Buddy, re-read what I said.
You think Buongiorno would've cost much a year or two ago? Less than 10 mil - 100%. So why are we not buying a few players like this and loaning them out - with the hope they become good enough for us and if they don't - very likely worth more than what we've paid for them.

All the players I listed will be worth very little. Lets come back in a year or two and check their value, yeah?

You said it yourself, there is a premium value on Italians - so they don't even need to become that good to be worth much!?

If a D'Andrea, Volpato or Pafundi fail to be good enough for us but are at the level of a Simone Verdi lets say - then we still make a massive profit - probably 20 mil+

No, re-read what I said. I said Italian youngsters have premium price for mediocre value.

And yes, Buongiorno would have cost less a year or two ago. But you can see how successful and easy it is with the loans. The risk would have been enormous, we would have had to invest €10 million that we didn't actually have. Then he goes to Serie B and doesn't play before we send him to Turkey on loan with an option to buy. Just take a look at Daniel Maldini or Lollo Colombo.

Your approach is very, very, very naive.

It's a bit embarrassing that we've never bought a young italian, sent them out on loan, and either called them back because they were good enough to start or just sell for a decent fee.
Boungiorno could've been someone like that.

Another name is Fazzini - we should've bought him a year or two ago - even now - his value can still go up massively.
Missed out on trying to do with Calafiori over the summer.
Prati at Cagliari is another young midfielder.
Diego Coppola - feels like he's been around a while and only just turned 20 - Verona are probably going to get relegated - already selling their best player this market. Think he should be bought and loaned out to one of the relegation teams next year.
Volpato, D'Andrea and Pafundi are all attacking talents that are worth a punt on. I feel it's pretty likely they all reach the level of a Verdi at a minimum- who was sold to Napoli years ago for a pretty decent fee.
Isn’t this exactly what we’re doing with Colombo?

I agree in principle though, and I expect us to Hoover up a lot more young cheap Italians now that we don’t have the GD (Terraciano could become that if he isn’t good enough)

And again, people had to be injured for others like Adli to show their potential.
Pioli, the man who accidentally and unsuspectingly developed young players like Adli and Thiaw into potential first team starters
Then gets all the credit.

Buy Buongiorno from Torino for 20M+ Pobega and then sell Tomori to Bayern for 50M. This IS what i would call smart and good Bussines.

I don't even want to write this after he had a good performance, but Adli is so overrated it is unbelievable.

Good bussines? Maybe one of Tomori`s legs is 50M ATM. 35-40M comes only because he is English

Sickening.

The sad thing is, if Pobega wasn’t injured, Adli would still be riding pine.

Simic is the next player going through this treatment, obviously very talented but unlawfully neglected by Pioli

Pioli doesn’t do that bro

I’m willing to take a rest of season ban if we win all 3 games. Just bring me back for the first day of the mercato

“Parallels are being drawn with the treatment that Ibrahimovic got from Fabio Capello when the pair worked together.

Ibrahimovic explained in his book that Capello made him take 50 shots every day in front of goal for six to eight months until he became one of the best finishers in world football.”

He’s not going to have free time to rap after work if he does this tho

Colombo is home grown - we didn't buy. But yes, he'll eventually leave for a decent value against his name. But one compared to what Inter and Juve manage to do - is not good enough.

I'm talking about buying a few youngstars that are too good for Primavera and are already good enough for a top Serie B team. They will cost less than 5 mil, I bet.

Maybe, just maybe this is because young Italians are generally expensive and lousy.

The same level of talent costs half as much in France and the players often have better athleticism.

I mean, how many young Italians have kept their promises and made the breakthrough in recent years?

Mauri, Saponara, Zigoni, Comi, Beretta... they were all shit. Then you look outside the club and it doesn't get any better.

There's a reason why Florenzi is still with the squadra.

Tonali and Donnarumma are the only ones to really break through but both are 5 star recruits. Look at Frattesi, even he stumbles and was bloody expensive. Likewise Raspadori, Zaniolo, Scamacca. All have problems.
All true but Mauri was Argentinian

If Ibra does this and teaches Leao know how to shoot it will be his greatest career achievement

Yeah seems too much. MAYBE 20 + Colombo at most.

Buongiorno will have crazy resale value though. He is young international, a PL team will take him for atleast 50m

His usp is that he is left footed, otherwise surely best thing is to abuse growth degree.

I agree with you. Above all, a left footed CB is very rare. And if i take a look at his stats, he looks fine. 20 or 25mil. + Colombo is a good offer. Hes value can go up very fast.
And whos know? Perhaps he will become the new Nesta. hahaha Nr.13 is free :goat:
