Another perfect player last night.

We're not use to this many perfect performances in a single match :D

the first assist made me forget who the fuck Pirlo was.

Great game. Nocerino found his defensive side in this game that he had forgotten in previous games.

Was not his best, but his two way quality still makes him good in my books.

Prefer him on the left!

Prefer him on the bench.

What's this dude's pass completion percentage on the year?

83.9% according to whoscored. Mostly simple, short passes. Only 75% against Cesena, the 2nd worst among the starters. 71% against Arsenal, again one of the worst(Ibra had worse, but he always tries to get the ball forward).
The worst thng about him isn't his passing, it's the amount of times he gives away the ball because of his lack of ball control. He makes his teammates pass accuracy worse, lol.

Anyway, I hope we'll see him on the bench when Aqua returns. I'd like to see Urby take over his spot.

i notice in the urby and muntari thread there is not what id call hate but but alot of people who arent fans of nocerino. ive watched him every game this season and he is a great player to have and will be a starter for many years. he has done nothing bad to warrant people saying muntari is a better alternative.

Maybe they're basing the performance of last night to judge. Tbh nocerino was average yesterday, not that Muntari was great last night (that blunder which almost cost us a goal for ex) but maybe his debut goal + ex interista scoring for milan inflate everybody's opinion on Muntari.

I wouldn't necessarily say that Muntari is better than Nocerino for us, seeing that he only played in one game and against weak team.

Nocerino was (hopefully) just having a day off yesterday

A blunder is a blunder and you move on from it. He had a good game otherwise. I don't even care about the goal. I loved how he made himself available to the defense, fluidly received the ball from them while turning up field and often made the right decisions in advancing the team. His passes were also weighted really well and he switched play beautifully when called for. Not to mention his work rate overall was good.

He provides qualities that only a couple of our other midfielders can and if he keeps it up I don't know if there will be a need for Monty because in general he won't be much more decisive, just another good passer or ball-player.

Nocerino is the type of player that doesnt gain fans because most of the valuable work he does is off possession.

When anyone suggest Robinho, SES and Ibra together I actually stop listen. And it is the same people that dislike Nocerino.

Exactly, the question is whether he can keep it up or it is just a temporary adrenaline rush (joining Milan, become starter on his debut, beginner's luck you name it).

For Milan's sake i hope that he can keep it up, I would hate to see pandev/kharja type signing by Milan.

has Nocerino's fire been blowing out slowly? Anyone else think he's not as good as he was early on the season? Not just the goals, but performance too....

Like someone said, maybe Prince + Aquilani + Muntari + Urby are indeed better options than he is....maybe.

he has played a lot of games, it would be understandable.

some players might be better then him and could offer something different.

what I don't understand is people have already made their mind up about him.
it seems people want him to fail and go out of their way to point out every mistake he makes or deficiency he has.

he seem undeserving of the negative comments against him.

most players are judged on what they do, he is judged on what he doesn't do or what we would like him to do. seems unfair.

Nocerino was a little bit tired at Cesena so I wouldn't worry that much.

It was his third game in 8 days, and against Arsenal he was perfect, had a perfect assist and nullified every threat that came his way, and killed a lot of possible dangerous counters.

The thing is, Nocerino has never been a great player and is not starting material. Apart from his runs(which sometimes get exploited) and living off Ibra, he doesn't add much to the team's play(especially when Ibra's not playing). He gives away the ball more than any other of our midfielders. Makes the least amount of successful tackles among our B2Bs. He has mediocre qualities. Scoring 6-7 goals doesn't change that.

Ibra has bad games, but he has all the qualities to be great, unlike Noce.

Pato needs to be sold mostly because of his injuries.

agree nocerino has never been a great player, but in time with good coaching he could become one.

ibra is already great but if he had some of nocerino's qualities he would be the greatest.

I don't hear anyone put ibra down when it would be easier for ibra to show the effort and determination nocerino shows every game then it would be for nocerino to show the skill and technique ibra shows.

one shows god given skill the other man made will.

we bought pirlo and gattuso when they were considered flops or nothing special and now they are football icons.

yes he has the least tackles among our B2B mids but very few people get past him in fact less people get past him then any other mid.

he is exceptional at containing a player.
in a situation where you can't tackle or you shouldn't tackle, you should always contain. he does.

the fact that he has played more then any player except silva shows that he is doing something right and that he has the complete faith of the coach.

nocerino is becoming to some some milan fans what makalele was to the real madrid board. an inconvenient truth in their football dream.

in the last 20 years we've seen inter buy the most hyped creative players, world superstars, dream signings yet it was one unheralded Argentinian they bought that eclipsed them all, Javier Zanetti. (if noch becomes half the play zanetti was...:proud:)

teams need people like him nocerino to allow the others to do what they do best.
