pirlo has definitely showed his ass of this season..but, as i have seen just about all of juve's matches, due to my brother being a juve supporter, alot of the credit goes to players like Vidal and Marchisio, whom are his legs for the full 90 mins...

vidal is their best midfielder, no contest.

he's a complete midfielder that's being wasted as a bull dog due to pirlo's weaknesses, get them a proper anchor and give vidal/marchisio more freedom and they would play better.

Do you honestly think Juventus would play better with an anchor instead of Pirlo?

I'm not saying Pirlo is singlehandedly winning them the title, but I disagree with that.

why not? vidal is a technically gifted player, marchisio is a competent passer, passing to the wings isn't so hard.

an anchor with competent passing like inler can set their tempo as well.

JUVENTUS 1 (Marchisio
LECCE 1 (Bertolacci 85)

Pirlo was given time and space to measure a cross and Marchisio headed into the bottom corner. After Cuadrado was somewhat harshly sent off for running into Caceres, who helped greatly with the acting he picked up in Spain, this should have been done and dusted, well it should have been done and dusted in the first half. Barzagli played a back pass to Buffon but his first touch was very heavy, Bertolacci pounced, tackled him and tapped into an empty net. At the end of the season we'll find out if that mistake costs Juventus the scudetto.

One thing very noticeable from watching Pirlo this season is while at Milan he was largely sat in front of the defence at Juve he plays in the final third with Vidal and/or Marchisio for protection. That's not the only reason he's having his best season in years, he really is one lazy bastard and hadn't put in this much effort at Milan since the early past of LAST decade. Traitor scumbag.

Attendance : 38,978
Red Card : Cuadrado 54 (Lecce)
Assists : Pirlo, n/a

your biggest fan pirlo

Something makes me think Galliani will regret letting Pirlo leave for nothing...

Gift Flamini, keep Pirlo, save money, win Scudetto.

Not fucking difficult.

Or better yet:

Don't buy Mexes, keep Pirlo, save money, win Scudetto.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

I think this one makes most sense.

Whatever people think about Pirlo, they have to accept that he has been instrumental in Juve winning the scudetto, and what have Milan lacked all season? Creativity.

Sorry, Galliani, but you got this one wrong.

Man , posts like that draw a smile needed in sad days.
I guess a midfield or Pirlo-Noce-Muntari will dominate the world & a midfield of Marchiso-Vidal-creative midfielder or Guarin-Sneijder-Cambiasso wont stand a chance.

That wasn't my point. My point was that by releasing him on a free, we basically gifted Juventus a solution to their problem of a creative midfielder. Despite what you may think, Pirlo is among the very best in the world in his position, and without spending big, they'd have trouble filling in his role - which is necessary for their system of play.

Basically, I'm saying that I'd rather pay him to sit on our bench than see him win a fucking Scudetto with Juventus.

Also, there's no doubt that we could have used him a few times this season. While he has been injured most of last season, the previous seasons he was one of the most consistent in our team when it comes to appearances. And when he did play under Max, he didn't do that bad really. Didn't light the world on fire, but didn't do bad.

I know he doesn't fit Allegri's formation and idea of football - but then again, if we go by what some people are saying, neither do any of the players we currently have. I mean, Noce, Urby, fucking Muntari... it's not like we're talking world class players. Al could have shown some flexibility and found a place for him if he wanted to.

Oh right. Flexible Al. Should be his nickname.

Anyway, fuck Juventus.

We had 5-6 years of unmotivated Pirlo so unless you can read the future you wont know how will he perform in Juve.
Marchisio & Vidal are better than our entire midfield & they can easily pass the ball around so juve adding one more good midfielder could have gave you a much better Juve than Pirlo's.
And then we would still lose the title while having a 5mil unmotivated Pirlo to stick around for three years getting paid to have a walk on the pitch not giving a shit.
Hunt is kicking ass in Germany so are you regretting that also ?
Letting go of a 30+ dont give a shit player is always good even if he perform good.

Our problem wasnt gifting Pirlo to Juve or loosing him.
It was a combination of bad luck & mediocrity specially in midfield.
Say all you want about Allegri or Juve but despite all the shit players we had we would have still kicked their ass if we didnt get such an injury crisis & referees mistakes.
Bad luck was also that Juve didnt have any.
That said , next season with G&B is gonna make us think this season was heaven.

Actually, every person on here who rated pirlo, said, that with players like juve have (athletic, make runs off the ball), he'd be very good again.... which he has been this season...

It's not a fluke he's performed so well this season, nor is it down to pure motivation alone either.

And they did also said its better for us to let go of him before the majority of them confess that he wasnt performing for the last 4-5 years with Milan which was always the debate in here rather than the reason why isnt he performing.
I mean they could have gotten Seedorf & they would have done great also , who knows.
Thing is we won the title without him & our players over performed this season to give them a scare.
Milan is far from being a good team.
TS & Ibra are probably the best players in Italy but a combination of 10 good players will win over two world class players surrounded with mediocrity.
Problem wasnt Pirlo in Juve since they didnt fly away with the title & a mediocre squad like Milan was directly behind them.
SerieA is shit & Juve next season will get murdered if they played the current team , but we all know they will spend big time.
Inter were the underachiever , we were over achievers & Juve deserved the title.

Aaaand Bingo!

Thing is, Max didn't need/want him. I'm fine with that, and I agree that the club should go with the coach. After the season's over, you can judge the coach. Letting Pirlo go was a terrible blunder on our part.

And as for Marchisio & Vidal being better than our entire midfield... well, actually Pirlo is better than both of them this season. Sure, he needs them to perform that way, but come on, give the guy some credit.

Add to that his influence behind the scenes - many of our established players have said that he's a great influence in the locker room. He's the one making a good team great. And that is invaluable.

That false on so many levels.
But as usual we will go in circles & then part after getting bored.
Pirlo was playing like shit with Milan for so many years & you + others were claiming him the best that ever was so I doubt that after wining the league & performing good then you will evaluate him rightly.

Highest rating, most appearances, most man of the match performances...

We should have built a team around him. ;)

Wow , I stand corrected if someone wrote a rating.
Messi probably deserved the award over Xavi , Inie or Sneijder in the past couple of years.
Carry on.

Nah, disregard everyone, heed Wild.

Look, I respect you a lot. You're a long time Milan fan, and some of your posts have been a joy to read. I agree with you on many things, but I'm absolutely sure you're wrong about Pirlo. And I think you know you're exaggerating some things.

Anyway, a pleasant talk with you.
