I'd like to add Ibra to my list.

No trolling. He's destroying the team atm from within and without.

^^ what the fuck is wrong with you?

how is the sole reason Milan are challenging for the league destroying the team? is it his fault B&G lied to him and bought fodder to back him up?

IIRC, you complained in one of the match threads(I think Lazio Coppa game) about why we don't always play "like this". What was also rare about this game is Ibra wasn't on the pitch(he came in late).

 You don't realize the reason our game had so much fluidity, our transitions happened so fast and Lazio couldn't cope up with us is we didn't have lazy ass Ibra who want to be 90% of our attack.

What you're doing is like crying all day about "omagad racizzm is so terrible, we need to stop it, NAAOW!" while being pro-apartheid, thinking it has nothing to do with racism.

Even though I disagree with you, but you made a legend out of yourself with that comment IMO.

I agree.

But i love Ibra, He just shouldn't be involved all the time, he slows our tempo really much down.
We should learn to play like a team with Ibra. It's not Ibra's fault, It's Allegri's.

did you watch the first leg against arsenal? where Milan played fluid football with Ibra pulling the strings.

Ibra is not the problem in the "big games" he usually gets zonal marked by the opposing team or 2 men man mark him, he still manages to make the moves and passes that quality team mates would make use of.

if Milan actually had players who can do something, the fact that ibra pulls 2-3 players with him would be a HUGE advantage for the other players who would make use of the space and score, but since this team is full of average players, no one really makes use of it.

the only guy who can actually feed off and be useful in a big game is boateng, and even then he's simply a good player who's extremely injury prone.

The problem is no one knows that right now what kind of a player Ibra is.

Is he the classic poacher #9? No. The pure play maker? Winger? No. First source of goals? yes. Responsible for every attack yes.

I have not seen someone like this in any team. Considering he's had to play with a lot of different combination up front and all for a short period of time, there's no surprise why we still haven't find THE way to utilize Ibra.

Sheva and Kaka never had this much responsibilty. Kaka did perform more than expected when he had a good day, but still he had his limits and zones.

Ibra has been totally different. We don't play 4-3-1-2, we play 4-3-2-Ibra. That's why sometimes we are more efficient whituout Ibra on the pitch, because at least we play as we want. With Ibra there is always the unpredictability.

Is it good? Yes. Because we are able to get results. Can it improve? Yes and It should, hopefully next season when we'll have a fit Pato, Boateng and Cassano form the beginning and don't need to be in emergency mode the whole season.

Step one : Build a midfield.

Nope, it's Ibra's. He's physically and/or mentally incapable of covering 10-11km game after game, unlike most quality players. And he wants to have freedom on the pitch because he wants "responsibility"(but blames on teammates when we fuck up), being in the center of everything and basically doing wtf he wants to do on the pitch even if it's bad for his team, which it in many cases are. Allegri more or less admitted in a recent interview he wants Ibra to play like a real CF. But he hasn't done so yet.

Allegri should bench him, but Ibra is a ticking bomb and they both know Berlu would pick Ibra's side if anything happens so I don't think he has that balls for it.

Ibra needs time and space. His lack of movement and his style of play makes him unsuitable for many big games. He can shine against Arsenal and similar teams who play possession-based football because they always give him space, but

He got time on the ball + space + shitty defending at San Siro against Arsenal
He got space, but not much time or shitty defending at Emirates...and he was shit in that game
He gets space and sometimes time and silly defending against Roma and Barca

This makes him not a player to depend on in big games becaue he usually don't get much time, space or shitty defending. Which is why we look better without him against Juve and Inter even though Maxi doesn't have half of his talents. I'm pretty sure we would've also done better without him against Tottenham.

You can not be zonally marked out of the game, zonal marking is about covering a certain area of the pitch and only worrying about players in your zone, if you get marked out of a game by a team who use zonal marking you are simply too stupid to understand that movement is what undoes zonal marking or too lazy to move between the zones.
When man marked Ibra does create space but his distribution and decision making is more often than not slow enough to allow defences to organize themselves. How many times have we seen Ibra take the ball into the box usually to the left hand side, face up to 1 or 2 defenders then take 3-4 seconds to decide that hes going to ignore his team mates because by this time the defence and midfield have made it into position and the space he created has disappeared because he is too slow.

Milan does possess a player who has the footballing intelligence to understand what to do when up against a zonal or man marking team, its a shame he's 38 though.

what I meant was, certain teams don't really employ a certain player or 2 to man mark him, that's where they would just surround him whenever he would move or get the ball in that area, which is usually the left/central side of the field.

I know ibra is not too big on movement, but that doesn't mean he doesn't play well in big games, he actually played well against bartha and was the only player capable of doing something, his team mates were simply too shit.

Dude that doesn't make sense. Ibra comes with a package, and at the moment he's the best option for a Milan that is struggling with cash.

I'd understand if Milan were barcelona and Ibra was simply out of sync with the team. But with the current 'quality' in the team, the best thing to do is go Ibra+10.

He's certainly needed to destroy provincial teams one by one until he gets tired somewhere around Feb and March, but the fact he's unbenchable, seem to have Allegri by the balls, makes us worse in many big games and sometimes even against shit teams when he's lazying around, and also that we've played some of our best football without him and all the mess he's creating within and without the team is more frustrating for me than us playing against Portsmouth in Europa League.

As I said, Ibra comes with a package. He has his positives and negatives. For me it's really simple, Ibra is the only world class player in this team along with Thiago Silva, thus I'm really grateful to have him. It would be a different story if Milan had an awesome team and Ibra was limiting it with his need to be the focal point, moody attitude & the habit of getting sent off, and his static nature which often lets him down in big games. But the reality is without him the team is mediocre at best.

It's unfair to blame him when we wouldn't be even competing if not for him.

Hate the cheap one that put Milan in the situation of Ibra+10. Not Ibra himself. ;)

I'm a bit unfair, I'll admit:D, but it's the fact he can go from VEEEERY useful in one game for the team to fullblown AIDS in another game that is pissing me off.

However, there's been many games where he's limited the team. C'mon, you can't say it's just a coincidence we played MUCH better without him against Juve this season? We've played some great counterattacking football in almost every game he's been missing.

I used to hate Robinho until he joined Milan. I wanted to kick him out of the Brazilian NT at all costs before that.

I also don't like Thiago Motta. Disgusting player, even if he's got his qualities. Playing for Inter also didn't help him.

Ah, also the classic hating kit Bonera + Antonini, but that one is a little bit forgotten by good performances by both recently.
