Well yeah, but unless you (not directed to you BMW, but to anyone) believed Grimi was awesome, specially after reading what the guys in his ex-team forum said (and what Argentina pappers said too), then you were delusional. Besides, we almost paid peanuts for him.

Pato will get much more playing time than Grimi, if he shows the same as Grimi that's a whole other deal, but I do rate him as much better than Grimi in overall footballer quality.

Wasn't Messi fielded as a 17 year old for Barcelona, at least once?
Eitherway the rule probably is that players under 17 that come from other place that is not the country of the league can't play till they are 18. Stupid (for 17 year-olds), TBH, specially for a guy that will be 18 just 2 days after the market closes.

The rule doesn't apply to players on the teams' youth squad, as is the case with Messi and Rooney...

From what I've seen and I'm sure most of you guys have seen alot more, Pato looks like he is a very good dribbler and has a keen head for goal. His shooting is pretty good, he can take a pretty good free kick. I'm exicted about this kid I cant wait to see him unveiled. Screw you Baptista, Eto and not to forget bitter rivals Inter

the rule applies to international transfers from outside EU into EU territory

exception: family of the player moves for reasons not related to football into the country of the new training club ( -> messi?)

within EU/EEA countries players between minimum working age and 18 are allowed to transfer if their new club guarantees training and academic education
