I think if Italy actually had talent, there would be a greater outcry.

This is the worst period for Italian talent... ever? Honest-to-goodness, when has Italy been this bad, talent-wise?
I agree but they can find at least one player that doesn't totally suck.

The worst it has been in my 34 years. It’s not even close, even the team that won the EURO sucked compared to the sides we grew up with.

The best part is Milan is literally grooming the best Italian prospects right now… Camarda is the #1 Italian talent, Liberali is also very very highly thought of.

It's depressingly bad. I thought the period between 2011 to 2015 was bad; but this is the worst I have ever seen.

Barella the midget is seen as the best midfielder lmao. I dont know if he is getting injected in inter or not because he is absolutely crap for Italy.

And then striker? Holy shit is bad if scammaca is the leader. I like scamma but he should always be like a backup from bench or support striker.

And them wingers? Apart from chiesa there is no other quality player.

Defense is the only thing that's good somewhat

More I watch of pavlovic, more I am starting to like him. Reminds me a little of vidic. But he could very well turn out to be shitee.

He does tackle hard and refs in Italy sure do hate us. That is a little concerning. But about time we sign someone physically strong and durable as fuck.

I agree with kaka above we need another striker along morata. Alone is not enough
He reminds me of Paletta

Yea and Camarda will be gone in about 2 years, and then we buy another foreigner
We sell all our italian players. Tonali, Cristante, Locatelli, El Shaarawy, De Sciglio
And letting Donnarumma, Bonaventura and Romagnoli go for free.
Now its Camardas turn

I don't understand the choice for Zirkzee. Unless he's there to play with Hojlund, I just don't get why he goes there, career-wise.

Players go to different clubs for all sorts of reasons, money being a huge one, but they also factor in their career--and I just see this as a bad choice for him. If he went to Arsenal? Makes sense, they need a striker, etc etc.

The fact that the formula was changed also underlines where and how negotiations happen, it's not just about "this is the price, pay or go" but also about how to pay it, structure of the payments, tax stuff, etc etc.

I was never really big on Zirkzee--which probably means that Ruud van Nistelrooy is going to turn him into the next great Dutch striker--but I'm just... not a fan of his skillset or style, but best of luck to the kid with his career.
Maybe this opens up a Hojlund loan + option?

Letting Zirzkzee go could be a part of the master plan all along

If Milan could retain it's Italian identity and heritage this should 100% be promoted.... which is why I am happy to keep Calabria over Royal....but never at the expense of success
Shiiiiiet, Italy can’t even maintain their “Italian identity & Heritage”. Outside of the last Euro, Italy has been piss poor for a while

Is this is a PR move for world cup in America?

But american national team is so bad now.
I don’t think the average American know who Musah is (speaking from experience based on my friends there)

Pulisic is a different story of course

That being said, Musah has some decent raw tools, and I’m hoping Fonseca can help improve him.

Pioli is probably the worst coach for a midfielder

So, Morata will not have the growth decree? What’s the latest on that?

If so, he’s going to be by far the highest gross earner on the team. Even at 13m, he’s not exactly cheap.

Not happy with that, if hes gonna be the starter lol, if thats the best we can find :proud:

He's not the most prolific but he is the starting #9 and captain for the best team in the Euros. And we got him on a good deal. And we can spend more on other options. I don't think this mercato is the best for strikers anyways. We can hold off for a year or two. Build the midfield and defense and then go all in on a striker in the next year or two.

I think Milan fans from Italy see it differently from the international ones.
We used to criticize Inter of the tripleta because their starting eleven were all foreigners, and now we're in the same position but I doubt we'll win the CL.

i'm resigned to the idea because our talent level has fallen off the cliff but it would be nice to at least have a couple of cheap prospects that might be of interest to us, but every name is foreign it's like Italy doesn't exist.
Sartori, an excellent SD former Atalanta, now at Bologna, is after Cambiaghi from Empoli who will not cost much, and there are others that I wouldn't mind as back-ups, even if it's just for show, to please Italians. Napoli picked up Buongiorno and Spinazzola, Atalanta is in negotiations for Zaniolo, (who I'm sure Gasperini will fix), so our rivals find a way to include a few Italians that if nothing else might work harder for the jersey.

We just hired a Dutch lady, Suzanne Bakker, for the women's team, an American guy friend of Ibra as DS of Milan Futuro, and of course a Portoguese guy for the A team.
Thank God for Bonera!

Make Italy Great Again

ok, you don’t mind them. What makes you think they’d be happy to sit on the bench here vs starting for a midtable club so they can have a chance at becoming overhyped by Italian fans and some other big club pick them up so they get paid more than they are worth?

I'm surprised Luca Koleosho hasn't been on our radar since he has American and Italian. I think he'd be a solid LW backup option with potential if we see Okafor as more of a striker. He has played for Italy youth teams at multiple levels and Burnley just got relegated. Was out from December due to a knee injury though.

Anybody know much about him?

Or true street Italians like milanfan89

I thought that was his birth year but no way someone who’s born in 89 still challenges strangers online to “say it in da streetz”, must be iq

They can just support Monza. Doing pretty well for an Italian heavy team, even with a couple of Srs Calcio players sprinkled in there for the true connoisseurs
Naming rights and kiplin’s white hood is needed

In my time the foreigners in Serie A were Montero, Stam, Crespo, and many others.

Now the foreigners in Serie A are not at that level and I don’t want to give our young players any alibis.”

Who’s this fuckin noob, probably never saw Maldini and Nesta play, or the time before 2005
