lol
it's cute how people still delude themselves despite plenty of evidence to the contrary
No Allegri type transfer? What do you call Torres then?
And even then, what do you call still having a shit midfield then?. Because, while it may be difficult for you to grasp...WE DO NOT FUCKIN PAY FOR GOOD PLAYERS. We will only get them if they come for free or dirt cheap
And considering there are no good players available for free in January (where even the shit ones are out of our budget) the likes of Pasqual and Lazzari seem more likely to come. Because that's what we have been fuckin' doing every fuckin' bloody season. And no offense, it doesnt look like that strategy will change anytime soon.
First of all, don't forget we brought in THREE players for our defence (Alex, Rami and DL) and bought for smart money a decent and polyvalent midfielder (Bonaventura). Our midfield is still shit alright but it was clear we wont change 80% of our squad within one summer - that's what I call wishful thinking (mentioning it here as Razor said that about my mentality). Step by step guys...
Torres is a gamble, admitted, IMO it's not said if he will or won't pay off, future will show, just like many people wanted Honda gone last summer, and suddenly after the first 7 games he's everybody's darling.
Pippo's philosophy is: first comes the man, than the player. Many voices were saying how we lost our Milan identity since Allegri took over and he literally send some senators away. Under Seedorf it got even worse. One of Pippos most important tasks is to bring that mentality back as a starting point for a hopefully bright future. That said, Torres is said to have a very professional attitude, is humble and trains hard and intensively, gives it all in every session. You can say as much dirt about Torres as you want, but he
is a true professional. Balo isn't. And after seeing him playing at Liverpool (the so called "last chance to show what he's worth"... Lol how much was that said here in Milan...), where he contributes shit, well... Then I prefer a true professional like Torres, who at least helps to keep up a professional mentality in the locker, on trainings and on the field.
Oh yes Torres has still to prove on field he's worth of our shirt, at the end of the day he MUST be judged also by the endproduct he delivers and that's for the moment
not sufficent. But give him some time...
