He's just hyping up the Modern Era since that's the only one he's seen
Just one of those other guys who say everything new is better than old just because it's new
Pathetic really
And if we're talking stats than Pele is the GOAT...and Gerd Muller>any Striker ever but I know most people wouldn't agree to this

Dont give a shit about him trying to do something effortlessly. In the end results matter, he never delivered in UCL unlike the aforementioned duo. They also have better numbers overall in comparison. Injuries messed up his career, not my problem. C.ronaldo and messi >>> fatfuck in terms of statistics, consistency, longevity and end product. As for him winning two world cups, well those accolades dont carry as much weight cause he played for the best team in the world at the time. You do realize that messi runs the least in his team yet he has more impact on the game than any other player in comparison. I hate that pipsqueak but he is probably in contention for the GOAT award. Perhaps fatty was better than c.ronaldo but definitely not messi.
Looool #thatyouare13attack. Bitch please. Last thing i want to hear is some advice from a person who rates robinho above ribery and thinks balo is the best young player in the world. Stop looking at names, i would even say suarez > fatfuck. Even if fatty was great, he was never consistent enough in club football due to injuries. What he was able to do despite putting the least amount of effort is all fine but in the end trophies matter. He won 1 league title lol, that simply isnt good enough.

He is great but he still massively underachieved. Not worth comparing with messi who imo is a much better player. Suarez can be compared with ronaldo. Look at his stats. Dont keep jerking off to big names lol. Suarez played for a pathetic liverpool side, yet he managed to make them competitive and nearly won the league for them last year in what was probably the toughest league to win last season especially when u have cash rich clubs like man city who have reserve players capable of starting in the top 5 teams atm. Look at the way suatez played for his country in the last world cup, he dragged them all the way to the semi finals with a pretty mediocre uruguay side. Suarez is a greatttttt player.
u guys are way too biased and arent being objective at all lol. Always with same old 'past players were the greatest' notion. Clearly the game is much faster now with better fitness, training, equipment, diet etc and there are a better bunch offensive players compared to the past eras where only a few stood out. There is more depth now, lot of teams actually have top quality offensive players. They may not be in the all time great category but they are still great players nevertheless. There is a dearth of quality defenders right now. Conversely, the quality in the attacking department has increased monumentally in the modern era. Not great names but they are simply better fits overall for their respective teams, where each individual possess a certain attribute of the game that contributes immensely for their teams'success. Restricted tasks but they are just as productive
i like the fact that you say he played for the best team in the world thats why he won 2 WC but not saying that he played for inter for a big part of his career and messi and cr7 played for giants RM and barca who atm are best teams in world....
so maradona is shit too...he never won UCL and only 1 scudetto...
you clearly know shit about football.stats stats and stats again.i think that its difficult for you to understand that scoring 27 goals in serie a late 90's with the worlds best defenses ever is greater than scoring 30-40 goals in a league with no defenses when there are 2 teams scoring over 100 goals year in year out.half of hungarian playes played between 30-50 have over 400 goals.does that make them better that sheva van basten etc??...go explain the beauty of football zidane and maradona played with stats...good luck with it
the revolution caused by r9 in football can only be compared with pele...
on other posts i could take a comparison between ibra and suarez.they seem pretty much equal to me, both in their own ways and they are both very very good players but both worst than r9.
if we assume that pele played too much back in time and cant compare his era(as it was not fully professional ) with modern era and consider maradona probable the best player of the modern era than i can say that r9 and zidane are the only 2 players that can be compared with maradona and may be better than him.after those 3 comes messi along with romario and van basten.but dont put suarez and cr7 in that equation....there are at least 100 players post 1986 that can be compared with cr7 and suarez....sheva gullit weah ronaldinho raul batigoal baggio falcao laudrub savisevic henry etc etc
also for messi you are biased by the fact that u ve seen him play for barca(and ultra creative team who scores year in year out over 100 goals in la liga alone). i would like to see him in a serie b team like napoli in 1980's and make them win serie a and UEFA cup or a current milan(like r9 at inter in 1998) and then maybe comparisons would have a point...
So messi's 40 goals for agentina doesnt count anymore lol? Who helped them reach the final of the world cup this year? Messi is a GOAT. Get over it dude. R9 is inferior to messi. Yeah r9 played for inter, real, barca etc. So you are telling me these aren't big clubs?
i already explained this earlier. Yes the fucking defenses are worse in the modern era but the quality in the offensive department has improved immensely. Its more of a tactical game these days, refs are not as lenient anymore. So lot of the defenders in the past era would get away with a yellow or at times nothing despite making some malicious challenges. I am only talking about the post 90s era, so messi imo is the greatest player under this classification. If you include greats from past eras prior to 90s, then obviously maradona is the greatest. Winning titles matter to an extent, how else are u gunna find out who is the best. Totti played for roma, had he won more titles he would be proclaimed as one of the greats too. The fact that he choked often in league competitions and more evidently in champions league devalues his credentials. Had he played for a better club, he may have won more? Well he prefers to be a big fish in a small pond. So any imaginary titles he may have garnered if he played for a better team is all pure conjecture and bs. Same applies to r9.
As for suarez vs ibra. Believe me, i am a bigger ibra fan boy than any of u guys here but suarez imo has been better over the past two seasons and he is only 27. Btw SHEVchenko is >>>>>> both ibra and suarez.
fuck r9. Marco van basten >>> Shevchenko and henry >>>>zidane>>> r9 >>>> suarez>ibra.
Messi is better than all of them. C.ronalo is somewhere between r9 and ibra. I left out etoo who is probably just as good as ibra. Weah, boban, gullit, zidane are all probably better than c.ron, ibra and suarez. Ronaldinho and kaka were great but i still think henry and sheva were better than both cause their peak form lasted longer in comparison. I would put c.ron ahead of ronaldinho and kaka cause of his consistency.
and i rate karim very high...obviously considering messi top 10 players ever played the game actually means i count on him and his argentina records....
obviously you havent seen that era i m talking about.r9 and zidane could pass past every single player back then on 1-on-1 or even 1-on-3 and defenders back then were so fearsome that made gattuso shit his pants.
also you contradict yourself.you say nowadays defenses are weak but game is much more tactical????how can that be done??esp in spain where messi plays game is all about skill and speed, no tactics no defense at all.
benzema surpassed r9 record of goals in RM i think and he is only 26-27. and he also won CL and la liga etc...so according to your logic is better player than ronaldo....and i rate karim very high...
just a sign how zero defense ability + far better creative machine behind him can help a player fix his stats....
an advice.if you want stats go to baseball and nba.there yes stats tell 90% of the truth about the game.bu in football at max stats tell 50% of the truth.dont judge players according to wiki alone...

Exactly - brief period of time. That brief period is not enough to warrant a GOAT status in the post 90s era. Hence why i rate messi, MVB, zidane, shevcehnko and henry over r9. Consistency matters. In club football to be specific, all these players were much better than r9.
I would agree that people romanticize the past... But you're nuts with the 'messi is waaaay better than R9' bit.
When you get to R9 status... It really doesn't matter. I would have prime messi and prime R9 on the same starting 11.
Let's let this one go.
No im sorry, Ronaldo was better than Henry or Shevchenko. Its not like he dropped off in form he had major knee surgery which set him back in his development
Had he been as fortunate as Messi in regards to injuries im certain he would be the greatest player of all time easily
Ronaldo proved himself over and over again in any stage and any team, even if he was never at his best he still had that magical aura around him. If you want to talk about consistency then Ronaldo CONSISTANTLY proved he could score goals, doesn't matter what league or team. Could easily argue for most if not all of those players you mentioned, that they struggled or didn't do as well in other leagues. ie Sheva in Chelsea, Henry at Juve, Messi hasn't even moved anywhere but is not as good as he is for Barcelona when he plays for Argentina. Ronaldo played well in Italy, Spain, Brazil, Holland and for his national team.
Ronaldo at his peak beats any of those players you mentioned, I don't think you can have Zidane in this argument because Zidane is a midfielder and you can compare them because they have different skill sets. He was adaptable and would beat any player you would put him up against. There is a reason why a shit tonne of professional strikers all have Ronaldo as their idol
He played the best football of all time
Id take him over Messi in my team based on the years he had at the top
I would have prime messi and prime R9 on the same starting 11.

C.ronaldo >>>>> ronaldimho and kaka. Get your head out of ur ass. He was far more consistent and his peak form lasted faaaaaaaaaaar longer than the aforementioned duo.
bro's still answering swagger
Y'all should have known not to reply when he said Henry was better!
It has nothing to do with romanticising the past
A better player plays better....it's really simple
I have never seen a player run, shoot, dribble, and move like Ronaldo does.
Is Messi / CR more consistent? Yes
Have they a longer record of brilliance? Sure
Have they achieved the stats to break all-time records? You bet!
But has either ever played the way a prime Ronaldo has at his best? No
And to accurately answer the question above you have to have seen him play.
He was SCARY good.
The GOAT discussion is rather irrelevant to me. Every era has a player or two that dominate. If you didn't SEE them then you should stfu about them. I can only watch Pele/Di Stefano/Puskas videos ...and even then I wouldn't be doing justice to their legacy.
It is also fair to say who you think is the greatest, based on what you have seen. But to proclaim someone as GOAT as arrogantly as some are doing while clearly being ignorant of their predecessors is utter stupidity.
The same goes for CR7 vs a prime Dinho or Kaka. Sure CR7 has godly figures to his name...but if you haven't seen the real Dinho or Kaka (and I think a prime Dinho was better than a prime Kaka, even though I don't really like Dinho) then you need to STFU about who was better.
prime dinho had like 2 years of absolute peak form. Even barca fans would agree with that statement. kaka was atleast in his godlike form for 4 years. Although ronaldinho played for a much weaker side when they played against us in 04 where barca prevailed cause of sheva's disallowed goal. Prime cr7 had a longer lasting peak prime form, so u should stfu and accept the fact that cristiano is better than bucktooth. Consistency matters, i dont give a damn about how good a player was for a short period. There needs to be consistency in providing top class performances over a set period of time, preferably 5 plus years. Dinho deosnt match this criteria, hence why i rate cr7 above him. I would rather have a player who provides consistent world class performances over a long time frame instead of a player who gives maybe 2 years max worth of godlike performances.
"For me, Ronaldo is the greatest. He was as [good as] Pele. There was nobody like him. No one has influenced both football and the players who emerged as Ronaldo."
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC
"Ronaldo is the hardest attacker I've ever had to face. He was impossible to stop."
ALESSANDRO NESTA
"Without hesitation, Ronaldo is the best player I ever played with. He had such an ease with the ball. He is number one. Every day I trained with him, I saw something different, something new, something beautiful. That's what makes the difference between a very good player, and the exception."
ZINEDINE ZIDANE
"He was the fastest thing I've ever seen running with the ball. Had he managed to stay free of injury, he had every chance of becoming the best footballer ever."
SIR BOBBY ROBSON
"I play in Italy and everyone I've ever talked to there said that Ronaldo was the best player that ever played in Italy. For me he was the most complete player ever."
MIROSLAV KLOSE
"He was one of the best players I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone with better movement. I would have liked to have played with him because he could have scored 2000 goals. I'd have given him the ball every time."
ZICO
"ronaldo was my hero. He was the best striker I had ever seen"
Messi
"I trained Ronaldo. The real Ronaldo is the Brazilian Ronaldo"
I for sure consider players like Messi , CR7 & Xavi are on the same level of CR9 , Zidane ,Maradona & co.
Its acceptable to say one is slightly better or worse among those greats.
But to say Messi is way better than CR9 is for sure WRONG.
And to say Henry or Sheva are better than CR9 is a crime.
Dinho on his prime maybe belong there but Kaka shouldnt be mentioned for sure.
its funny to me that he never won scudetto or champions league
also, how many euro goals does he have?
shevchenko > ronaldo
Henry one epl. Zero cl.
Objections!!!
Leave Maradona alone. He does not belong anywhere with anyone.
I know about CR7 but who is CR9?
Why should not Kaka be mentioned? Many here will consider prime Kaka to be better than prime CR7 and more effective than prime Messi in big matches.
