Apparently the Milan Ultra leader was trying to get the club to hire Conte

I find the contrast hilarious

Inter Ultras were threatening and extorting the club at times and those poor Milan Ultras were just trying to save the club from Lopetegui and Fonseca
The fact that a bunch of low life drug addicts know more about calcio than our management is the best part of this.

Is leao Iranian?

Cuz he shoots 200 times and the only thing he hits are his own milan fans behind the goal.

Another balon dor winning performance in the ucl from our star player.

We are soooo lucky to have him at Milan 😂

Maybe this is how we develop a strong defense? By the new year, we may know how to defend and counter effectively.
You feel me now? Wasted 55 minutes playing like total pussies and we waited until we logically conceded to start playing football. And what happened when we started playing? Outplayed them and created a dozen of great chances in just 30-35 minutes. The missing thing was the clinical strike (many chances wasted trying to enter the goal with dribble instead of shooting) and the final pass in at least 5-6 great situations. We deserved at least 1 goal and a draw, but what was the point of the whole thing? We were not defending a 2-goal lead from the first game in KO tie, it was just a random league game. Play football ffs.

I honestly wasn’t disagreeing with your original post, just suggesting why I thought we were playing that way and that eventually it may pay off as we get more experienced.

You really can’t defend like that with Tomori on the pitch, though. He was all 6s and 7s on their goal 😂 he ran out to Theo for no reason and then was just scrambling all over the place.

We were outclassed until the scored. I’m not sure if they then sat back more and allowed us to have more possession or what. I think that’s what happened, but it was the typical go behind and go all out for a goal while the other team sits back situation.

The result is only upsetting because we just seem to be ruining our club’s historical European records. Losing to English and German sides, fuck off.

I don’t expect a team 1.5 months into trying to unlearn Piolisimo and learn a new system and formation to go into Germany and beat a very good team with a very good manager and very good system.

Tough result, but right now the 2 most important things are 1) staying as close to possible to the top of Serie A and 2) finding a way to get through this CL “group” while building momentum and getting comfortable under Fonseca.

#3 is getting Calabria convicted or figuring out how to make Gerry default on that loan and get Gordon Singer back in the driver seat.

We gave waaay too much respect to Bayer until we conceded. Should've equalized but when Fonz makes only 2 subs for the entire game that shows you our "options" from the bench. Fofana and Mike our 2 MOTM, just beat Fiorentina so we stay on course. Should've shown more courage, this Leverkusen team isn't the same as last season, they were much more dominant then. Leao again with a weak showing, I expect at least 4 new players in starting lineup this weekend. Puli was also not good. If somebody would've told me we'd concede only once tonight - I'd take it right away. Unfortunately luck and that ABYSMAL REF were against us.

P.S. Unbelievable how much Chuck sucks, every single time he makes the wrong decision, shocking truly.

P.P.S. Where's Okafor?

When you’re away to a well-drilled possession side that is also extremely creative, it’s normal to stay compact and solid in the early phases.

Going out in a high press against this team with fresh legs would’ve killed us. We did the right thing imo. We just made the mistake of not individually staying tight to the wide men once it got there. They created everything.

It’s hard to see but I think there is growth. Saw plenty this game that impressed me.

In fact, this is the first time we haven’t scored this season, if I’m mistaken? And we really should have. We have loads of attacking quality. Defence is not as disastrous. Leverkusen are a great side and were at home. Ref was a cunt.

We have absolutely no reason to walk away with our heads down.

Of course Milan is losing because we started Loftus Cheeks..

And of course Emerson was awful, he’s a terrible singing
Emerson is really worst than Calabria. He cant dribble, cant really put in the cross, cant defend but what can he do? He is very good at back pass.

Whoever decided to sign him should take some responsibility and resign.

We lost, but not without honour. Looked like the kind of loss that can galvanize the squad even more.

This is making me quite hopeful for this season. Fonseca is cooking something with this team.

By the way, I watched the game on German stream (come at me anti-piracy brigade) and their comentators were sure the ref'll give us that RLC penalty at the end, they were in disbelief when that fucker let the play go on. Same as that foul on Tiji I think when he let "advantage" to Morata in between their 3 players, unbelievable. He'll get demoted fpr sure but that'll be poor consolation for us.

Other than Emerson, the defence wasn’t the problem at all today. We still have Pioli tendencies in attack with how mindlessly we lose the ball and lack of ideas in build up. Pulisic and others preferred to dribble, dribble and dribble today. Leao, who is usually the culprit of dribbling was conservative in that regard and tried to run in behind their defence but we never picked him out.

The midfield and attack needs better synergy and we have to utilize the wings more. We played so centrally today and took ages in the buildup only to lose the ball in decisive moments. In Italy, our attack may be dangerous, but in Europe we need to show more quality.

Emerson is amazing at looking like he’s doing something without actually doing anything.

He puts his hand up to show how free he is.

He makes 1-2 passes when there is no space to run into.

He makes random no-look passes for no reason.

He sprints with purpose just to cut it back for the easy pass.

He does body feints that fool no one.

He does 5 stepovers when there’s no prospects of going forward.

Emerson truly is a jack of all trades.

We deserved a draw. The ref was shocking.

Bad first half. Okay, fine. Second half, we were better. Much better. Morata and Tiji should have scored, fine. But those ref decisions weren't just bad in the second half, they were shocking and kept us from breaking on them on counters in the first half.

A red, two pens, countless fouls. It was absurd. And it wasn't like we got away with fouls. Theo goes shoulder-to-shoulder with Frimpong and they get the foul, it's insane.

I'm primed and ready to shit on Fonseca, but not today. I think the players did well, how am I supposed to shit on them when Bayer players are literally jumping on their backs and there's no foul? Or Theo gets hit in the face, full arm extension and there's no foul, and Theo is literally on the break?

Nah, not today. Ref was disgusting.

I agree with @bullard. In regards to CL, just qualify for the group stage playoffs and really focus on the league. Sunday is much more important than today. We will grow in Europe but we have to keep up the momentum and consistency in the league.
This isn’t our year for “prioritising” CL. Qualify and do your best, but we’re in the rebuilding phase and still in the process of refining our identity.

There is a real shot in Serie A given Inter’s slight drop off and weaknesses of other contenders. Focus on the league 100%

Just saw that we're playing the last game against Dinamo Zagreb three days before the next derby.

That's the nice thing about not getting 0 points in the first two games. That last game can become huge.

I think every team should have known by now that AC Milan cannot handle hard pressing. This is really something we need to improve.

Fofana really impressed me. Moved the ball really well in tight places. Nice long shot too.

Mike was massive. Unlucky deflection on their goal but he kept us in the game for 50 minutes.
Fofana's pass to Morata for his header was pinpoint. I was surprised actually. Both him and Tijji can ping some really beautiful balls.
