I saw this last night, and it made me angry. I know it looks different on TV, but is there no communication between players? "Hey bro, Leao is free." Leao was asking for the ball, and he continued backward. Again, he had a chance to pass to Pulisic, but no, he passed to the Bambi. He can control the ball but always delays the passes.

He booted that ball high into the air right to Mancini on that first goal

though one can say subsequently Bennacer gave Mancini 0 pressure right outside of our box when Mancini initially got the ball and then completely lost him after he laid it off to Pellegrini by ball watching.
People want to bring in Conte, but the only spot that would suit Calabria is in midfield. I suppose he could play wing back but I don't think he's good there. Not enough pace and technical ability. Calabria can pass pretty well, and I think with instruction, moves off the ball well, too. It's why Pioli's doing the weird stuff with him in the first place.

Both games with Roma was kind of a strange . He assembled a squad with players which can play like Real against CIty - carrying the ball , fast and using the famous dribbling for running forward , but use them to try play like a City instead - with endless passing which should open spaces between the opponent team players . As a result Roma players does not need to do anything except to stay compact , close to each other , even stationary and we can not do anything , because there is no space for our players to do what they are good for . I think that is why we look lost , without to know what to do . Which of course is fault of the players , not his .
The main issue is our defence

Bennacer hasn't played like himself most of the season. When he's at his best, he moves the ball forward better than everyone in our team. He just isn't looking where he used to. Again, I have to wonder how much it is that the instructions are to look backward and play safe so our 5-0-5 doesn't get caught out through the middle, or if he's NOT being instructed that way, and is actually supposed to look forward every time to play the pass, but doesn't, because his form is ass. I've no idea.

that isn't a fair comparison - none of the others got a long run, always as a sub, tops one game.
For a good reason.

Giroud is actually one of the few that can convert on half chances from low percentage plays. That alone explains why he’s played.

If those others doesn’t produce immediately, you are literally waiting for them to produce at the expense of one of the few people you have who can bail you out of bad moments.

Today Mayor Francesco Squeri will take his official step on the future Milan stadium. Today the mayor will send the request to join the Program Agreement to the Lombardy Region, to the metropolitan city, to RFI and to the SportLifeCity company, controlled by the Rossoneri, which last September filed its request for a variation to the urban planning instruments in force. The kick-off of the process in charge of the responsible bodies, which should be completed within 18 months, will be made with a package of about a hundred pages of technical documents accompanied by a letter signed by Squeri. Within the end of 2025 we will begin the actual building
This is my Scudetto this season, has been since October.

Pulisic if he isn't scoring he can be pretty useless. I would sell and get a better winger. Thank me later.

Pioli throwing a shot at rosters!
Wow

I hate this coward

How long will it take folks to realize Roma went down to 10, took off their attackers, and let Milan have the ball. Across two legs I recall 4 chances that you could say should be goals and frankly, that isn't good enough for 180 minutes. Roma defended against Milan's simple gameplan brilliantly

Even on his way out this midtable manager can't take some responsibility

Does he have to be instructed to run when we lose the ball or to put pressure on a player right outside of our box?

He would be a rotational RCB under Conte, maybe a wingback when it's time to defend

He's still a good defender when he isn't abandoned in space

Can I point out that only the other week it was heralded that we had a brilliant attack since the new players came in and we're scoring more from the bench than like any team in the world.

Now we're only scoring from defenders at corners and attack is now our biggest issue.

Yes we're missing chances left right and centre, but we're creating chances which at least gives hope.

People are so reactionary and looking to blame on a more micro level. It's Ben's fault, it's Oliver's fault, sell Pulisic, Leao's a joke.

Our issues are on more a macro level. This is a club problem, and it's a big problem. Blaming just one or two players is really naive.

The seasons over. I just hope that Gerry's ego has taken an absolute kick in and he sees the problems that he has played an active part in perpetuating.

Forza Milan and all that x

The program agreement has started. We will have a new stadium in San Donato and it will belong to us. I know nobody cares today but it matters. The program agreement is expected to last 18 months but we are moving fast and so in 12/15 months we hope to finish everything
I care my friend, more than you know.
Thank you for your hard work reporting all this.

Also, I think it's about time to support our future.

I only agree with Bennacer and Giroud. Maybe Terracciano.

Kjaer is washed, but he's not on a lot and provides some leadership. Same with Florenzi. He's on more, but will take a pay cut next contract if he wants to stay with us. I'm comfortable with Bennacer leaving for the right price, but he's also still a huge unknown. With a fresh coach, I think he could get back to his best. Pobega is cheap and can play anywhere. He has value. Terracciano has promise. We just bought him. I'd sooner loan him than sell him. Also a guy that can play all over the pitch because he's athletic. Loan Adli? Maybe our best midfielder? :spank: Leao should also stay unless someone rides into town and drops 100mil+ on the table. Nobody's doing that, so we should continue to develop our boy. No brainer.

Gabbia should stay. He's young, Italian, low wage, has the heart and passion for the club, and plays well when called upon. Kalulu I've no idea. Hopefully his injuries are just unlucky, but he may be becoming a glass man. Musah stays. Jovic should stay.

The big sale remains Mike. I love him, but he's been straight dog shit for far too long.

It still depends on the instructions. Defending gets confusing sometimes if players don't know what to do. Or if they do know what to do, because they're told to do x, y, z and they get shredded, that's on the coach.

He would be a rotational RCB under Conte, maybe a wingback when it's time to defend

He's still a good defender when he isn't abandoned in space
True, I just can't see coaches playing him there. He'd just be a RB at that point, alternating with Theo to sit deeper or push forward. Same song and dance that we've been piddling around with all season and it's not looked convincing at all, even when we're amassing points.

Can't help but feel disdain for management and ownership after this disaster season. The writing has been on the wall for months that this ride would end horribly and they just sold fans a pipe dream

The fact Pioli is still in charge and will put this fanbase through another throbbing on Monday

I wish to see Furlani's disproportionally large head on a spike and that greaseball Gerry's next to him

Who's better than Giroud? Jovic?
both have their pros and cons, but Giroud 37 years old and is playing almost 3 times a week. He is not able to handle that - his pressing game is gone befcause of that and our play is one dimensional. Give the ball leao, cross and giroud heads or strikes - that aint working anymore. It isn't about who is better, also common sense.

Last time we won against Inter. Men I miss that midfield.
Also Romagnoli, Kalulu were good and better what we have now

The fact that this fan base expects more instead of seeing this as the new reality is what will keep putting them through throbbings after throbbings. Even when Pioli is gone.
