Honest question, if you had to choose between selling Reijnders, Fofana and Pulisic for 120M€ or Leao and Theo for 120M€. Who’d you pick?

Me, I’d sell the latter 100/100 times.

What kills me is how we’ve gotten to the point where these are real discussions. Two years ago, if you told me that we’d be adding 3 players to the team that would perform at the level of Deers, Fofana and Pulisic, I’d have immediately thought we’d be winning scudetto. 100% agree, which is why I have no doubts about Theo. He's a workhorse, a 4-lunged steam train. He's perfect for a physical coach.

THIS is where I'm skeptical, because Leao isn't an inverted winger. He can't come inside from the wing and shoot to the far post, he excels at going outside.

Where I think Leao can become a killer for this system is as an outlet on the counter. Milan has had the best counter-attacking duo in the world for 5 years now. Theao. Go back and watch the Liverpool game from the Pioli era. Theo, Leao, Rebic, and Brahim tore through that Liverpool side at will.

One more thing: Conceicao isn’t coming alone. He’s brought his entire staff from Porto. Training sessions will be brutal – a test of endurance and character. The aim? I guess something got lost in translation here - how is Jovic not a poacher?

I think what he meant was that Jovic struggles without a supporting striker or someone playing close to him. That’s been one of the main criticisms of Jovic, hasn’t it? He’s scored some clutch goals as a sub, but whenever he starts as a lone striker – especially under Pioli – he tends to disappear.

As for Diddi, when he’s speaking with Pellegatti (who constantly interrupts him), he sometimes doesn’t get the chance to finish his thoughts or loses track of what he was trying to say. I just try to fill in the blanks when that happens.

I never understood why we didn’t go for him. He’s the perfect moneyball signing – scores a ton of goals, is still young and comes at a bargain price because of his contractual situation. This is exactly the kind of move we should be all over.
