Terry is slow... his lack of pace is evident every time the ball slips is... is highly over-rated ...

Lampard .... is as useless as it gets... shoot from the midfield and let the strikers watch .... thinks he can do it all on his own... dont really see him inspiring a group of monkeys...let alone footballers... can make a differnce when everyone else is not performing ...

i was really impresed by gerrard when he led Liverpool to the CL trophy from 3-0 down (no matter how much i hate them i have to agree...) ...only Gerrard is captain material.. Even better than Beckham...

All I know Owen is second captain if Becks gets out to play, say it's should've him inherited the armband automatically. Poor Owen's recent injury makes him to taking a rest for not contributing in following England's fixtures. At the time, McLaren's already made his decision who will England skipper replacement to be.

I'd say either Terry or Gerrard.

Terry ---- is a leader character, spirit icon for The Blues. His (yelling) contribution to maintain back-to-back Chelski's consecutive title was second to none, and as defender he's got the upper hand to looking/reading the game freely on pitch battle ahead.

Gerrard --- Since took over the armband from Hyypia at Pool, Stevie G is vital figure and has always been a saviour at critical times happened. These both FA Cup and CL 2006 trophies were ocular proof into his name.

I am sure Terry will get the nod. He has made everyone forget that he used to be a trouble-maker, remember he assaulted someone and was left off the WC 02 side. Yeah, he plays as a DM @ England, that's why he sucks. He should play in Fat Frank's position and let Hargreaves take his tasks as a DM.

Terry is also good, but i don't think his leadship is better than Gerrard. Because Chelsea has more stronger players than Liverpool.
