Example of flawed thinking. Players might be cheap/free but their squad cost is 211m compared to our 128m, based on CalcioFinanza numbers. That's a huge difference. Their squad costs 83m more per year than ours.

I didn't do this chart but I think it shows the CF numbers for 22/23. We dropped our squad costs by 22m this season after dropping massively every year since 2019. Napoli the only team that increased relative to 21/22. Inter also had a big reduction, but their wage bill is insane. Also look at Napoli's amortized transfer cost. It's almost 3 times larger than ours, even if their wage bill is under control. They have a good model, they'll sell for huge capital gain this summer, but they probably can't keep a winning squad if they don't push up that wage bill to keep the best players. There's a reason why Kim, Kvara and Osimhen will probably all leave.
Juve are seriously fucked, in more ways than one.
And they still have 30M obligation to pay for each Loca and Kean this summer. I wonder if this comes with a big salary bump for them

Plus Zakaria, Arthur and (maybe) Mckenie back with combined ~10M net salary
They need a big clense. Only good news for them is that a lot of their overpaid players have contracts running out now or next year. Pogba and Vlah deals is where they are fucked the most.
