pato made the brasil squad. Lots of managers must know that he is worth the risk.

Seriously he made it to the Olympics?? wow Mano has some serious balls taking him..

have no illusions about Milan selling him if he keeps getting injured. Even if they want to nobody will want to buy him. the only options are wait for his contract to expire or loan to Brazil.

I sincerely hope he isn't idiotic enough to play in the olympics

The kid should be focusing on getting better, not jumping back into the wagon

Plus, don't clubs have the options to restrict players from playing in the olympics?

Why? He's been working on getting better for quite some time.

If he can't play the Olympics in 3 months maybe he should consider a career outside football.

Agreed. The only reason Thiago Silva and Pato haven't played in the end of the season is because they want to be full fit for the olympics + Milan don't want to risk. Our medical team or something is really f'cked up, since there has been many more injuries than just Pato's.
Fix him and he'll be great. We need Pato agaisnt big teams since likes of Cassano can't do shit against Real Madrid and I think Robinho is going to Santos.
You can't deny Pato's talent so I would give him a year or at least till January. And he has class and you can't say the same about many of our current players...

ancelotti has been constantly providing us an escape route and we just keep refusing. Berlu needs to know that paris to milan isnt really a long distance relationship. Be a man and pull the plug.

Pato is extremely important, and him getting the number 9 would be pretty cool. He deserves it much more than anyone else anyway. Plus, it must only have good luck associated with it after pippo graced it.

Going to the Olympics should be good for him, and for us. We want young fans to watch pato play, and play well, helping our image etc.

As long as pato is ready for next season, hell, the season after, i dont mind.

Plus, those who say they have given up on him are crazy. We have seen that when he plays, he is irreplaceable.

If he does set the world alight, then great. if not, then he will be our very own inzaghi wih speed who when plays scores goals.

No, he really doesn't. He really, really doesn't.

A Pato in top form performing like his talent shows is possible does.
But we haven't seen that dude except in our dreams. And brief moments on the field. That guy might not exist.

As for numbers: Ibra will have first pick of course. But I hope he sticks with 11.

Let's give him another shot. We have to. If he fails... there is always PSG. I hope Pato returns to his previous best.

Aside from ibra, who should indeed have his pick, pato is the one who has the most importance up front. Ibra>pato>cassano>robinho>SES.

As for pato not performing, well, who can do well so soon after injury or playing when injured. Under leo, pato played and carried us along with dinhos help. With the right partership and time, pato will again show his worth. Obviously this is just my opinion, but i wouldnt sell pato for anyone.

We have the players to assist in ibra and cassano, pato is the missing link who can put the ball in the net.

In 2007, Milan said goodbye to Alessandro Costacurta. In 2009, it was Paolo Maldini. Last year, it was Andrea Pirlo. Today its Nesta and Inzaghi and Zambrotta and Seedorf and Van Bommel and Gattuso.

Pato or his replacement should take the no. 9 shirt. And pass on the no. 7 to Boateng. Let us have some traditional order in shirt numbers, please.

What's so traditional about Boatang wearing # 7? Is he more of Sheva than Pato?

Vad säger du? Du tror att Cassano är bättre än Pato?

SeS can't be seen as starter for a couple of years, and besides he came in as a trequarista. Cassano is good, but he lacks pace. His great when we hold the ball though and he seems to be in better shape now then before his heart problem.
Fit Pato is more useful than Cassano especially against the likes of Madrid, Barca and Bayern. Montolivo should aid Pato as well since we now have a midfielder that has at least some creativity.
Of course if Pato is injured he's useless and that's why during the summer we need to do something about it. And if the next season is as bad as this one there's always Ancelotti and PSG...
