Alien, definetly. I really don't like any of the other Alien movies, they just seemed to get worse and worse and worse. Alien is a Sci-Fi horror movie, and imo the best of it's kind. I don't know what age you are, but if you're over 14 I think you'd like it.

Aliens (Alien 2) is a shoot-em-up movie, which is exactly as it sounds like. Imo it's a mess, but there are alot of people that really like it, so that's for you to decide.

Alien 3 tries to go back to the claustrophobic feel of the first movie, but it's a mess really. The film was re-written a million times by the studio, and they changed director several times during the project, so it ends up being a bit of a Frankenstein of a movie.

I really don't remember Alien 4 or any of the other movies they made (Alien vs Predator 1, 2, 3?), but I have watched them and I remember that I didn't like them

I finally got 'round to seeing Prometheus on my flight back to the US.

During the movie, I was on the edge of my seat. The suspense was great, the visuals and action were great.

But I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth. As a prequel to Alien, it does absolutely nothing to tie together to the unspoken aspects of Scott's first film. I kind of wish he just wrote the film too, instead of only directing it.

Now I feel like you have to completely disregard Prometheus as a canonical prequel to Alien and Aliens if they're to remotely make any sense again.

Actually I watched that for some Eastern European perspective...it was shot in Sofia, the whole film (presumption).


Christian Slater should

a) date the Sybil-chick he had as his support..she was weally, weally pretty! (as the belly dancer persona)

b) try to keep his mouth closed for three minutes straight..it was ALWAYS open even when he wasn't talking..I mean, an errant fly was probably around on set somewhere..

Afterlife felt like a complete.. a COMPLETE waste of money for a 3D movie

they even had fucking zombies running around under water!

Meanwhile I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered Gone Baby Gone. Great acting, great storytelling, great thriller.

Couldn't get the jist of Cloverfield. Felt like I would rather watch the home video of the day the main characters caught after a night together.

It's not very conventional to say the least, it's all in one setting, might as well have been a play, and as far as I remember there's not a whole lot of drama (Except around one particular situation), but it has some really cool ideas, and it makes you think.

Yeah, that's my thought too. There's a few movies I like a lot. And a lot I don't like. Any recommendations?
