Seriously, Pato isn't leaving in this window. One reason: Ibra and Binho aren't enough in CL.

Why would it be just the two of them as strikers?

28 million Euros do me a favour you wouldnt even get his right foot for that amount.

+1, even if today's Gazzetta describes this transfer as necessary to make a better offer for Tevez and says that if Pato goes to PSG, in the CL list there will be Inzaghi and El Shaaravy

They are preparing for a summer move, and around 30 million is totally reasonable.
Well, when you look at Ibra`s price of 24m in three installments, Pato for 30m is just fine..;)

They paid 42 mils for Pastore who didn't win anything and didn't play CL. 50-60 mils for Pato and we can talk, anything lower is ridiculous.

:head: Why would we want to sell Pato to pay for Tevez? Shouldn't we instead buy a cheaper sub for Cassano and keep Pato?

I wonder if we don't get some insurance coverage for a sub for Cassano?

Inzaghi and El Shaaravy is not enough for CL, Pippo is hardly even training.

Also about the CL list, I think I read that we can change three players on the list before the next rounds. We have Yepes and Cassano who are out for the season and Flamini who won't be back for a while. Taiwo might be sold in january and if Pato is sold too that would mean five listed players are out and we can only sub three of them. We don't have a lot of primavera players to pick from either so we won't have any depth.

Who else do we have?
El Shaerewaarywe - still too young and unexperienced.
Pippo - yeah, ok, but not for 90 min.

Hardly with his history. And definitely not if rumours about the reasons for his heart problem are true.

I agree with you that Ibra, Binho, Inzaghi and El Shaaravy aren't enough for CL, but seems that Milan wants only Tevez (for example the agreement we had with Catania for Maxi Lopez wasn't respected). In my opinion Pato won't leave in this transfer window, maybe this summer (and not for only 28 million).

Btw, I don't think that Flamini was in the CL list

Then just forget Tevez.

If he will sign for Inter, Inter have; Pazzini - Tevez

And We have: Ibrahimovic - Robinho/Pato

And Juventus has: Matri - Vucinic/Borriello :star: :fp:

Hopefully we're lucky and he's gone in January. Tevez in, Pato sold can be what funds the final pieces to make a squad truly favored to challenge for ucl for next 3 years.

Yea

We sure would be lucky to have only two eligible strikers for the CL

Yep, Tevez is the way to go. 2-3 years from now (and this is just an optimistic look) we'll have to spend a shitload of money to buy strikers who can replace Tevez and Ibra because we decided Tevez > Pato...

exactly, its a joke.
In my opinion Pato is already as good a goal scorer as tevez, probably better.
Pato has years to improve and play football. While tevez is in his peak years, has a record similar to patos, and is less of a footballer and more of a workhorse who will probably retire from football in 1 year. Whos knows with tevez what to expect.

If we sell pato sure in the short term it might be okay, but to fund replacements, we will need to win massivaely in the CL and continue the scudetto wins. I dont like this transfer at all.

Why should we believe in PAto?

He's a premadonna, pretty boy more obsessed with tabloids.

Huge talent, he has the drive of a trust-fund baby though. Give me a less talented player with a huge chip on his shoulder any day of the week

I'm surprised you want Tevez. Seems a ridiculous signing to me.

Being english, i don't expect you to understand different cultures.

I'm 100% positive Tevez would be fine at milan.

you know we could sign another striker in a year or two?

There's no given pato will become what some here think...

Racist. :o

I'm sure you'll be fine with him, but he's so unnecessary and even as a striker he's not really what you need. It's a waste of money when you'll have Cassano coming back by the time Tevez is ready.

You're right, he might not become the super special player many of us think. But so what?

Pato as he is, is a proven goal scorer. He shines in big games, and has blistering pace and an eye for goal. Plus will be able to play for the next 7 years at a high level. Plus its not far fetched to think he will improve during this time.

So we have that, or, Tevez.
Tevez will probably only really hit top form for milan next season. With question marks over fitness, match sharpness and simply fitting into a new league and country/team mates this season its not exactly a strech to think this.

If this signing means losing pato, who is just as good a player. Then Its ridiculous

Just so you know, I am boycotting EPL until the worst travesty of a ban is over. I might boycott beyond it. I simply cannot stand it, such a social injustice. And any positive feelings i had towards mu are gone. Disgusting club.

He's not really unnecessary.

Milan play a system dependent on forward creativity. Because of it, Pato is worthless. Beyond that, i simply don;'t believe in him. Think he's a premadonna, spoiled brat more consumed with tabloid press.

Robinho/Ibra are all that's left.

Beyond that- Cassano may not come back. And I Highly doubt he does this year.

I'd take an AM type over Tevez, but none are available, so it's all about market opportunity.

I look at it differently.

I think if we believe these PSG fee's to be true, we are doing ourselves a disservice to not sell him

If you don't think he's special, why do you care? 40-50 mil can buy us 3 quality players if we do the right moves.

Once again, think about the variables that you wont be able to control when you plan for a horizon that's longer than 3 years or so.

"OOOH, Pato, Coentrao, M'Vila, Keisuke Honda and Hummels will give us a solid core till 2020!!" is like the dumbest outlook possible.

Grooming talent is important, but it is always secondary to short-medium term planning aimed at success and titles.

I think you can win the serie A this year without Tevez, the CL's not realistic and he's cup tied. To me it'd be better to wait it out until the summer where you can really spend on what you need.

I am one of the pato believers, I really think he is the way forward in our front line. Although Im all for the club improving over my individual preferences. 40-50 million is a good fee, a deserved fee. But I dont trust management to use that 40-50 million to buy new players. If pato goes, tevez will come. I dont see more arrivals happening.

And if PSG did offer that, and management knows that pato would be sold for the right amount, why havent we stated a fee, and begun to look at replacements. Our LB position is screaming for a new player, as is our midfield. But ive heard nothing and the window is closing.

Not to mention, any replacements who would be good, hamsk etc, would cost close to 30 million. Plus the 25 to purchase tevez, so we wouldnt have enough to strengthen with berlu spending anyway. So why sell pato?

True.
But that doesn't really mean we should only have 30 year olds in our team. You got to have a few talented youngsters in the squad.
