Personal information:
Full name Luis Alberto Suárez Diaz
Date of birth January 24, 1987 (1987-01-24) (age 22)
Place of birth Salto, Uruguay
Height 1.81 m (5 ft 11+1⁄2 in)
Playing position Second striker / Striker / Winger

I've seen this guy playing for a few years in Holland now and his growth is fenomenal. Last year he was the MVP (Most valuable player) with 22 goals & 14 assists. This season Ajax made him their captain making him one of the youngest captains in club history.

He's played 20 caps for Urugay next to Diego Forlan and he scored 10 goals in those games.
This season he has played 4 games and scored 8 goals in them.

Luis Suarez at Ajax tonight:

FT Ajax Amsterdam [5 - 0] Slovan Bratislava
43' [1 - 0] L. Suarez
65' [2 - 0] L. Suarez
79' [3 - 0] L. Suarez
84' [4 - 0] L. Suarez
90' [5 - 0] M. Donald

His trademark his is 'fumbling dribble'. It looks like he is doing something but for real, he always gets past the defender! Doesn't matter how.

Curious?

Message from 2 weeks ago:
AC Milan have set their sights on Uruguayan attacking midfielder/winger Luis Suarez, who plays in Holland for Ajax. Latest rumours suggest the Italian club could soon bid 12 million Euros for him.

http://www.transfermarketweb.com/index.php?action=read&idsel=41312
Only problem is that his worth is estimated around 25 million and after his 8 goals in 4 games this season Ajax will only release him for the top price.

Btw, he and Huntelaar were Hollands most lethal partnership until Huntelaar made his move to Madrid. Please B&G, reunite these friends

He says he wants to stay this whole season at Ajax. And I believe him, just like I believed Shevchenko and Kaká.

Not gonna happen this summer!!!

He's a very good player, I've watched him against PSV - pure class. No chance of him signing for Milan, though. Maybe after the next season, but I doubt about it.

Looks pretty good. No chance of him signing for us this summer though...MAYBE in the winter.

I don't see Suárez leave Ajax in the winter... nor this summer. He keeps saying he wants to stay the whole season, he is captain since this season, so why should he leave (in the winter)?

Neh, he wants to win the competition this season
Mainly he has a guaranteed spot in Ajax' squad and he wants to be certain of his spot in the Uruguay squad as well.

I watched him a lot in the past and now also, and I dont think he is a player that Milan needs, sure he has a lot of qualities, but he also misses a lot of chances, some particular were more difficult to miss :head: ... He has potential, but he is still not on a level to play for us or in Calcio...but I wouldnt mind signing him now when we can get him far more cheaper more than maybe in two years when many big clubs will be interested in him... We could send him on loan in other Serie A teams until he adapts in Italy and upgrades his experience ...

IF we would sign him and loan him it, it only can be to Ajax, because Suárez wants to stay at least one season at Ajax. And you're saying he misses a lot of chances, I have to agree, last season def. but this season so far he seems to improve a lot in his finishing. Last season I was thinking: ''Why do they put Suárez as striker??'' But now... damn... he is a very good backup for Pato (and Dinho).

yeah,I was also thinking that he could be better as midfield player, given the fact his technical abilities and his abilities to miss chances....

He doesn't miss a lot of chances anymore, this season he is sharp as a knife and he finished almost everything. Also when he play as a lonely striker (like against psv last sunday, 2 goals imo) he drives al 4 of them crazy. Also makes a lot of space for other players

The longer you wait with this kinda players the more expensive they get. He's only 22 and already this good. Even in the uefa cup in games like vs Marseille he was really really good..

He is VERY expensive at this moment. I believe he will be cheaper in future (contract years...)

I'm afraid Milan cannot afford Suarez. Ajax (I am a season ticket holder) always gets the top transfer fee for their star players. Don't be suprised if Suarez leaves Ajax for 35 million euros.

Also, Suarez said his one and only dream is to play for Barcelona after his adventures with Ajax.

Oh, and YES, he scored a panenka style penalty against INTER once.

That's true. He said that, yes. So it's pretty obvious Ajax will keep Suárez for sure for this whole season IMO.

just like last yearw/ huntelaaR?

No, I got a really confident feeling about Suárez staying which I did not have with Huntelaar then. It really looks like Suárez really wants to stay. He understand he could risk a WC when he will be benched in Italy or Spain or...

Would be sweet to see him here, a nightmare if he heads to Merda and CBF if he goes to Lyon
