Me and Hitch bump heads all the time, but I don't hold a grudge bc I value the qualities and traits he shows (that he's loyal to our club regardless).
You too bro. It's a pleasant back and forth, on many different subjects. I am always learning something when we disagree, although I wanted to strangle you after that post

The commode is the commode and we love it because it's wild west, but it's fun sometimes when you can have a moment with a poster, or when a moment can bring out the opposite normally seen from posters. It's a cesspool we all gotta live in, for good or for bad.

I've never taken it well but man do I deserve to have my ticket written every now and then. Be sure to know I'm lurking, ready to pounce on a poorly thought take :proud:

Nah, I think it’s that time of the month for you.

I know it’s hard to take L after calling people Inter fans when they don’t agree with your narrative, I get. Especially when you are so self righteous, but you only making yourself look unserious here.

Also, I’m not the one who blew up on ash not so long ago because we had a disagreement. :monto:

Nope. If I wanted to address you directly I will, and I have in the past.
Its not a matter of addressing me, course you can, nothing from stopping you... but wot you said was that youd expose me.

Hitchens promised he will slap a manure fan at San Siro. I was waiting eagerly for it but like our transfers it’s a mirage.

Btw most folks like brk and Alo. 10 years ago we aimed for deep depression for opponents with pure bullying, racism, sexism etc. now we have ok quality banter with lot of gifs

Brk compared pioli to Sacchi and posted essays after essays about some useless stuff and his posts on Tiago’s Spotify podcast. God damn what an asshole but he is a nice guy

Why do they always wait until the last day to decide to do these moves?

Incompetence. Love Maldini. But let’s not forget he’s relatively a rookie in his field.

And no I’m not “shitting” on Maldini here. Just pointing out that experience matters.

Two days in a row we didn’t get our questions answered.

Yesterday it was “What if he were Mexican???”

Today, “who the fuck shat on @brk??”

Not going to lie.

I’ve gone from jealous to straight up MAD seeing how Chelsea is spending money relative to us.

If I hear about FFP again as an excuse…

Installments or lack thereof mean fuck all when it comes to FFP… fixed transfer fee needs to be amortized anyway. They’ve spent close to 600m, that’s around 120m amortization a year for a club that has a revenue close to 450m

Please tell me how the fuck this is possible?

Honestly on the verge of going full patosheva here

GERRYSHIT you cheap little fraud

I think we expect Maldini to voice his opposition to management publicly, because he's done it before. However, he signed a renewal and spoke just this January words closer to the Elliott line than things he had ever said before. Suddenly he seemed a man of compromise, who had taken the red pill of slow build at the expense of the immediate dominance he was obviously demanding after the Scudetto.

Maldini will do what he thinks is best for Milan. He has shown outspokenness before, but he hasn't now. Is it because his choices for the summer are barely playing and not contributing? After 30+ years of honorable Maldini the moral alpha male is he suddenly turning into a bitter man? I think that is an idiotic assumption, entertained only by our household idiots. If he doesn't speak now it's because of two factors. 1) He believes in the sporting side regardless of recent results, he thinks this squad has played below its potential. 2) He knows that if certain parameters are met towards the summer he will have a different freedom, more freedom to operate.

If @Ash and the rest said he is a useless director who's signed nothing but banter players, why does GOAT italian defender and probably the favourite player of 50% of this board Alessandro Nesta say blaming Maldini and Pioli is a fools game?! But what would he know, right?

The ownership is responsible and should back the club with more freedom to operate in the transfer market. Give Paolo 100m plus minus this summer and we go.
Yeah

Just cannot understand why a former teammate and a close friend of his would say he is doing a terrific job.

Really cannot fathom it honestly.

I mean, its two summer transfer windows now and we have the same holes (even more now) when we started.

But nah, fantastic job mate. Absolutely stunning job.

For the record, I put the blame primarily on the ownership. Maldini has to get creative because of the fuck all money provided to him. But lets not pretend majority of his bets in the last two seasons hasnt panned out.

If you were Leao would you ask for guarantees on further investments to the squad to sign the new contract? If we aren't willing/planning on putting minimum 75m+sales into the squad next summer I would probably walk.

Talking shit about Brk is really weird to me.

With what information was public, you would have expected Milan to spend more than it did. There were reports to point things in that direction (as well as in the other direction) as well, but more importantly, there were numbers and space to make that sort of prediction.

Brk isn't an asshole to anyone, he's calm, careful, and explains himself, even to those who don't deserve it. I cannot remember him getting personal with anyone, and keeps the argument within the four corners of the debate at hand, not about personalities behind the words.

So, if you feel vindicated because Milan is finally playing like shit after your "prediction" that they were shit, that was wrong for three years, while Milan won a title (I'm sure you guys were predicting that shit, right?)--I'm happy for you. But to take it out on Brk over the spending? He's not Gerry. He's not Maldini. I think he was pointing to something that looked like it was going to happen, they were cutting costs and increasing revenues, it looked like they were creating room for new players. They didn't. No one knows why.

Brk is also the one who brought up the lists, that everyone laughed at (including myself) and he was right about that. And countless other things.

A man's gotta have a code, I guess, and I just feel like people who aren't participating in the game, should be left alone. Brk doesn't dirty himself by making personal attacks or making fun of people (arguments maybe, but not people [there's a difference]) and to come outta nowhere and try and shit on him? I dunno man. I get being pissed off at me, I rub people the wrong way and have an annoying attitude. This circlejerk of negativity makes sense during this moment, but trying to call out names, particularly the ones who are the least confrontational? Especially from names that don't appear when things are going well?

It's fucking weird to try and banter with someone who you don't have a rapport with, or take shots at someone who doesn't do that kinda shit.
Must have missed something. Who was talking shit about me?

I’ll fuck ‘em all up.

Expose you? Expose what? That you're a good sport? That you are open about being a Man Utd fan (which I respect greatly btw), that you defend Maldini and legends of the club? That you take knocks about Man Utd much better than I would?

I actually like you vb, I just disagree with you about football. My tone with you is supposed to be exasperated incredulity between friends.

Yes, I've been annoyed at your jabs as-of-late and this "contentious" DBZ saga you've started, but I ultimately don't care, because I extend to you 70 excuses and will continue to do so, and more importantly: what I wrote had nothing to do with anything you've said.

The last few weeks I've felt like you (and a few others) have taken a lot more heat for shit that I've said, but more so due to my combative nature and smart-ass tone, rather than anything you've actually done, and so I wrote what I wrote.

It seems that a lot of people think I'm referring to something that happened today, when it was something that was just stewing in my brain.

I think if Leao stays the biggest reason will be because the market for him softened up, and no one is really offering him a landing spot that he likes, so he'll secure a good contract to give himself some security.

Worst possible scenario for us. Rafa signing to be comfortable and have security is a massive red flag, but I agree with your assessment it makes sense. If we don't see the hungry Rafa back in the next month I'd be worried about offering him a long term deal on big money.

i mean cutting costs even after winning a title, says much about the owner's ambitions.
This was shocking and I have to delude myself into believing the only reason was the protracted closing and Maldini’s delayed renewal.

Winter is always a weird market window, so I’m giving them until the end of the summer market to show their ambition. It really doesn’t make any sense to buy a club at a high point in their recent history, for 1.2b, and then refuse to improve it in any way. They only had the club for a few months and this is admittedly a long term project centered around real estate and global marketing. Sports performance is not the day to day stuff for Gerry, and he probably trusts Maldini to get us out of this mess soon, and Maldini clearly trusts Pioli (for now).

I was extremely down on Pioli recently when he showed a different ugly side to him I didn’t see before (stubborn, arrogant, blind). He seems to have finally admitted to some errors and is looking to rectify them. I have no doubt that we’re finally going to see some improvement. Maybe not enough to beat Inter, but at least to show that the fragile tactical imbalance was fixed and we could build on that. There’s still half the season left to play. We went through a terrible month that knocked us out of three competitions, and likely a fourth soon.

As long as we right the ship and stay on course for CL qualification this season won’t be a disaster. It could also be an opportunity to rotate the squad a lot more and discover the new guys and how they can fit in. We can see who has a future and who doesn’t, and plan for the best way to improve and fix the squad for next season.

The only evidence you need is success. Maldini won a title 3 years after rebuilding an entire failing squad, a squad he couldn’t sell because they were so shit and overpaid. He won a title by spending almost half in squad costs what that team used to cost a few years ago. He’s proved himself. One month of the worst form in the history of the club doesn’t take that away. Shit happens, we had a collective loss of confidence and form. Blame it on whatever you want, we still won a scudetto a few months ago and the same team that won it is still playing right now. Kessie, Romagnoli and a few changes on the margins are not the difference between a title win and 6th place or wherever we are right now.

We overperformed last season (doesn’t mean we were lucky) and we’re underperforming now (doesn’t mean we’re shit). It’s just the nature of the game, especially with such a young squad. The only thing that matters is to follow the trendline. Our expectations keep getting higher every season:

2019: CL qualification is an unattainable dream
2020: CL qualification is possible!
2021: If we don’t qualify for the CL it’s a huge failure
2022: If we don’t win the title again it’s a huge failure.

All of this is true, it is a failure if we don’t win the title. But look at the ambition and the success that’s happened in such a short time. It is not fair to suddenly say all that means nothing because we ‘failed’ in the summer to improve the squad, and didn’t spend anything in winter. I really don’t know what they’re thinking or what the reasons for that are, we can only speculate. I’m still completely confident that Maldini (and Pioli) will keep raising the level of this team year after year. Maybe some years aren’t as great, but over a longer timeframe we’ll always be moving up and doing it the right way without taking shortcuts.

It's so fun watching Chelsea spend 20 trillion dollars in about 5 minutes, while we shop at local thrift store.

who the fuck is leao to ask for guarantees?

the entitlement of players now... guy isn't the captain, senatore, or even shows up to most games

he gets paid to perform value. if he thinks he's underpaid- go look for another workplace, otherwise stick to your role and try to raise the value of the the team that pays you
