I just saw The Grudge last night starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. Watch out your home's ceiling. She's watching you... :D

OMG i watched da grudge..it was pretty darn horrible because i could totally see da make-up + special effects etc

but still it scared da hell outa me..i paid my sister so that she would allow me to sleep on her couch! LOL just moved back to my own room last night  and i couldn't sleep because i kept looking at da ceiling plus i saw weird shadows and i'd like stand up and see that it was my shoe/sock/lamp etc LOL

those cat-like screams or whateva were AWFUL + really really scary..da moive + story wasn't scary just da lights and sound were what made this movie a horror movie

The last movie I watched at the cinema was Deja Vu with Denzel Washington... it was good movie, although not my style of movie...Denzel was great as usual

has anyone seen Children of Men by Alfonso Cuaron starring Clive Owen?
I really wanted to see it, but it was shown for long at my local movie theater...

You meant this movie I had watched is an American version ? The Japanese version entitled 'Ju-on', right ?
Well if it's with a blonde, then yes. :)

There are 4 "ju-on"s, 1 and 2 are really, really old movies. 3 and 4 are new, so they chose to call them "Ju-on: The Grudge", respectivelly "Ju-on: The Grudge 2" and are also the ones remade by hollywood as "The grudge" and "The grudge 2".

Also the stories are somewhat different as the Japanese ones are more complex and hard to understand. My favorite is Ju-on 4 (The Grudge 2) as it envolves some traveling in time/space. Love that shit.:)

P.S.: "The Machinist" is a great film.

Mmmhhmm..thanks for the info. But my curiousity just came up, are these 4 'Ju-on's considered to call it 'sequel' ? Any related stories from the 1st episode till 4th (entitled Ju-on 4/The Grudge 2) ? Who is the leading role to play in Japanese version ?

I heard The Grudge 2 (American version), just released, still starring Sarah Michelle Gellar if I'm not mistaken.

Concerning The Machinist, couldn't agree more with you it's a great film. I just love the powerful plot of the movie. Credits to Chris Bale for his performances though. Sometimes me think into flashback his latter Batman Begins, looks he is totally performed of given role in his filmography. What a characterized actor.

Fuck, can't vote. I haven't seen any James Bond movie. Not one! I think I didn't miss anything. Correct me if you think otherwise.
Well you just miss one symbol. I think you wouldn't be so fond of Bond because it's seems very unreal these days. And I remember you didn't like Mission Impossible. Ofcourse they are not comparablen in main characters/icons but roughly you can say that they fall into same category. The thing about Bond is his certain charisma that gives him the edge. Bond, James Bond is one of a kind. I think every movie-fan has seen all Bond movies so not seeing even one of them could cut you out in certain conversations. Though I would bet that you would rather not like it I advise you to see some of them. Start from the beginning.

I've only seen the new movies (3 and 4) and they are related, so the American sequel will be too. I don't know anything about the old Ju-Ons because I couldn't find them anywhere.
According to imdb.com Megumi Okina plays Rika, the leading role in the Japanese version, if I remember right.

I won't watch that. I was just too disapointed by the first American one.

I still don't get how he managed to get from skinny to pumped-up from August 2003 to March 2004. :conf: Note: The months I mentioned were when he started filming, not when the movies were released.

Well I didn't watch any Bond because I don't really like Pierce Brosnan. He's that type of guy that's good with the ladies but is not sympathized by other men.

But I'm curious about the movies with Sean Connery, an actor I like.
I can't wait to see him say: "Bond, Jamesh Bond".:)

By the way, I've seen a cool film by Tony Scott called Domino. It's with a girl mercenary played by none other then Keira Knightley. She's so fuckin' sexy in that part.

Fuck yeah! The movie itself was just average but Keira got me too. In the Pirates of Carribean even more. She made a good performance as it's not that clear who she will choose Depp or Bloomer's character. I'm sure Disney puts a new chic to the game on the third one but about Keira I was kind of suprised when I read she's more like a tomboy and a bit anti-social. Anyway I'd love to have a pint with her althpough she's a Hammers fan;)

West Ham United;)
Speaking of which I just saw Green Street Hooligans and that was pretty much pointless. It was like Football Factory without dialog and only sound effects at the brawls. And ofcourse the usual hollywood storyline-new environment, family difficulties, right thing to do, what did it all teach, cliche, cliche, cliche. I'll give it a 5.

Keira Knightley ain't too shabby in "The Jacket" either. :) It's coming up soon on HBO (in Romania), by the way.

I've seen Snatch again this morning. :star: A small Christmas present for myself. It's the only movie I've ever been to the cinema twice for and the movie that reignited my interest in movies. For the few of you who haven't seen this masterpiece, there's still time but you'd better hurry!

I've also seen Crank a few days ago with Jason Statham. Good idea, fine flick, could've been better though. All in all it is a movie worth seeing.

Oh, and Snakes On A Plane. I gather the over-the-top scenes were on purpose (well, given the stupid title, they most likely were)? If so, it was quite good, if not, average at best.

The film was OK, didn't really make sense though :D Take out the sound and special effect, you got nothing.

Ahhh...this one is a gem! The 'greedy as a pig' discussion reminds me of the 'quarter pounder with cheese' in Pulp Fiction. What hapenned to Guy Ritchie? After Lock Stock... and Snatch his output was disappointing.

Well, he made that movie "Revolver", which I didn't quite enjoy. I hope he comes back to his good old ways.

About "Snatch", I loved the bad guy, you know,
Spoiler:
the one who feeds people to pigs
. I love his style.

About the characters of Snatch they're all cool. Turkish gets my honour. Brick-Top was something too.

Yeah, Brick-Top was his name. I just LMAO when he said: "In the quiet words of the virgin Mary: -Come again?".

and, i've watched mona lisa smile, well that one is absolutely great, i really really liked it
and, a cartoon 'eight crazy nights', with adam sandler's voice, it's ok i suppose

I sincerely recommend you don't watch hostel unless you have a stomach of steel, or are slightly insane, it has to be the sickest, most gruesome film in the world, amazed it wasn't band..
KAKA' 22, You'll love the opening 25 minutes ;)
The actualy film is utter shit, and some of it is a little cheesy but still sickening all the same.

The thing I hate the most about Christmas is the tv-programme which is mainly fulled with Home Alone. And every phucking year.

Home Alone is good... specially the one where he accidentally arrives in New York City :D

I recently saw a gangster movie called Gangster #1 with Paul Bettany among the actors... it's about the rise and fall of a gangster who wanted to be #1...
it's good, it's good nice shots and Paul Bettany is great as usual

There was barely any gore in Hostel, don't need a stomach of steel or anything. But if you have an hour and half to waste for watching a dumb movie.. then Yes.. watch Hostel.
