@Dann - You actually rate Boriello to be our #1 big guy

hell no, i hate him and think hes worse than gila and he will flop again this season and we will sell him again next year.

i was saying he a targetman kind of striker like drogba and maybe we need someone who is good on the ball or has lightning pace to get in-behind like eto'o.

the only targetman i want is berba because he creates so many goals aswell plus hes the full package.

i have never thought drogba was a brilliant finisher and he isn't really good at passing either just like bori will be, lump it foward and hope for the best.

yet again i agree drogba's passing isnt of the standard of kaka or pirlo and his finishing isnt as good as inzaghi, he doesnt have to be great at passing hes easily as good as borrielo and ronaldo and inzaghi at passing it the raw power, aerial dominance and his intelligence we need he is world class and why he deserves being compared to borrielo i dnt know :head: :conf:

guys .....

The Rossoneri are also hoping to use Argentinean defender Leandro Grimi, loaned to Sporting in January, as a bargaining tool in any potential deal.

Veloso is currently preparing to represent Portugal at Euro 2008, and is reluctant to discuss his future, but it is thought that a bid of around 25million euros (£19.8m) could see him on the move during the close season.

If Sporting make it clear that they are prepared to let Veloso leave then Milan can expect competition for his signature from English quartet: Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Instead of quadrupling-up on a position that we already have covered, take that money and sign some attackers.

well if we get rid of emerson and brocchi he would be perfect has bags of ability - but yes we are not in a position to replace players when we have positions that simply are not good enough :head: :head: :head:

AC Milan face fans backlash over Drogba chase
tribal - June 03, 2008

AC Milan are facing a supporter backlash over their pursuit of Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

The Daily Express says Milan last night faced an extraordinary backlash from their fans after opening talks to sign Drogba from under the noses of bitter rivals Inter and Jose Mourinho, whose appointment was confirmed yesterday.

Last night Milan fans besieged websites, saying they do not want Drogba. One said: "Milan have been a fair play team and we don't need a diver."

Mourinho, who also wants Frank Lampard and Ricardo Carvalho, is expected to have a huge advantage in the race for the striker because Inter will be playing Champions League football next year, unlike AC.

But crucially, Chelsea are using Drogba as a lever to persuade Milan to let them have coach Carlo Ancelotti.
ARE THESE GUYS STUPID??!! :head: Drogba is merely a freshman at the Pippo Inzaghi University of diving where Gila is currently Head Dean. He isn't even on the honour roll because Nedved and CR7 are kicking his ass every semester :o

Let's not be hypocritical guys....Pippo is a legend and rightly so. Let's not get to far ahead of ourselves

P.S. I don't want Drogba either... but ONLY because he's too old to offer any long term contribution...MARIO GOMEZ all the way :)

I have seen him play and he remind me a bit of Ambro/Pirlo. He is also great on free kicks. Well he would be an idle signing but we already have Flamini, Rino, Ambro, Emerson and Brochi there. We don't need anymore defensive mid fielders. Galliani said that we are looking for an attacking midfielder and probably someone to replace Gorky. Moutinho might be one of the targets.

Until 2 of the 10 start complaining about playing time and cause a ruckus in the dressing room.
Such things are unheard of at Milan. A young hungry player like Veloso would be all too winning to spend seasons on the bench learning all the tricks of the trade from Brocchi and Emerson :o

My fear is that we buy Veloso and we hear management complain about the price for attacking players that we need and who want to come. The area that concerns most of us right now.

Ronal*cough*dinho
Berba*ehem*tov

yes but it seems they already complaining alot, and for some reason i dnt think us signing players influences there complaints i think just generally they reluctant to splash big cash well more reluctantthan other teams maybe its the gamble element as they dnt 100% trust any potential targets ???

Veloso can play CB too, not LB

But still think that not gonna happen!

He is a good tackler, has good pace, and a very accurate left foot. I think hes actually very well suited to be a left back. I know Man Utd r more interested in playing him there

ignore the homoeroticness of the photos and enjoy the 2 free kicks here.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XFviDmy64k

2nd one was a bit lucky, but with any sort of arial threat coming through it would be put in via header

considering we wont pay 25 mil for dinho or eto'o or drogba or berbatov......... or ANYONE i dont like our odds

Jesus, people, quit believing everything you read about a particular player and then opening a thread about it.

Big Guns On Alert As Villa Made Available For £17m - Report

Contrary to earlier reports that Valencia valued their star David Villa at €40 million, the Daily Mail reports that he could leave the club for as little as £17 million...

The Spanish international is being watched by Real Madrid, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, with Arsenal - a club he singled out for praise last month - also outside contenders for his signature.

Despite winning the Copa del Rey this season, Valencia are in complete disarray following their group stage elimination from the Champions League and near-relegation in La Liga and will have to sell at least one of their big name stars in order to stay afloat and indeed rebuild for the future.

The striker has insisted that he will not decide on his future until after Euro 2008, and should this prove to be the case, a good campaign may well see £17 million rise to much more, though it is highly unlikely Valencia will get anything in the region of the €40 million they are hopeful of netting for the ex-Real Zaragoza man.

Real Madrid are thought to be at the head of the queue for the 26-year-old, with Chelsea close behind and Tottenham perhaps slightly out of their financial weight class.

Fernando Montabon, Goal.com

Fuck, wtf is G doing ?Why arent we linked whit him,Villa for 17 Mil would be awsome!!

I just found this...

CLAMOROUS, AC Milan could play in the Champions League
04.06.2008 00.00 by Marco Gori read 518

The bulgarian football federation has asked that CSKA Sofia will be excluded from the next Champions League preliminary round cause of their financial situation; if UEFA will accept this request, the club that would replace the bulgarian team would be the one wit the highest UEFA coefficient, that means AC Milan. The italian club was involved in the opposite situation in 2006, when Lens asked to be admitted to the Champions League instead of Milan tha was involved in a corruption scandal.

It seems Il Cavalieri is working his magic.
