so is gilardinho actually coming???

The last news about him came today , (channel4.com)

Parma’s Alberto Gilardino has rejected talk of a New Year move to Milan – the club he’ll face on Saturday.
The striker has been heavily associated with the Rossoneri but the player maintains that no switch is imminent.
"To be followed by such a prestigious club is obviously pleasing," he told ‘Studio Sport’ on Wednesday.
"But I would like to underline that I won’t be leaving Parma in January as I still have much to give this shirt.
"Anyway, I really don’t believe that the Italian champions have any need for a new striker after Christmas."
Gilardino has admitted that the Week 14 clash is set to be special, as he made his Serie A debut against Milan five years ago.
"That was an important moment in my career," added the Azzurri international. "It is always emotional for me to play against Milan.
"But I’m just hoping that we can collect some points against the Rossoneri as we really need them right now."
Parma are currently in the relegation zone after picking up just 12 points from 13 games so far.

(looks to me that he's tryin' to play cat & mouse game).

Gilardino doesnt want to come in the new year because he knows that Milan dont want him that early... i bet he is kissing Galliani's feet to come

anyways well w'll just wait and when Parma get relegated ;) ... the rest speaks for itself

Since Milan keep denying their interest, he should maybe just draw his consequences + move on.. to Juve.. or Roma.. He has my best wishes wherever he goes.

I think he wants to do something for Parma (avoiding relegation) before moving to Milan.. Remember Parma is the team that make him famous..

Juventus bought Zambrotta from Bari. The transfer price was around $17 mil. He was the direct replacement for Henry (a winger at that time), who was sold to Arsenal. Milan also bought a player from Bari, the same summer, D'Ascentis, who turned out to be mediocre.

Parma vs. AC Milan - match preview
2.12 || webmaster || $source

Source: Football Italia

A trip to the Stadio Tardini would have worried Milan in the past but they’ll be confident of winning in Week 14. Parma, with all of their financial problems, are no longer the force they were in the Italian game, while the champions are back on track after a difficult start to the new campaign.

The Rossoneri are now just four points behind leaders Juventus after a 1-0 win at Chievo last week. Boss Carlo Ancelotti fielded Massimo Ambrosini and Vikash Dhorasoo who both impressed which may see at least one of them retain their starting shirt. Hernan Crespo will definitely start against his former club after four goals in his last three games, probably alongside Andriy Shevchenko who returns from injury.
...
One Parma player who will be particularly looking to impress is star striker Alberto Gilardino. The Italian striker has been linked with a move to Milan, possibly in January, and he’ll be keen to impress his prospective new employers.

Hmm ... If Gilardino wants to impress, could he please wait another watch instead of this one against Milan!

ANCELOTTI: 'What a big deal to sign Gilardino'
12/6/2004

I dont want him to arrive in the January transfer window..........it will unsettle him and most probably the team. If he arrives at the end of the season he has time to get to know his team mates as friends and get accustomed to the Milan style and his team mates styles through the pre-season tours and training sessions - i think it will work better both ways....SO, i hope he arrives at the end of the season and not mid season.

Besides, JDT and Pippo will be fit along with Crespo and Sheva by February, no point having 5 strikers when Ancelotti sometimes doesnt even play 2.

As for Zambrotta, he is officially better than Roberto Carlos now, well in my books he is :D and as Melbourne said, best Left Back in the world.

-----------------Buffon---------------------
-Puyol-----Nesta--------Canna---Zambrotta-
----------------Emerson--------------------
------------Totti-------Henry---------------
------Sheva-----Ronaldo----Adriano---------

Now that is what i call, the best team in the world - IMO it cant be beaten :D....a few Juve players :( Oh well i gotta be honest.....maybe Roberto Carlos ahead of Zambrotta or Vieira ahead of Emerson or Campbell ahead of Canavarro or Dida ahead of Buffon :D.......

Nice, 4 strikers and one attackin mid/striker.
Even those great 4 in the defence wouldn't not help ya concede 2 or more goals every game. Tooooo muchhh CM I guess
