Yeah, that's my thought too. There's a few movies I like a lot. And a lot I don't like. Any recommendations?
Just got back from Lawless, that movie gives a whole new meaning to the phrase " Run Forrest Run ")

Well if you haven't watched it then watch Moon, it's a must see imo, one of my favorite movies from recent years. Gattaca is another good hollywood Sci-Fi, although it's a long time since I've seen it, so is Twelve Monkeys. Also The Thing is one of my favorite Sci-Fi horrors, must see imo.
There are quite a few others I've wanted to see, but just hasn't gotten around to. Brazil by Terry Gilliam (The guy from Monty Python, he also did Twelve Monkeys) looks great, the Russian movies The Stalker and Solaris, looks really interesting as well. I've seen Soderbergs Solaris, but the original is supposed to be much better. If anyones seen any of these, please let me know if they're worth watching.
Is it good? Just saw it was written by Nick Cave, WTF? Well he usually does alot of story telling in his music, so guess it makes sense

I had seen bits from boths but wasn't concentrated enough. And these two need concentration to get max experience.Dude you're discovering those 2 movies just now?Fan of both.
Moon looks really interesting, thanks.
12 monkeys looks so familiar, I'm sure I've seen it before... Just can't remember details of the movie.
Brazil is another I'm looking for...
Moon: kevin spacey is always interesting
12 monkies:everything of terry gilliam is a kind of art:
in 1988 he gave uma thurman a splendid role in a really good film untill he gave Heath Ledger (RIP) his last role

Man, I watched both movies...
Just didn't link the movies with the director before
And yeah, he seems to have some very clear and strong artistic pattern... He love the bizarre and the grotesque (in his characters too) and 19 century aesthetics.
He also directed this movie.

Damn, I wanna watch that again

Think if I watched it I'd just wanna go on a week long bender. The soundtrack sorta has that effect on me as well![]()

He also wrote The Proposition
- a very good western. (meanwhile the soundtrack of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is on of my favourites)

Has anyone seen A Dangerous method?
).Unless you're really interested about the history of physchoanalysis you'd probably find it pretty dull/boring. The only reason I bothered watching it was because of the cast (and promised sexual tension).
Loopers. Crazy.
watched girl with the dragon tattoo this weekend. was suspensful and interesting (the half of the movie about the missing girl) but overall far too violent and disturbing. especially the **** scene, my god how awful...and i didn't even watch it! i made my husband mute the movie too...only problem is later in the movie, when she's getting her revenge, she plays the video of her **** in the background...so there was no getting away from it
no more of these kind of movies for me, i think. i find them too upsetting and they bother me for weeks on end. from now on comedies only...if it's got will ferrell in it then OK![]()
