since its a one-off game we never know... on paper they are inferior to both the spanish sides

Yep if they were to score 1st then I can see them parking the bus, and with such a good defense, they will probs see it through.

I think Mardrid would be the easier team out of the two. The problem with Barca is that they won't touch the ball against Xavi, Biscuits and Iniesta. When they played them in 09, Barca had no defense and still won.

I can see them having a much easier time against Madrid who are not as good in procession.

I lost the list.
That shot of Ferguson laughing and talking with a German boy almost in tears behind him was pretty mean.

Hahaha tactics, or lack thereof in Inter's game. No defensive effort at all makes anyone look good. Farfan, Raul, Jurado etc against a static defense will destroy a team, but against an organised mobile defense with all of United's midfield tracking forward and back, they have no chance, add to that that there's no support to the forward men because they're so scared of conceding - oops.

Adler is pretty good as well, but hes injured quite often no?

Nah, he actually would have been Germany's No.1 GK at the WC last summer but had a bad injury and missed the tournament. Hes a good keep but Neuer is much better imo. Both will make the German NT roster though.

Giggs :proud:  Rooney, Chicharito

I'd take United's football over Barcelona's any day.

I love Valencia. Direct and sensible - not something you can say about many wingers these days. What's the Spanish for "chalk on your boots"?

True.

United have had a pissy easy draw though. They have missed both Madrid and Barca.

We had Valencia in the group stages, Marseille in the 2nd round, and Chelsea. We've had a great semi final draw but we haven't had a piss easy draw overall.

Barcelona had Shakhtar, Arsenal and an easy 1st group. Madrid had Lyon, who aren't as good as Marseille and Spurs, who aren't as good as Chelsea.

Ferdinand and Vidic the best Ferguson's ever had? Fuck off, Redknapp.

They probably are.

I loved how Fergie went out of his way to pat Neuer on the back. Hope we arse lick him and his agent every day until the Summer

Barca had a much harder draw.

Arsenal, Shaktar (tricky team) and now Madrid.

United's only difficult opposition have been Chelsea, and even they have been really shit this season.

Admit man.

Honestly, this is the Schalke one should expect to see... At the end of the day they are 10º in Bundesliga, and it's a modest core of players. This is really the distance between Schalke and Manchester (though on a head-to-head one can always hope for something different).

The Germans crushing Inter was really the shock there.

Let the wankfest begin...

Now they are favs to beat Barcelona or Madrid according to radio.

When Barca thrased Shaktar 6-1, who are better than Schalke, nobody said anything.

I'm not so sure Man Udt could take on Farca. Who will take the ball away from the midgets? I admit I don't watch them enough to tell if they can pull it off this year.
