Correct me if im wrong but i think Lucas was the U20 captain as well and has great leadership skills.

Seen many of his Liverpool games this season and his distribution and breaking up of the oppositions play has been fantastic. Even the fans are with him now, i think its just the rest of the team thats off right now else they have a great midfield.

He almost made a summer move to Malaga, Juventus or Palermo, wonder what that would have been like. He was valued at 4 million pounds in the summer, i reckon thats bumped up now to about 8m.

A question posted mostly at Sven and Australiano

What do you think of jucilei v. lucas in terms of for milan? Both seem like they will be moving in summer on reasonable size fees.

Lucas really intrigues me cause he's so much better with NT and the style IMO is closer to serie A/continental football than epl.

And i think he's a better passer/more assured player than ambrosini in anchor role. Could be heir to it.....

But you all see more of him with gremio and Nt. Jucilei, ive really only seen in copa libertadores, and he's looked nice but i question if he gives us much more than boateng.

Yeah, today Lucas is a holding midfielder, and doing fine at this spot. Mano used him more as box-to-box player also in his early career, but I think his time at Liverpool conviced him he is a holding player now.

It beats me his game developed in a strange way. He was more mobile and way faster at Grêmio, he could run from one box to the other easily, he looked suited to English football and to a more offensive role. But now he bulked and somehow lost agility while increasing his tactical, physical and defensive game.

Jucilei is an all around midfielder, like Flamini and Boateng. Problably a better passer than Flamini. Very good player and will be cheap - Elias was sold to Atl. Madrid for 8 M, that will be his price too problably. But you're right, he doesn't bring too much to Milan right now. We have other needs.

Brazil U-20 4-2 Paraguayan U-20: Neymar Nets Four In Amazing Demolition Job
Brazil's youngsters had star striker Neymar to thank for a crushing 4-2 victory over their Paraguayan counterparts in the group stage of the South American U-20 championships in Colombia.

The junior Selecao, lining up in their familiar 4-2-3-1, ran riot over the Chaco outfit, overcoming a nervy start to dominate.

When Casemiro won a penalty in the 25th minute, Neymar was able to open his account from the penalty spot, and then doubled his personal tally seven minutes later after seizing on a deflected Lucas shot.

Ze Eduardo of Brazil was sent off just after the break, with Paraguay's Diego Viera pulling one back shortly afterwards. That Paraguayan recovery didn't last long, though, as Neymar got his hat-trick by taking advantage of some sloppy defending to score on the counter.

The fourth goal was also on the break and was the sweetest of the lot, Brazil breaking forward to allow Neymar to flick the most beautiful of chips over the helpless Mario Ovando in the Paraguay goal.

The underdogs pulled one back through Brian Montenegro right at the death, but it was too little too late as Neymar had already well and truly made the difference.

Yeah he was the captain of U20 and gremio. IMO he will be the captain of brazil in the WC2014.

He should leave Liverpool, will be better for his career.

For Sven,

Bordeaux's Fernando Cavenaghi Set For Internacional Switch - Report

After spending the entire season on loan at Real Mallorca, Fernando Cavenaghi, who is contracted to Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, has failed to impress in La Liga, with just two goals in 11 appearances so far, and he looks set to leave Europe altogether to sign for Internacional.

Vice-president of Internacional, Roberto Siegmann, believes that the only thing left is for the player to sign a contract.

"Everything is settled with the player and with Bordeaux, although he still hasn't signed a contract," he said.

The move will likely be a one year loan loan, with an option for Internacional to buy the player for €2.5 million.

Yeah, I think it's a good try. He is on a similar situation as D'Alessandro and Maxi López before coming to Porto Alegre, good potential but on a bad spell. Maybe he can find some form again here.

Anyway he can't be any worse than Alecsandro

Brazil confirms: Internacional on Bolatti Fiorentina

Are confirmed by the indiscretions gathered by itasportpress.it in South America. Days ago, we reported the news of the interest Internacional of Porto Alegre for the Fiorentina midfielder Mario Angel Bolatti; Radio Bandeirantes now stresses that the Brazilian club is really interested in securing the sporting performance of the player, considering as an alternative to the Uruguayan Nacional, Facundo Pires.

Wondering if this mean Guiñazú is leaving. Inter can use all those Argentinians in Libertadores, but can only register 3 non-brazilians and use 2 at the same match in Brasileirão...

BTW I think Inter, Fluminense and Santos have improved his squads fairly well for Libertadores - two or three players that were really needed.

Not impressed with Corinthians, altough they are already good (could use better central defenders though). Cruzeiro and Grêmio, are actually are worse than last year.

Mano Menezes Leaves Inter Defender Lucio And Real Madrid Midfielder Kaka Out Of Brazil Squad For France Friendly
Brazil coach Mano Menezes has announced his 23-man squad for the international friendly against France on February 9, 2011.

The Brazil gaffer has left out experienced players such as Inter defender Lucio, Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano and Flamengo attacker Ronaldinho, while Real Madrid playmaker Kaka wasn't included either.

Menezes has called up highly rated youngsters like Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro and Benfica defender David Luiz, while Lazio playmaker Hernanes and Porto attacker Hulk don't have too much international experience either.

Fiorentina goalie Neto, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Renato Augusto, Manchester United full-back Rafael and Bayern Munich defender Breno are all set to make their debut for Brazil's senior side.

Full Squad

Goalkeepers: Gomes (Tottenham), Julio Cesar (Inter), Neto (Fiorentina)

Defenders: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Andre Santos (Fenerbahce), Rafael (Manchester United), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Luisao (Benfica), David Luiz (Benfica), Thiago Silva (Milan), Breno (Bayern Munich)

Midfielders: Jadson (Shakhtar Donetsk), Lucas (Liverpool), Elias (Atletico Madrid), Ramires (Chelsea), Anderson (Manchester United), Hernanes (Lazio), Renato Augusto (Bayer Leverkusen), Sandro (Tottenham)

Forwards: Alexandre Pato (Milan), Andre (Dynamo Kiev), Hulk (Porto), Robinho (Milan)

I cant wait, will be interesting to see what the first XI from these players, any suggestions guys?

N ou shit, I want Jucilei, always wanted this kind of player in milan mids.
Why the hell some of you compare him to Flamini or Prince ?
He can distribute the ball, throw accurate long passes, not those two stuff if u ask me.

Corinthians is playing terrible.. trying only play for the left side with Roberto.. we didnt buy the replacement of Ronaldo.. things are not looking good.

The only good thing is that corinthians is talking to Alex from Spartak.. maybe he will play for us.
