I do not think we will follow Liverpool's model completely. Salah is asking for a similar amount of money as KDB. We pay Ibra top end money, and we offered top money for Donna and Kessie.

Salah isn't Gnabry asking for an absurd amount relative to his performances.

With superstars, which this article pretends aren't important, if Klopp is one extreme and Carlo the other, our approach would be in the middle.

Will we be held to ransom by any player? No. But will we try to underpay players? No.

I prefer our approach to Liverpool's.

If there's only one International break, and that's what i'm understanding, then this is how many games there likely will be before the world cup break. You can only fit in 14 Serie A games and even then we'll basically be playing 2 games a week non stop until the World Cup. Since we also won't be halfway into the season by the time the tournament ends, it will probably be the same after especially if we make it deep into the CL.

It's going to be a very, very busy season. We need as much depth as we can afford. Absolutely no fodders.
