We are going to experience a lot of growing pains this year, boys. Maldini talked about proven upgrades and beyond Origi we’ve added the complete opposite. The average age of the squad I’m assuming has decreased with Origi (27), Adli (22), CDK (21), Thiaw (21), Pobega (23), Vranckx (19), and Dest (21).

I love it, but we have seen how it can take time for young players to adapt. With the 5 subs in Serie A, we need to blow the brakes off as many teams as we can and rotate all these boys in.

I’ll feel a lot more secure when Lord Krunic returns, I can’t stand not having him available.

With Dest, Thiaw, Kalulu, Florenzi(when he returns) we technically have sufficient cover for both fullback positions. Fode Ballo Toure becomes redundant.

Same theory applied to the midfield where we have Pobega Krunic and Vranckx as cover. Bakayoko to the chopping block.

That way at least our serie a squad makes sense.
List A: 17 foreigners (Giroud, Origi, Leao, Rebic, Saele, Messias, Adli, Brahim, Krunic, Bennacer, Theo, Tomori, Kjaer, Kalulu, Maignan, Tata, Dest) 3 homegrown (Calabria, Gabbia, Pobega,)

List B: U21 players (CDK, Thiaw, Vranckx)

The CL squad will probably look a little messy.

We’ll see in 2 days when they release the squad, but my guess is they would exclude Thiaw, Tata, Vranckx, Toure and Bakayoko. This is one of the biggest squads we’ve seen from MM.

That's BS! The books are already fixed. @brk showed in his calculations that the squad costs ( amortization + salary ) for this year is even lower than last year with revenues increased by a good amount. They could have easily spent another 30-40 mil if the owners allowed it. With PSG owner it would be 100 mil players. We are just talking about a normal good 20-30 mil right winger which doesn't need a whole new stadium to be built!!

You know, I kept hearing these arguments all of last year, and then we won scudetto.

Of course we all want more, we all want CL soonest. OTOH, it is not like our situation has not improved drastically in the last few years. This constant dumping on management accomplishes ... what? And when it comes to sporting results (which is all that matters) it is justified ... because?

Vrancx is a good signing but he is even greener than Pobega and is more a signing for the future.

I don’t think Sael provides much of anything as a starter, especially against a weaker side like Sass. He actually allows clubs to defend the rest of our attackers (Leao) more effectively because he just can’t do anything in the final 3rd. No need for “balance” when teams are happy to be pinned back.

Sass. literally backed off Sael and dared us to pass him the ball.

The only role he’s valuable in is as a sub to kill matches off with his pressing.

Ultimately, we prioritized CAM over RW, but it definitely sucks going into another season with such an obvious weak spot.

Balances out Leao’s goals by conceding penalties and assisting the other team through giving the ball away

Dest is a much better option than I would have expected at this late stage. Really great piece of business with huge upside like virtually all MMM deals. No brainer from a marketing standpoint too.

Can he play right midfield or RW? be our option there like 1.5th choice at right wing given both messias and Saelemakers are second choice. Pioli said he fields 9 man outfield with messias or saelemakers. When they turn up even slighty, its like an extra man, thats why he also thinks our options at right wing are good. Because its better than nothing.
