What does "chalk on your boots mean?"

It's something that British people of Ferguson's age shout at wingers, when they want them to stay wide. For some reason they think touchlines are still done in chalk.

Barca had a much harder draw.

Arsenal, Shaktar (tricky team) and now Madrid.

United's only difficult opposition have been Chelsea, and even they have been really shit this season.

Admit man.

Arsenal were never, ever going to beat Barcelona. Up until the semi's we had a harder draw than Madrid. Marseille > Lyon, Chelsea > Spurs. You always seem to say something negative about United yet when confronted with evidence that squashes your claims, you don't (usually) reply.

We could beat Madrid or Barca. Just have to defend and hope that we have Rooney, Fletcher, Valencia and Ferdinand + Vidic fit. They'd be hugely important players. Obviously they would be the faviorites.

You still have had a piss easy draw.

Arsenal had a chance against Barca hence the agg scoreline. They are a much harder team to play than Marsaille or Schalke.

Chelsea have been your only tricky game.

Big game for Barca...

They have looked shit against them in the last two games. If Madrid win, they will park the bus again and will probs go through.

The only reason why Arsenal could have actually won that match was because Barcelona missed chance after chance. Arsenal were hammered all game, the score could have been 7-1 and it wouldn't have flattered Barcelona. Barca don't like playing teams that sit back, which is exactly what Marseille did in the 1st leg against us. Arsenal went out to out-play Barcelona and were dominated.

Our draw up until the semi's was harder than Madrids. Shakthar clearly wasn't a tough match for Barcelona because they won 6-1 overall and they didn't even play to their max.

I hear Jamie Redknapp has identified Schalke's problems tonight as stemming from the fact that they're "not good enough defensively."

Surely the man has enough money and Sky don't need to give him any more for the waffle he comes out with!

I love Valencia. Direct and sensible - not something you can say about many wingers these days. What's the Spanish for "chalk on your boots"?

Tiza en tus botines.

Never heard that phrase used in spanish though.

how any united fan can argue against the fact they got an easy draw this year in the CL, and generally always do seem to get easier draws in the champions league is beyond me.

either way-the cream always rises to the top as they say, and Barca will win the champions league 2011. Fact.

wtf does it matter if a team had a "easy draw" or not? United can't help that iMerda sucks balls and loses 3-7 to Schalke. In CL knock outs there are no easy draws IMO. Most finalists/semi-finalists have the same (if not the same but almost) difficulty level on their way...

Talking about easy draws is n00b talk.

Madrid had an easier run to the semi's than we did. Marseille > Lyon, Chelsea > Spurs.

il tell you what n00b talk is buddy-beating a shit shalke team 2-0 and havin to listen to martin keown and jamie rednapp go on about how man united are a super human team who go on about them as though they are gods of the game. il give ya a clue lads, they're not and will be found out by the next big club they play i.e barca or madrid. if united came up against barca, madrid, Milan, inter, arsenal, bayern etc and saw them off in the same manner as they did with shalke then fair enuf, the media should quite rightly have a wank fest over united. of course united can only beat whats put infront of them, my problem isnt with them, my problem is having to listen to the bullshit english media shite on about how united are God's gift to this earth

Translating football cliches and commentator-speak into other languages (badly) is one of my hobbies.

Fuck the English media, seriously... when I put on a stream I usually chose a Rumanian or Russian channel even though I don't understand a word they're saying just to not have to hear the English commentators.

But, I have to say that I'm very impressed by United this season. They're playing very disciplined, SAF-disciplined.

They don't have any big stars offensive wise bar Rooney and maybe Nani, but they've still managed to win the PL and reach the CL-final (yeah I think they'll do both). And when you think about the fact that Rooney's had a average/bad season it's even more impressing. Team performance at it's best.

The wankfest has been amazing. Did anbody really think Schalke stood a chance. I knew they would get shitted on.

In all honesty Schalke were the team everybody wanted in the next round.
They did beat Inter, but Inter are shite this season and have a manager who knows nothing about team balance.

United have had it easy this season with their CL draw. I think they will beat Madrid if Madrid beat Barca as they will use Nani and Valencia to knick a goal then park the bus. Barca however is a different proposition as they will hardly touch the ball except when they counter.

Well I'll admit that there was some smack talk, but that's more because of the Tottenshit fans pissing me off. I never said they were a bad team.

Tomorrow the next players will miss the match:

-Carvalho, Khedira.
-Iniesta, Abidal, Maxwell, Adriano, Bojan.

The weak points of Madrid will be the CB' s Ramos, Albiol/Garay.

And the weak point of Barca will be the left side of the defense, and the midfield creativity due to Iniesta' s absence.

Tomorrow' s game is not a decider, Mourinho will not take risks, he will look for the 0-0, 1-0, the 2nd leg in Camp Nou will decide everything.

I think it will be a tight and cagey affair. Both teams will be cautious, and wont want to lose the tie at the first leg.

Should be a good game, low scoring i expect.
