So how are we actually going to use him until Jan? If he cant play friendly games till September 3rd then he will miss them all? Surely he's not just going to train for 6 months?

Why not ? :)

If I'm not mistaking Kakà followed a special program to strenghten him up to keep up the Serie A maybe they will do the same with Pato ?

I would think he'd need to keep his match fitness up though some how. Can he play with the Primavera team?I presume not.

good buy for us at least if he doesn't start well hes got time on his side, oli was already 27,everybody says he had a bad u-20 world-cup which is a fair comment but he still scored 3 goals in 4 games, also i think he has scored 6 goals in 8 games for internacional in the brazilian league. 5 goals this season but he was on brazilian u-20 duty and one goal last season in the league on his debut.

Finaly!!!!! Milan signed a stricker, no, signed a player!!!! Won't be of much use this year i think but good enought for a 4th stricker. But in 2 years, will be a regular starter.

Milan don't often buy young talent, but when they do, there big. Kaka, then gourcuff and now pato.

We now have the next zidane and the next Ronaldo in our team!

One thing don't understand, they say he can play till he is 18... so why can't they just sign him, and play him in officiel games that are after september 3 (the date he turns 18) ????

First big signing this summer. Plus, Pato is young and promising star. Just what I want to see. I cant wait for January to see him in action.

So welcome Alexandre and all the best luck in Ac Milan shirt. :D

Perhaps I read it wrong or some shit though I'm certain they are going to rename it in honour of Facchetti.

I really have a good feeling about this kid......he says that Ronaldo and Kaka are his idols but IMHO he plays a little more like Sheva and Henry (starting attacks from wht wing) but whatever :D ....If he wants to be like Ronaldo he has to start scoring boatloads of goals and winning WOPY...it's been a while since a Milan player won that ...it was weah I think :conf:

What can I say.... Potential-wise, a pretty good signing. We can't do much better than signing arguably the brightest young South American talent in the world right now. But for the immediate future, it's hard to see him having even a significant role, but we obviously can't blame him for that.

He may go on to become a great player, but the fact that we failed to rectify our immediate problem - quality forwards - irks me.

apparently our coachin' team doesn't think he is up to scratch with his physical fitness... so durin' these 6 months of no competitive football for Pato... we are goin' to build him up... hopefully not quite the rate PSV forced fat boy's development... resultin' in his knees not able to really handle the extra weight gain...

Our management too much depends on Pato being this years Ronaldo...

We can't expect to have another season like last year, with poor first half-season then winning the CL in the next (notice I don't mention good or anything, so it's just above poor).

I am glad he joined milan! I want to see how he does with us. I will not expect him to be the next anyone but I expect him to contribute to the team and wish him the best. Now lets set our sights on signing Rossi within the next few years. That kid is as good as gold.

I am glad we have made a signing but we need to fix the NOW issues. All of our strikers are hurt so one more (Cassano) wouldnt hurt! I like the cicinho rumors of coming to italy also. I like the kid.

Rossi has gone to Villareal for the moment and has a clause that gives him the permission to go back to ManU, so i cant see it happening

in regards to Rossi, I believe there are way too many Italians outside of taly. 2 seasons ago, all of the Italian internationals and national team prospects and young italian used to play in italy. amazing how things change..

Oh yeah I agree with you! Ever since the scandal the internationals left. I can remember the days when all the internationals played in italy. Look if no one is willing to pick him for the money asked the italians should be ashamed. Someone should have picked him up but they didnt and he is looking to gain experience. To be honest I dont mind Villa at all and I hope he does well.

Great prospect for the future, I expect to really show his quality in his 2nd season once he's adjusted to Serie A and our style of play. Bringing him in right away is also a smart move in that he has time to adjust and train with the squad. Now we have two options or a combination of both:
a) Loan with buyout option on Baptista to make sure we have a more established player to count on when needed.
b)Hope that Aubameyang takes his chance and becomes a good player for us.
