He’s not a traditional DM, but those stats are also a bit deceiving. Players in possession dominant teams will always have fewer defensive stats overall. But Kessie to me never was a DM in the way most people think.
They are less in the mess, because we bought 2 players they did not want to have.If we don’t sell before we buy more we’ll become a bloated mess like Chelsea with 32 players
Straight in the group stage. We don't need to do any qualifying for the cl right?
Every season we predict that Inter will suck, are done, etc. But in the last four years they made the CL every time including reaching the final, won a scudetto, a second place, and two consecutive Coppa Italia. That's after being forced to sell some of their best players but they seem to find good replacements. I know about the financial situation they're in but it doesn't seem to effect them on the pitch because they continue to do well.Inter signed samrdzic as well.
We beat napoli when oshimen dint play. When oshimen played it was a draw in ucl.
Seems to be a logical fallacy on your part here.
Napoli lost to us sure in the league but they won the league lel.
Inter smashed us and finished above us.
Rube technically finished ahead of us but they cheated so they don't belong in this convo anyway.
Sure we beat napoli in ucl but unless we won the ucl last season, we wouldn't have made it to next season's ucl without finishing amongst top 4 In the league.
Key here is inter beating us and finishing ahead of us.
Why? You’ll pay much more for similar talent even if the transfer fee is the same. Foreign players get taxed around 28% while for local talent it’s around 85%. It’s a huge difference. We’re abusing the growth decree. Part of the reason why Inter and Juve’s wages are so much higher than ours is because most of their players are not on the growth decree. There is generally an Italian tax buying from within Serie A. Look at Fratessi compared to Reijnders.
Buying the best talents in Serie A needs to become part of Milan’s long-term goals. It hasn’t been possible on a strict budget, but when our revenues hit 500M we should be able to.
I still think that he is a below average or average coach at best.We had a 3 game streak at the start of the year where our goal difference was 2-12, we lost 5-2 to fucking Sassuolo. Are you telling me that he had a worse team then Lazio? He benched Thiaw for almost half a year and started him only when we had injury issues, kept playing Diaz as a AMF when everyone saw that he had the best performances as a rw, refused to try CDK as a rw and was starting Messias and Salad.I voted that i think that the next season will be worst then this just becouse he stayed and i know he wont do shit in the CL, cos there is no way we do worse in the league where we realistically finished 5th.People criticising Pioli make me laugh.
What more do they want from a manager who has been given scraps to work with. He's barely had a starting XI.
Giroud and Ibra leading our attack at their ages lol.
Even if he didn't win the scudetto I would still be backing Padre as he got us 3 straight UCL finishes.
Pioli is the best thing to have happened to Milan since Sacchi![]()
Frattesi is not a DM, argueably more attacking than Musah, but defenitely not more defensive oriented.Tbf he is 20 and can be coached but I agree I have serious concerns.
Now we will probably outscore teams I guess but without a proper DM it will be hard to stop conceding as well.
How hard is this for the management to understand.
Man city have rodri
Real used to have casameiro. Now touchamani
Bloody inter have fratessi. Had brozovic who was world class
Tona was just that, a box to box.if we’re really not signing a DM, I think we’re in serious trouble. I feel like we’ve signed runners in the midfield without real technical ability, none can control the tempo outside Bennacer who’s out until December.
I like our business but without a true Tonali replacement, we’re in trouble. Don’t tell me the replacement is Reijnders because he plays and moves more like Bennacer. Musah and RLC are massive gambles. The midfield balance is completely off, I understand we can’t fix every hole in the team right away but if we’re serious about winning silverware. We need more.
AC Milan needs desperately a new logo.
The badge we have now is meaningless.
Who or what is our symbol? The stripes? The cross?
Look at the Ferrari logo

We all know the main color is the red but they didn't put it in the badge.
It would be nice if Milan have something maybe white with a cool devil in it.
Thats not the point. He made be knocked out 4th in 2021 CL group stage. If we go deep in another CL run next season, then he’ll win me over
Unless we think RLC can convert to DM?tOur defense line is not great as was Scudetto time. Hjulmand kind player we would have easier life for our Wingers and Theo go forward. They would be somebody who look their backs.
No Good DMC I think it will be no Scudetto.
Their midfield is the reason why they are a force to be reckoned with and they are mentally tough.Every season we predict that Inter will suck, are done, etc. But in the last four years they made the CL every time including reaching the final, won a scudetto, a second place, and two consecutive Coppa Italia. That's after being forced to sell some of their best players but they seem to find good replacements. I don't want to be their defender but the predictions of doom and gloom are way too premature and they're still a side to be reckoned with. And despite their financial woes they are still able to pay a 6.5 million salary to Thuram, (I agree not worth it), spend some 35 million total for Frattesi if you include loan fees, and 21 for Samardzic. They have a good core of Lautaro, Bastoni, Barella, Hakan, Frattesi, Di Marco, Dumfries,, Thuram, Sama, Mhkitikaryan, so let's not dismiss their chances.
Immediately thought of @brk when watching this.
This is the guy’s first game. At 1:30 Florenzi calls Reijnders to give him the ball. Gets it gives it to Theo who returns it right back to him. He’s already shown to their eyes and minds, their conscious and subconscious minds, that he can produce when they give him the ball.
He’s already a + to them. Earning their trust from the get go…and more with every successful action he does when he gets the ball.
It’s a natural process.
Like anybody else, CDK has to earn that. So saying his teammates don’t look for him is factually true but he hasn’t earned being looked for… if anything, he’s given them more reasons to not look for him.
They were looking for him more at the beginning, with time and no real product from his actions with the ball, the passes to him naturally decreased…not to mention, his positioning, body language and other cues aren’t really screaming “give me the ball”
I forgot they lost brozovic. I agree fratessi is more on the attacking side. I am not sure but their midfield just seems more functional than ours.Frattesi is not a DM, argueably more attacking than Musah, but defenitely not more defensive oriented.
Inter’s Hakan-Barella-Frattesi is a pretty DM-less lineup as well.
He would be great for 4-2-3-1, but he can't play DM in 3-man midfield and we already have too many mezzalasHopefully we can somehow hijack Kessie
Thats not the point.
Whoever think the CL is the priority should be behind Pioli after reaching the semi.
It has been an up trend with him regarding the CL.
Inzaghi will make it look more balanced regardless of individual players' characteristicsI forgot they lost brozovic. I agree fratessi is more on the attacking side. I am not sure but their midfield just seems more functional than ours.
Pioli vs InzaghiI forgot they lost brozovic. I agree fratessi is more on the attacking side. I am not sure but their midfield just seems more functional than ours.
Would you rather keep him or have a 25mil brand new Moncada pick ?The case for getting rid of CDK is strong but it would sting to see him blow up at Atalanta, which I suspect he would.
