We never need our striker to be the star.
We need him to be able to lead the line and support our real stars. Kaka, Boban, Savicevic, Gullit, all of them were the stars of the pitch when we just needed an effective strikers (Pippo, Massaro, Papin, Kluivert) up front. Morata is the effective striker playing for our star in Leao and Pulisic. He just needs to chip in with enough goals and assists to them and our midfielders to win us the matches.

Having a star Striker is nice and all, but Milan are aiming to be a chance-making team. They're suppose to make chances for everyone to score regardless of where they start on the pitch.

We owe that to the longevity of Maldini, Baresi and Costacurta, they played through 3 decades with Milan. Then we picked up excellent deals to compliment them, like Nesta when Nazio collapsed financially, Desailly when he was up and coming, Cafu when Roma deemed him too old, and Zambrotta when he wanted to come back to Italy from Barca. Oh and Thiago Silva when his stock was low.

We've never had the need to worry about the defense until late 2000s.

I was replying to what he said. After reading what he wrote he did not say anything you said. Some nonsense about not being a real Milan fan, what the fuck are we talking about here. I wud have np if signing Italians but the quality of Italian player are no high. I think they are going for players with certain characteristics. Sartori, an excellent SD former Atalanta, now at Bologna, is after Cambiaghi from Empoli who will not cost much, and there are others that I wouldn't mind as back-ups, even if it's just for show, to please Italians. Napoli picked up Buongiorno and Spinazzola, Atalanta is in negotiations for Zaniolo, (who I'm sure Gasperini will fix), so our rivals find a way to include a few Italians that if nothing else might work harder for the jersey.

We just hired a Dutch lady, Suzanne Bakker, for the women's team, an American guy friend of Ibra as DS of Milan Futuro, and of course a Portoguese guy for the A team.

I am happy with moratra. But I think brining in a moconda prospect on top is important. Zirkzee for 40 mill is fine but 60 mill is too much of a gable to pin your season on. Morata is garantee 10-20 goals plus all the extras he does. Bring in a young kid who can learn off of him in the early 20s who is at what zirkzee was at the start of last year and it is fine. Morata on his own is not enough. To put all your eggs into a zirkzee basket is a huge risk imo.
