If you think about them having the third highest wage bill in the league and having players like Lukaku and Dybala it looks bad but the rot at Roma is extreme. To me Mourinho wasn't the problem even with his horrid football. It's tough to unify a team of mercenaries with fitness issues.. There's a constant cloud of fear over Roma. Severe debt issues, management issues. It's a sinking ship. Roma has to start over like we did investing in youth with the odd star and be patient. What they did in these last few windows was asking for trouble. Mourinho tried his usual diversionary tactics to deflect from all this madness but he could only do so much. I'll miss him because he's box office and a character this league needs..
some valid points there, i did like that he brought attention to the league but that was also the thing; there was a lot of focus and positivity in the way roma was viewed when in reality they were below average and underperforming in his 2.5 years there but the to see the bigger picture you do need to consider variables

You will love the analysis of Adli's game from match analyst Luca Diddi (I hope the Subtitles work) :

Redondo's son is actually a highly touted dm hahah we should check it out.

Don’t take this personal, but I guess you never really watched Buongiorno. There is always a doubt he will settle in the big club but based on the stats he is among world class best defenders. I don’t understand how you can compare him with Gabbia.

I will just add this.. who scored team of the season all leagues
No worries. I'm not.

I already said I haven't seen a lot of Buongiorno. So I'll defer to those that have. About the Gabbia comparison. My only comment is that we tend to overrate those that play elsewhere and really look down on those that are here. It's normal. Because we see every single minute of the performances for Milan. But we watch Torino a few times a season. Naturally, we're able to zone in on every bad aspect for our players. We can't really do that for those that don't play for us. And I highly doubt there are people here that watch Torino games for fun.
So how many times have people seen Buongiorno play this season? Once, twice, three times maybe? Hell, we've seen that much if Gabbia in 10 days.

Anyway, let's see what happens with him. One last thing though, I wouldn't use "whoscored" ratings to prove a point on a player being good or not. There's been multiple conversations here throughout the last few years about how shit whoscored match ratings can be at times. Just take a look at their ratings for some recent Milan games. You'll find many people here that actually watched every second of those games largely disagree with whatever algorithm they use to come up with those ratings.

I'll repeat again. I'm not against Buongiorno. I'm actually against signing anyone at the moment, with Pioli halfway gone. I also don't see Buongiorno displacing Tomori or Thiaw. So if we wanna pay 20m for a 3rd choice CB in January, knowing also our current coach will likely be gone in 5 months....then ok. I just don't think it's necessary, and I think we can get to a top 3 finish with what we have. And yes, that includes Gabbia.

if we want Redondo we need to be the team that bring him out of Argentina. Otherwise I doubt we can afford his resell price unless he flops

Not a fan of taremi. He'd be 33, and he's having a bad season. He won't have an impact like lukaku did.

It would be nice if we signed some established players though. I'm getting sick of young prospects and random players from French farm league

Fair enough but with Buongiorno you are getting 3rd high class CB (I have my doubts on Kalulu). This gives you an opportunity to switch to 3 in the back and I am sure that Conte is approving this signing. I will never say no to world class potentials. I am against signing medicre players who will just take a spot and will become a liability (Messias, Romero, Gabbia, ..:)

Out for a walk.
Buongiorno is immense. He has some meathead moments, but overall he's been exceptional for Torino. And if I'm being frank, recalling Gabbia was unnecessary with Theo playing so well at CB, Jimenez being a mini revelation on the left, and now bringing in Buongiorno? I guess cover is nice, but we're going to have way too many defenders here, even for a back 3, once everyone's back fit. Chopping and cutting will be in order this summer.

:giroud:
It’s a lot more damning if you compare him to Jovic.

3g1a in half of the minutes. Was happy to be our backup and didn’t try to fuck us last minute even though he knew we were getting a deal on him :proud:

Fuck Taremi and his squeaky voice

I'd like to shop at the Chelsea supermarket again, I still think Broja has a big upwards development curve.
