He'll never come close to what Pirlo did during his time at Milan.

Never stops being so painful, to see him with Juve.
Of course he won't..But his present contribution is important and he brings a more balanced flaw in the game with his ability to pull the strings in attack and defence..

On behalf of myself and Milano, I'd just like to say a big "I told you so".

Dru needs to come back as he was captain of the anti-Pirlo brigade.

Fuck Pirlo, Lesbian look-alike.

Glad to see more people are starting to see that

The majority expected him to be successful. Class is permanent.

The minority is always more vocal, because it is upto them to prove that Pirlo sucks, because every sensible person knows that Pirlo is a heaven-sent gift to football.

Yet he is injured & whammmmmmmmmmmmm league title.
He is gone & vrooooooooooommmmm another title.
He was free & no one wanted him.
How many class proven player with no obvious problem were out of contract @ 31 & no big club step for them ? , NONE.
He was here we were boring , predictable & slow , he is gone & while with lesser sqaud we are fluid , fast & solid & Juve are boring as fuck.
There is a trend here.
Note this , outside italy , Juve will be massacred.

If they didnt invest greatly then they will get trashed by the first semi good team they face.

this attitude won't stay consistent nor will they have the same fire.

players are always fired up when they get a new coach etc, and they can afford to run like maniacs to make up for their shortcomings every game since they have no europe and no injuries.

besides, average players can't stay on form forever ;)

:fp: Pep tried to get him to come to Bartha, and there were numerous other clubs that went after him.

He decided he wanted to stay in Italy and has been Juve's best player this season and is a huge reason they are on our heels in the title hunt

It was dumb by our management to let him go

Just saw recorded Juve vs Inter that I had missed due to some travel. Pirlo was magnificent, really.

One moment in the match when he got rid of 3 Inter players simply by a body movement sideways and backwards. Absolute brilliance.

Players like Nesta and Pirlo have spoiled me with their intelligence. I am incapable of appreciating modern players beyond a point.

The majority expected him to be successful. Class is permanent.

The minority is always more vocal, because it is upto them to prove that Pirlo sucks, because every sensible person knows that Pirlo is a heaven-sent gift to football.

I remember SAF not letting Heinze go to Liverpool, who would be still shit there, so that was a stupid move by us.

Of course we couldn't stop him from going there, and keeping someone just to prevent him from going to competition is too rich for Milan.

?

He's doing well in a team competing for Coppa Italia and playing 2nd fiddle to us in the league. Juve was a step down. So technically he's had to go down a level, I don't see how he comes out as a winner.

Milan are doing much better without him. I say it was a great move.

Milan didn't want to offer him a fat wage on a 3year contract, jube did and he proved that he has no loyalty towards Milan.

my issue with galliani is how he didn't sell his old useless ass after being average for so many years back in 2010 when chelsea wanted him. :fp:

not that much further down, they are 2 points behind us, were better than us head to head (with the exception for the game with the no-goal)

and we are not doing "much better without him" replace Aquilani with him and we more than likely have the league completely locked up between what he would add to our squad and what Juve would be like without him

Juve had Aquilani instead of him last season and how did that work out for them?

spartan are you thick? or just extremely biased?

pirlo has been average/poor for years, contributed FUCK ALL last season apart from 3-4 games and is playing for a team that is full of runners and who also have no injury issues or european fixtures.

they're still second despite the FIGC trying to screw Milan out of a title who also had to deal with the worst injury crises in decades as well.

pirlo DOES NOT FIT MILAN'S TACTICS and didn't deserve staying in Milan after his average years, deal with it your butt hurt fan boy!

I cant believe people count the scudetto as already won, first wild , then you. :conf: 2 points is not much and they have a better head to head record over us.

the years where he was not great for us (and he was still good) we had a very old and very static team. during that same time he played well for Italy since he had runners around him.

This Milan team finally has runners, Pirlo would excel with Nocerino, Prince, Binho, Abate, etc. That is far more running than he had in Milan for years, and he would be thriving with them as outlets.

How does he not fit our tactics? If we kept Seeodrf and he can fit into our tactics, then so can Pirlo, who is a much better passer and is more movile these days.

He doesnt fit at anchor in Al's scheme but he doesnt have to play there, there is no reason that he cant co-exist with Bommel at anchor and Pirlo at the side

:fp::fp::fp::fp::fp::fp::fp: pls GTFO

allegri wants people to work in his midfield and defend on their own, the fairy needs a body guard left and right and is hardly dynamic to do anything else than pass.

btw, you do know that he would have stayed if he agreed on a 1 year contract? the fact that Milan negotiated with him meant that they actually wanted to keep him but on specific terms.

so instead of saying "Milan let him go" the truth is that he wanted a fat lengthy contract which he did not deserve and did not get it, and ended up joining jube.

use your head.

from an ESPN article earlier this season-
"Twenty years ago, many clubs had guys with my characteristics," Guardiola said. There was just one man he pinpointed as the exception. "Today, the only one I see is at Milan, with Andrea Pirlo."
Pirlo, meanwhile, was linked with Barcelona this past summer, but ultimately it simply had too many central midfielders to justify bringing in one more. His move from Milan meant he didn't get the chance to face Guardiola's Barcelona side in the Champions League in September.

"Pirlo is no longer there, and AC Milan has lost a fantastic player," Guardiola said.

from the Daily Mail-
Ancelotti and Mancini set for Pirlo transfer tussle when midfielder quits AC Milan

Andrea Pirlo could spark an Italian tug of war as Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti battle for his signature.

Pirlo is set to leave AC Milan on a free transfer in the summer after the Serie A leaders asked the veteran midfielder to take a pay cut.

Former Milan manager Ancelotti failed to land Pirlo last year but will try again for a player he knows well if he is still in charge at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of the season.

so that is at least Barca, Man City, and Chelsea.

I still don't think he has been tested enough to earn all that praise. Juve haven't even faced any strong opponents. We have yet to even see them in Europe. I still remember the 4-0 vs United and how fucking Park Ji Sung man marked him out of the entire game. :max:

Plus some people tend to not understand the importance of using an anchor who could defend. Personally, I'm loving the way van Bommel bosses the midfield. I wish we had him since 2008. He's a great passer as well, just less flash.

How does he not fit our tactics? If we kept Seeodrf and he can fit into our tactics, then so can Pirlo, who is a much better passer and is more movile these days.

There is. The fact that Pirlo needs to play in his comfort zone in front of the defense. And before you say it, he played as a mezzala for ONE game vs Roma and got injured like 30 mins into the game. For some reason people use that as a proof that he could pull it off. :D

as cover? to avoid spending?

he also demanded a first team spot which allegri couldn't promise, same talk went with seedorf.

it's a fact that they did negotiate with him and he rejected their contract, so look at the facts before you start whining.

flamini has been on a fat contract because he came for free and had an amazing year at arsenal, now he's most probably going to leave on a free.

giving pirlo a fat wage and a 3 year contract while he was 32 would be idiotic, esp. since he didn't deserve it one bit, I guess only pirlo deluded fan boys are oblivious to reason.

It was not wrong to replace pirlo with van bommel who has done an impeccable job at anchor . But we failed to recognize that by losing pirlo we have lost a great passer of the ball and we didn't fill that void. The midfielders bar van bommel are just plain average. They are too afraid/incapable of holding on to the ball or make some sort of attacking play . This is why we have games like yesterday when we don't look like scoring at all.
