watch how Barca were getting through him like a hot knife through butter. Did they have the same freedom against Ambro in the knockout stages?

We had far more shots against Barcelona with Van Bommel's distribution than we had with Ambrosini's and in the first Barcelona encounter we had to do without Zlatan and most of the game without Boateng also.

Van Bommel being butter? Barcelona had 39 shots in the two games with Ambrosini and 38 shots against Van Bommel. Just saying.

true. Xavi has too much in his arsenal than horizontal passes to be bogged down by such a narrow term.

Hows about xavi : Regista of the future? Or Total Regista? or mid field perfection?

yes, but you see, I don't only look at the seasons where Milan win titles in the last decade, because then we won't have much to talk about.

we're talking about pirlo doing fuck all in his last 4-5 years at Milan until he joined jube.

titles don't define which player is better, it's a short sighted arguement.

grosso won a WC as a starting LB, yet I can list you many LBs that shit on him that didn't win WCs.
Well, what has Grosso done for club?

Nothing ... right?

Think Sage ... think for once.

:proud: its more than what fairy gave us in half a decade. I am a grateful man. :proud:
Errrr ... and what about Pirlo? Not grateful for his contribution to Milan?

Bet you we never win big ears with that thug around.

when facing off with you, I can shut down my brain and still pull off a better argument.

grosso won titles at club level, contributed for the 06-07 scudetto and lyon's double.

the point of this my little friend is, don't judge players by titles, because then players like o'shea are going to look amazing.

Ah ... now we're talking about vb0ss' distribution? I thought we're not supposed to be talking about that since he's DEFENSIVE ENFORCER OF THE WORLD AND UNIVERSE!!!

And anyone who watched all 4 games would know how much more solid we were in the knockout stages despite missing Silva. This too against a Bartha side who had to go all out or else face elimination.

Messi ran rings around vb0ss ... remember Nesta's massive tackle on Messi? Remember what vb0ss was trying to do right before? Fuck it was embarrassing to watch really ...

Neither were as fundamental to their teams as Pirlo was to Milan, Italy and now Juve. Thought you knew English.

Hehe ... glad someone's enjoying this ...

Did you read the fatsonaldo posts? :D

Sorry if offended. Madridista's been too cocky of late :o

NOT AS HARD A TIME AS HE GAVE AMBRO ... do the math, or can I trust your brain to do that?

Oh well ... I'll have to because I'm going after another unproductive day at work.

Might pop in from home on my mobile after getting high.

Cheers.

PS. Fuck Pirlo for winning Juve the Scudetto ... but we have ourselves to blame. Time to replace him with a better player, not a worse one.

I'm out.

you get high? explains most of your posts.

Milan need to replace players on the sides of MVB, basically the nocerinos/aquilani/muntari should not be starters, that's something your little brain should comprehend.

but MVB is getting old, so signing an anchor would be ideal and having MVB to cover would be sweet, but out of the mid 3, he's not the problem.

ambro had a hard time and 8 other players defending with him, I don't see how it's an achievement.

and stop saying fuck juve, we all know you teared up and enjoyed their title when your precious fairy was running around with his horse face smiling. :proud:

Where did I say that Van Bommel is good only when it comes to defence?

And Van Bommel also had a massive tackle at the penalty line in the second Barcelona game of the group stages. I'm not sure if it was against Messi, Villa or Fabregas, but it was huge. German broadcasters had it in their CL intro.

He will never ever get what even apes would get. He and Jivara will never get it.

Guys you are being trolled to no end. Great Kalou is famous for his twisting of arguments and the tactics of 'lies repeated a thousand times becomes truth'. ;)

I don't even whats the debate. Whos better, Pirlo or van Bommel? Its comparing apples and oranges, both of which not of top class. Whats undeniable is that Pirlo doesn't give a rats ass about Milan (so much of his legacy/service), as proven by going to Juventus for money and riding Conte's squad to a title for his own personal glory, when he could have easily chosen Chelsea, Man utd/City, Bayern, Tottenham, so to not help out the biggest rival to dethrone Milan.

Expecting further Ronaldo bashing and obviously no real response to the points being raised.

stroking it  lovin it. xavi's international record and club record both are better than pirlo's. Clearly better and clearly influential.

i have never denied pirlo's contribution pre 07. But post 07 he has been like the weed growing unattended in my lawn. A waste of space. :D

Thug has won big ears. no need to worry.
Pirlo wouldnt win UCL if he was at milan right now nor will he be winning it at juventus. In fact he will be the reason why we would get ko-ed like 10'. Too busy being park's (bet he learned how to press from le b0ss. He was so effective) bitch. :)

I change my request from #StickyPirlo to #DeleteThread. Sadly.

btw, Pirlo at his best was rather superior to Xavi. I can only sympathize with those who missed out on those happy Milan moments.

pirlo played minimal role in both our big ear campaigns. it was a moot point to begin with.

we didn't miss out, we just don't overrate him ;)

there are barely any midfielders better than xavi at his best in the last 25-30 years.

xavi and pirlo are two different types of playmakers. unfair to compare them imo.

you don't see xavi making those pinpoint long balls to forwards but then again, you don't see pirlo using tiki-taka short passes either.

I can only talk about the last ~14-15 years, and in that time, no one has been in Pirlo's or Xavi's level - when each one was at his respective best.. Not counting players like Zidane, Kaka etc - that's a different category altogether.

Xavi's rise, peak and entire career has been exactly like Pirlo's actually - except each stage followed around 3-4 seasons later. In other words, very similar. I found Pirlo superior, perhaps because I watched him week-in week-out, unlike Xavi, whom I watch around 15 times a season.

It is funny that you guys are arguing between two very similar players with very similar careers.

(Except for Pirlo's sudden rise back to the top this season.)
