I miss being owned by Elliott. They behaved not much unlike Gerry but at least they were a supremely powerful, effective and maybe even dangerous organization.

Gerry is a huge disappointment thus far, I hope we get some sort of involvement from him in February. Complete no-show during the current turmoil is not leadership.

It's the perfect storm right now. Cheap and unambitious ownership, incompetent management, dumb coach & uninspired players.

Why do they always wait until the last day to decide to do these moves?

We should have stopped him training with the first team after the summer moves collapsed!!!

For all the good Elliott did, they sold us to a broke ass that can’t even afford $1.2B out of his own pocket :(

You think the management should have spent the 500k budget better? Or what?

Have I been a great Gerry apologist?

Always been an unknown entity for me. So far he has wasted the chance this window offered to make his ambitions heard, but as always I'm keeping two sets of books. There's always the summer and I want to see this squad finish the season anyway.

They spent around 35M on CDK, around 7-8M on Thiaw, around 5M on Messias. Brought in Origi on like a 4M yearly wage, redeemed Florenzi for like 3M. That's a lot more than 500K. And none of those players have barely played this season.

They either don't play much because they bought them without Pioli approving, some have been hurt constantly or they got it all wrong. Pioli turned a scudetto team to crap, but Maldini and Massara have their blame as well for how they managed the summer transfer window.

Nah the joke was meant to call out those who couldn't wait for Elliott leaving the scene (not you) and now we have this classic "careful for what you wish" situation ;)

Based on the last few seasons we as fans have been given reason to be patient with talent, like CDK and Thiaw.

Could Red Bird be struggling with the higher interest rate now?

I'm not a financial expert at all, but this much I think to know: It wasn't Elliott to put own money in Milan and it isn't Redbird now neither. The club runs on its own money. Otherwise we'd be talking about the club increasing equity (never a good sign because the only times I've seen clubs doing this was to provide liquidity to keep the lights on, not to finance a mercato, correct me if I'm wrong) or some dubious fake sponsorship deals like selling the naming rights for Milanello for 150M per year or so.

The personal wealth of Singer then or Gerry now doesn't matter. It was and will never be their own money they are going to put into the club, not even when they bought it.

Vitiello: Milan closes the January session only with the purchase of the Colombian #Vasquez . Winter window never really opened for the Rossoneri, who instead could have improved the team at least with a more reliable goalkeeper. All postponed to summer

Well I would say that most of the people you are characterising were also against Gerry and said he wasn't rich enough.

They wanted a much wealthier owner ie State ownership or Oligarch

Marcel Sabitzer to Manure on loan... Woulda be nice???!!!

I'm not surprised but I am pissed, more so at the deafening silence from our glorious leader...

I get the lack of faith potentially in management from our American overlords but leaving things till the summer could be catastrophic!!!

For the remainder I'll support the players(most of them) 100%, I'll hope Pioli sorts things out, and I'll try chill.

It is what it is, Forza Milan 🙏💪✌️

Are Elliott not still shareholders? They wouldn’t retain a stake if they weren’t still interested in influencing the club. Elliott are about as far removed from passive investors that you get.

I thought spending half a billion euros in one season equals instant title win? Isn't that what happens when you 'win' the mercato?

We had our chance to improve (look at arsenal..they are first and they were planning on getting mudryk on top of that) and build on momentum and get ziyech on the cheap pre WC

He was willing to play with players like gabbia and calabria...krunic and messias

Now he will play with hakimi messi mbappe neymar veratti etc etc etc etc etc etc

MGMT SLEEPING..and our italian players are so shit

Other teams have the some decent ones. Florenzi is one of those decent ones but injuries :fp:
