We need to treat him better. He wants to stay an become someone like Maldini or Baresi, that's why he has chosen 33 as his number.
But if you gonna fuck around with him and not take him as serious as he wants, then I can't see why a move to Spanish whorehouses can't happen.

He'll never become like Maldini and Baresi, not because of the obvious reasons but because he can be swayed by other clubs. If he wants to leave because Milan aren't challenging in the Champions League or not making him Captain, then that makes him a glory hunter. Which means he can leave, by all means.

The agent of Thiago Silva, MD: "Nothing is impossible" Barcelona 05/0

Tonietto explains that "it would also be happy at Barça"

Thiago Silva's agent, Paulo Tonietto in a telephone conversation with MD, did not rule out that your player can end up playing at the club next season.

Although he admitted that "so far no one of Barca or AC Milan has been in contact with me" and that "all I know is what went through the press", the Brazilian international's agent did not close the door Barça.

"Nothing in life is impossible," he replied when asked if he believes that there are likely to end up wearing Barca Thiago. "Every player dreams of playing for a team like Barca," he added.

But made it clear that Thiago Silva is now a linebacker, "happy in Milan," he also made clear that if his current club and the club reached an agreement Thiago would say 'yes'. "If no offer of Barca and Milan want to sell, Thiago also be happy at the club," said Tonietto.

The key Keita
Thiago Silva ends his contract in 2016 and also the interest of Barcelona there are other great teams in Europe who also think it to strengthen next year.

Barca, unlike the rest, has the advantage that the player wants to wear at the club and also has Keita, a player who wants Milan.

Barcelona will test AC Milan's resolve this summer with a bid for defender Thiago Silva.

Sport says Barca have made the Brazilian their top defensive transfer target for the summer market.

The Spanish giants hope to drive down Milan's asking price by including Seydou Keita in their offer.

Keita has been a long-term target for Milan and attracted enquiries in January.

i hope we don't sign keita

Dont be short sighted. Sometimes you need mercenaries (Ibra) when what you have isnt good enough.

Thiago has said he would stay here but you have to understand he wants to compete at the highest level. We said we were building that team and now it doesnt look that way.

If he is just after another pay increase (didnt he get one this season?) then we either get top dollar from Barca this year or preferably next when we have had a chance to bring in someone else or groomed a replacement by then.

I never meant to imply that what he's doing is wrong. I meant that if he aspires to be like Maldini and Baresi he's going about it the wrong way.

Well if Milan went about trying to build winning teams to continue their success of the past then I am sure players like Kaka and Thiago Silva would still be here. I think it is hard for a player to know he is giving his all and management isnt.

Even Maldini said Milan wasnt being serious when they didnt replace Kaka because you cant talk about winning the CL without a couple of those types of players.

Its also a different era and money is a big part now for the players, all of the top guys no matter how loyal they are will want to make close to market value because so much more is out in the open.

I truly hope though that Thiago isnt like Kaka and trying to get the most possible out of Milan. He can be well paid but hopefully he is looking for management to re-inforce the team more.

To think we could have bought Kompany before and soemhow didnt. Apparently he is not on the top list of pay packets at City and seems fine. Maybe he is a throwback or maybe he is just waiting to deal with it quietly. With all the rumors and media you never know unless you are inside the team.

and why is that????

Did my description of Ibra rub you the wrong way.

You talk about Thiago as someone who bleeds red and black (he's doing his third season here), but if he would like to move to compete at the highest level you'd understand.

At the same time you call Ibra a mercenary.

I said that Thiago Silva stated he would stay.

I also said that if he really also just wanted money we should let him go (think I said it here as well as the transfer thread)

I also said that unless you are on the inside you dont really know.

I have also stated in various threads that if Milan wants to continue they should spend to improve the team to keep Ibra and Thiago Silva happy.

If you dont like my assessment of Ibra that is fine, tomato tommahto. I dont care if he is a merc or not and I am happy that he has kept Milan relevant. That too I have stated numerous times. If anyone that disagrees with your viewpoint is stupid then I guess your bubble is extremely small and you have excuses for all the teams Ibra has left and why none of it is fault just circumstance.

All this agent talk is exactly that, agent talk, Thiago hasn't given off any signs that he's unhappy here, he's previously stated that he wants to be captain of Milan and become like Maldini and Baresi, he's also stated in the past that his wife is very happy and comfortable in Milan, and he does seem like that type of guy who pays attention to his family's happiness.

He might only be in his third season here but theres a reason he can be imagined as a future club legend like maldini and baresi while Ibra will never be, he hasn't played for Merda and Ladri.

Reports are now saying that he won't be ready for derby... I would have thought he was being saved for this match by Allegri...?

I hope he plays, I will be much more confident with him on the pitch!

TS has never been saved, just like Ibra.

If he doesn't play, it's simply because he is not able to.

They said he would be ready for Bologna.

Thiago said: "I'm not ready for such a tough match as against Inter."

- "He will not be ready for play, says AC Milan coach Max Allegri."

He was severely criticized because he thought Silva against Roma on March 24, when the Milan CB really should have rested.

"I take the blame"

Allegri's decision also meant that Thiago Silva missed the CL meetings with Barcelona.

- "I take the blame", Allegri has said several times.

Much of the criticism is also directed against Milan's already highly contested physical training staff, with director Daniele Tognaccini in the lead.

- "The fact that Thiago is not ready for play against Inter show further that something is wrong in rehab training and building exercises, a Milan-contact says."

Think of the Olympics

Others argue, however, that Thiago Silva, now that the league title seemed to go to Juventus, did not want to risk anything for nothing.

- "The Brazilians think of the Olympics. Just look at Robinho's relaxed behaviour that has got him benched a Milan source says."

Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if the match against Roma was his last one in the Milan dress...
