This year our downfall was coaches wanting players to do everything instead of what they're good at.

Every top team has limited players but coaches make sure to limit weaknesses by giving them a role that sticks to their strengths. Unfortunately our coaches want every player to be a Kroos or Caicedo but it doesnt work like that.

To me Reijnders is only good at scoring goals so I would literally convert him into a second striker and play him close to goal, maybe a rotational player
His lack of passing ability and vision means he cannot be a playmaker and his lack of defense means he can't play deeper either

I don't see him as starting material for a CL team
I will be shocked if he starts regularly for City tbh

With Rodri back i can see Reijnders playing exclusively as a box to box. He won't have to distribute the ball just make those runs he's good at.

Same here. My issue with Theo and Leao isn’t rooted in performances alone – it’s the diva behaviour, the sulking, the drama both on and off the pitch. All while demanding massive pay raises despite already being the top earners in the squad. That’s what makes me lose any sympathy or affection I once had for them.

Now take Chukwueze and Pavlovic. They’re underwhelming, no doubt – haven’t shown nearly enough to justify their price tags or wages. But at least they seem to give a damn. At least they fight. And honestly, I value that. I value it a lot more than lazy brilliance paired with entitlement.

So no – defending Chuck or Pavlo doesn’t mean I think they’re better players than Theo or Leao. If that’s what people think, they’re completely missing the point.
