Chelsea have launched a mega bid for unsettled AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Chelsea are offering Pirlo a massive £7 million-a-year to quit Milan after the European Championships. Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been in contact with the midfielder's agent.

Pirlo is unsettled at Milan after seeing several teammates handed contract improvements and Mathieu Flamini arrive on far greater terms that what he is currently earning.

Galliani: " Five for the Milan" 06.06.2008 14,45 And from four we are passed to five. And, from the list it has been depennato Shevchenko. To say it is the same Adrian Galliani, exiting from the center of Via Turati: " There are negotiations in course, but the Milan is to the suit. If a big ones will arrive will leave Paloschi, otherwise we will play with these four (Pato, Borriello, Inzaghi and Paloschi). The names are those which are read: Eto' or, Drogba, Adebayor, Gomez and Berbatov. They go well tutti". L' past year Mister X was Emerson, quest' year the market of the Milan risks, quite, not to have not even un' unknown quantity.

not the best translation but according to galliani we will try to sign one of those five strikers if not paloschi will stay. sheva is not on the list antmore and now berba is and he would be my first choice out of the five.

Dimitar Mitko Berbatov plz :) I honestly think he'd be the easiest to get out of the bunch. We'd have to pay big for all of them so Tottenham's asking price isn't what I'm bothered about.

And Seedorf when Galliani doesn't consider him as a midfield. But they'll better be looking at other positions too, comments like these make it seem like he's eager to sign someone "big" so everybody will shut up and treat him as a real guru. And that in turn would justify not getting anyone else :D

Tottenham just signed Giovanni Dos Santos from Barcelona, Berbatov is clearly leaving, I prefer him over Adebayor.

man above me:

I am thinking that GDS is more a CAM/ support striker so I can't see how you can correlate his arrival with Berbatov's deaprture....if anything he'll be feeding Berbatov even more :(

man above the man above me:

That's how I see it. :o

Tottenham haved signed Modric, and Dos Santos and still have Aaron Lennon, Keene, & Berbatov. Their strike force looks really good and has tonz of speed, playmaking ability and finishing.

Ramos there coach is brilliant and out coached Grant to win that Carling Cup. They'll be up there next year if they can hold on to all their players.

man above me:

i hope so! i go for spurs in the premierleauge, i dont like any of the big 4. theyre a young team, and had a mediocre start to the season which dragged em down for the 2nd half. but ramos is a genius. they got potential, they just need to sell bent off

I agree berbatov will be easiest to sign. He has clearly stated he was an AC Milan fan when he was younger... and Tottenham will not want to sell him to MAnUtd or Chelsea. They would favor a move abroad even if price was a couple mil less (read 1-3 mil less not 15 mil less). I dunno, i would like a younger signing... but his style of play suites us so well.

This has got to be one of the funniest threads I've seen around lately, haha!

Once upon a time my older brother was referred to as 'the new Fernando Hierro" by the local press, and look where he ended up; in shitty Swedish 2nd league ! :D

That's about the same as our very own scout on this site said: "I read at a local newspaper `GAZETA SHQIPTARE`"

:D

Scout, you can get your point across without quadruple posting.

Why the hell is this thread not yet merged with the Commode? "GAZETA SHQIPTARE"...'nuff said.

That is whats so frustrating. They want to come to milan, you just need to pay. Man City has been outbidding us for a LONG time on dinho, but he doesnt want to go there.... I'm not saying we should or shouldnt get ronaldinho... but it speaks volumes.
Look at this....
http://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/34/biz_soccer08_AC-Milan_340003.html

WHY DO WE NOT SPEND? Combine transfers have been opposite so far. We sold gila and olivera and grimi for about 25 mil. So far we've spent 7 on borriello and 7 on zambrotta. On top of the 11 we have made of sales. We have been promised more money. If we dont see atleast 3 legitimate signings I think we need to send a strong message.

Good transfer campaign my ass. Spend 25 mil on a good striker, and another 25 on a couple quality young defenders

Milan all'attacco: c'è Mutu

La Fiorentina ammette: "Una squadra importante dietro alla richiesta di adeguamento"

http://www.sportmediaset.it/mercato/articoli/12032/mutu+milan

woo ...

15 millions + Brocchi or Bonera

brocchi and bonera r far different values.
Bonera is a useful defender who is 27 years old. prob worth 8-9mil. No one will pay 2 mil for brocchi...

Yeah, let's hope it's true, but somehow I doubt Mutu will leave Fiorentina to come play Uefa Loser Cup here, unless there's a huge financial gain to be had. (read we pay his debt to Chel$ki)

Parting from Bonera means we need to replace him with another defender that is minimum as good as him (Zapata?)
