I hope we win this one, would be great to end this year on a high,i think Allegri has this one in the bag.Mind you Roma excells against big teams, but their defense is so crappy that Ibra&Binho will have enough oppurtunities to win this game for us.

i think we have done well against Roma in the last cpl of seasons... if we area able to contain Menez then it should be comfortable (theoretically) for us

I think our players will be 1000 % motivated for this fixture. The last one before the break, at the top of the table, in front of the supporters...all the conditions are there.

I just hope our new trio upfront will play as the devil can do.

It might be like the Juventus fixtures of last year, where both were expected to be hard and yet we were found to be motivated and won both easily.

Last season Milan beat Roma 2-1 at the San Siro.

Milan where 1-0 behind at half time after Leo picked a stupid line-up for the first half & also T. Silva made a terrible error to gift the goal to Menez(T. Silva was just returning from injury), he then changed it to the proper line-up/formation which gave Milan lots of success in the second half & for sometime after & Milan came back to win 2-1 with a penalty from Ronaldinho & a winner from Pato from a great Ronaldinho pass, Ambrosini got sent off late on.

The change of line-up/formation at half time basically set Milan on the way to the likes of great wins over Roma,Real Madrid,Juve,Fiorentina etc.

Roma should be just as motivated. After a shitty start they have picked up and are close to the top. Just sayin'.

3-1 Zlatan x2, Robinho, Riise

seeing as how ibra is not really a big game player, cliché i know, but it has proven true so far, im not expecting him to tear this game apart

In the last 12 months he decided El Clasico and Derby della Madonnina on his own. The two biggest games in league football. Few players have done that.

IMO, Ibra reputation as a big game flop came mostly from his time at Inter who really had no one to relieve the pressure off Ibra in a big game.

4-3-1-2 vs 4-3-1-2

Midfield will be packed with 8 players. Fullbacks will be key to provide width. Unfortunately, Antonini is play.

I'd remember Ibra own Roma by himself several times, so at least this one not counts on his "choke" list.

Eh, Zambro really doesn't add much in terms of an attacking FB compared to Antonini, just better defensively... sometimes. Other times he comes way too far up and doesn't have the pace to get back. Antonini might be better for this matchup because he has better speed.

I haven't watched a Roma game in forever, what are they playing?

Castellini-Juan-Mexes-Cassetti? Isn't Riise injured?

Agreed. But to a certain extent, he also missed a few sitters here and there in big games. Still, it was always ball to Ibra + lets see what he can create.

To me, Mexes looked to be in good form last week. Dominating display by him, and that was with Burdisso as his CB partner. With Juan, Ibra will have his work cut out, and will most definitely need the support from midfield and Binho + KPB to be at his magical best.

FORZA!!!

Milannews says Strasser is in the probable formation:
if this is the case, we're gonna need a miracle not to concede at least one goal - with Anto & Boner playing at the same time we're very vulnerable at the back and Strasser is still a big enigma for the midfield. It's hard to expect he'll impose himself against the likes of De Rossi & Brighi.
Anyway, Roma's defense is also far from impressive and I expect Ibra & Binho to do the damage once again. But we'll also need lot of support from Boateng, Pirlo and others if we want to win the match.

I think Rino will make it,he has been doubling the work this week and is already training with the group,he will play for sure.We all know the formation..

Abbiati,Abate,Nesta,Bonera,Antonini,Gattuso,Maestro,Ambrosini,Prince,Ibra and Robinho.

I feel confident for this one, with our attack we should finish this job.

Im sure whoever the reff is he will be hugely biased in milans favor like its been happing throughout the season so far.;):proud:

I hope gattuso comes back since seedorf will certainly start if hes not available + starting strasser in such an important match seems like really risky anways.

Shame de rossi didnt get a longer ban.

looking forward to this big clash going into the winter break..this will also show alot about us, if we come out and drop the hammer down on them early..i say we roll like we have been with the lineup, playing boateng behind ibra and binho', because it has been helping our attack tremendously..looking for a tough battle this weekend, with us coming out on top with a nice win..
