Mike Maignan is average now anyway. His drop off quite significant in two years.

Take the money and get a more agile keeper who can actually stay fit for more than two months. Bye Mike, enjoy Chelsea and their shit fans and stadium .

everywhere and nowhere.
Pretty telling when you look at the replies about anything relating to Theo and Mike... The sentiment is overwhelmingly angry fans who want them gone immediately.

Gotta say, I'm glad to see it. You don't have to be pro-mgmt, or pro-redbird to want these guys gone. I worried the pendulum swung too far in the anti-Milan direction, but it seems to be coming back. I think most fans are starting to see there was poison in the waters.

There are far too many to name past & present
Ronaldo could do any feint Ronaldinho could do at top speed. Many people assume Ronaldinho popularized the Elastico but Ronaldo popularized it way before him. Like he could do elastico at top speed.

And Romario did it before both of them. And then Zico did it before him and Rivellino before him. Throw in Maradona who did it as well whose idol like Ronaldinho was Rivellino. George Weah done it in his CL run with PSG.

I don't like when people say Ronaldo is the best #9 because it can give a wrong impression. When people think of #9 they think of pure classic strikers.

Ronaldo is the best #9. Most fans don't understand the nuances of differences within a role. A #9 can mean a variety of different things. Sometimes its a poacher sometimes its some big lanky cunt whose good at holding up the ball. Etc etc

Ronaldo was far more than that, he would often collect the ball at midfield and dribble a bunch of players regularly, especially when playing for weaker teams like Inter.

Hes still a #9. More of a hybrid but then so where the likes of Van Basten. Complete #9. Run in behind hold up the ball or drop deep. It's not as complicated as you are making it out to be.

With Brazil of course he played very close to the box but that's because Brazil played at the opponent's box for long stretches of the game.

Differences in culture from European Football.

CR would have 13 goals if he had 5 fake penalties given by Qatar like Messi was
You lose sir

Trying to smirch France who won the trophy in a clear manner

So what you're saying is your GOAT needs penalties to keep up because he cant score from open play

Yes the same France that got a dodgy free kick and penalty in the final when Croatia was dominating them :proud:

I really don't like our away kit. The devil logo is a cool throw-back, but the rest of the design looks like it should be a training shirt. Last year's kit was really nice, this... I'm not a fan.
Reminds me of this kit.

We're becoming Cheek's old club....

I have no complaints about the numbers in the Maignan deal or the fact he's leaving. Chelsea initially tried to lowball us with offers of €10-12m, now we're talking about figures close to €20m, which is €5m more than what we paid for him back in 2022, when he was among Europe's top goalkeepers statistically. For a player in decline, with only a year left on his contract and zero % chance of renewing his contract, we've done well to engineer a plusvalenza.

As for his renewal, we were set to extend his deal in February but reversed course after the Feyenoord game. Shame, as I would've liked to see him stay and become one of the 'old guards' under Allegri, but loyalty goes both ways. We turned our backs on him in February and now he's done the same in June, hence why I can understand some resentment from Maignan's side.

Prime R9 is easily the best #9 to have ever played the game. And no Ronaldinho doesn’t quite beat him easily on skill. I would say the 2 of them are the peak of skills when it comes to football.

I assume anyone who says this never watched peak R9 starting from the mid 1990’s, we won’t see a player like that again any time soon.

Fat Ronaldo had the speed and dribbling, which made him a monster. His only downfall was his hyperthyroidism that messed up with body but that was out of his control.

Yeah last year's away was perfect. This one looks like an Arsenal home kit.
