broken regardless of our formation or tactic.
You think we have internal problems? De Rossi used deliberate tactics to stifle our left side and our right didn't create enough. They shifted SES to the right and used him as a classic RW and his right footed crosses were messing us up.

Our midfield was overrun, because of how Dybala dropped and create overloads while our CBs were baited into Lukaku only to have the ball laid off. Our man-marking is used against us.

I genuinely don't get the idea that our players have some massive problem, when there is such an obvious gap in organization between our team and others, including teams far less talented than ours.

Pioli plays as if by letting the opposition have one on ones with our defenders, that the other team will do the same for our attackers. They don't.

Our defensive structures are terrible. Defending 1v1s all over is a stupid thing to do, especially because we don't actually create enough offensively to justify that level of risk. We are scoring, but we aren't creating chances to a level that justifies the amount of our players we hurl into attack.

It's why I don't call RLC lazy. I think he's instructed to be less involved defensively. On corners? Yeah, that's on him. Does he actually lose more defensive duels than many want to admit? Yes. But I think he could be far more effective as an all around player, right now, he's just playing the Brahim role. Meanwhile, Brahim's best games for us came at RW, not CAM.

I'm not saying RLC should be a RW, but I think misusing players is a hallmark of Pioli's last two years, as his current "vision" has been clear and it is getting easier and easier for top teams to exploit.

Jude dribbles like 90s/2000s players in that he has a languid stride, but he also doesn't do the constant "tap, tap, tap, tap" dribbling style that really became the standard approach the last 15 years. He takes fewer touches per stride, it's a throw back style I enjoy.
