watching him play vs england is just :fp: guy cant pass, nor does he do anything in defense. needs to ride the pine

Lol, were you blind? He had several well placed, dangerous balls into the box and passed well on the ground. Even more, I recall him breaking up several plays and covering Peluso, so he was hardly "doing nothing" in defense.

The Noce hate is really getting stale.

Basically from what I saw, he was poor in the first half, very good in the second half. The performances were completely opposite for each half with regards to passing and tackling, which is what is mainly asked of him.

He was pretty crap for most part, but made one or two very good contributions.

If it was up to me, he'd be a starter in

- games we'll obviously dominate possessionally with and without him and Montolivo is also starting

We cant afford having Nocerino in the midfield if the others are Ambro and one of our other many runners.

So, basically
-----------
in small games

Constant/B2B - Montolivo - Noce
-----------
against technically equal or superior teams

Constant - Montolivo - Traore/Muntari
--------------
when Monto's not available and Ambro for some reason has to start

Constant/Munt - Ambro - Traore/Urby

So, you'd rather have Constant, an inexperienced, unproven midfielder who just came here, than Noce, who played about every game last season and contributed 11 goals, most of which were important? I'm sorry, but scoring against Barcelona at the Camp Nou does not make him a small game or team player. To also suggest that Traore or Muntari(On the right, :fp:) should start over him is completely delusional.

From what I've seen from Nocerino, he's really improved the passing aspect of his game, he is still nowhere near the level of Montolivo or Aquilani, but he is definitely looking better.

Defensively, he still runs about and covers ground but does not do anything significant of note.

Constant has better technique & physique, is better at maintaing possession and wins more balls back than Nocerino. I have more faith in him than in Nocerino. But if he fails to make the improvements and adjustments I think he has in him then he should of course not be a starter and maybe also get sold.

Traore and Muntari can offer Monto a bit more freedom than Noce can, they can cover for him. Muntari is also a better ball winner than Noce.

Noce can score against any team and in any game, but sometimes his incompleteness/inconsistency becomes too much, especially against teams who know how to press and maintain possession.
But most of our games are against technically inferior teams, so I dont mind him being a starter in the majority of our games.

Constant is only on loan, he cant be sold. And he has better physique than Nocerino? Is it because he is African?

Traore is still an unknown factor, how do you know he can offer Monto more freedom?

constant SUCKS at retaining posession. He tries to dribble/elaborate everytime he touches the ball.

Nocerino keeps it simple. He's unspectacular

Like I said, he needs to make improvements/adjustments, but he does have better ball control and can handle pressure when in possession better than Noce.

bold:
It isn't very effective though, except in some cases, mainly against inferior opponents. But my problem with him isn't him trying to keep things simple, it's the amount of times he loses the ball, this while not even being a ball hogger.

Maybe. Or it's because he's 8-9cm taller, robust looking and have decent pace.

Traore is still an unknown factor, how do you know he can offer Monto more freedom?

His height allows him to be an at least average anchor.
But yeah he's an unknown factor.

Comparing passing between a player at Genoa and one at Milan :fp: I'm sure Nocerino's stats were just as bad as Constant's at Palermo

Constant is a genoa flop. He was one of their worst players and no, not just when they made him play fullback. Even when he was playing as a midfileder i remember one of his games when he was playing as a LCM and he did nothing but misplace passes all game and doing a fantastic seedorf impression (dwelling/felling asleep on the ball far too long till someone ran from behind and dispossessed him). That lasted till the genoa fans started booing him and he got subbed. Ask some genoa fan im sure he will tell u constant was one of their worse players of the season.

Meanwhile nocerino was one of palermos better players and even then earned a NT call from prandelli IIRC.

Nocerino scored 16 in his last 103 apps. 2 more than Binho, El Shaarawy, Pato, Pazzini and Zè Eduardo combined last year: 103 apps 14 goals.

ok but how many goals did Binho, Pato, Pazzino and Z eduardo scored in their last 103 apps. Your comparaison is pointless and utter crap.

In what way is that a valid comparison?

I got it of twitter, it is a piece of info, you read it and then you move on...
Your comments are useless and can be considered off-topic, this is a thread made for people to post stats and opinions about the player...
