Napoli got some awesome speed in their game! Im glad if they idd pull it of and take an EPL team out of the CL.

Time for Milan to take out barca or another EPL team tomorrow when forcing them to play a group winner :)

Napoli haven't qualified yet. If Napoli beat Villareal away then they'll qualify, but Italians (especially Napoli) are known to play so well and mess up at the very last. I am worried they'll lose to Villareal who have zero points, it would be a typical story for a club like Napoli after the great work they've done in the CL. If Napoli make it to the knockout stage they will be a very, very, very hard team to beat.

Agree with Lucia, we shouldn't play with a highline because our midfielders can't pass the ball fast enough like the Barca players can and our two defenders are slower than three of their attackers. I think we should play the way we've always been playing and try to capitalize on the counter.

High-line vs Barca could be perfection or could be suicide (5-0 Real). It's a great way to keep them as far away as possible from goal, but downside is one mistake and they're 1-0 up.

It's doable with Nesta and Silva. Not sure if Abate's brain and Zambrotta's legs could keep up however.

Risky move though. Takes guts, but way too risky. Especially if the team concedes early on it might ruin the game for us.

I've already seen a couple of possible linups for tomeorrow, and none of them had Seedorf. That worries me a lot. He may be old, slow and sometimes inconsistent, but he's also been our very best performer in big games. And seriously, I don't believe Aquilani, Nocerino and Van Bommel/Ambrosini is a midfield capable of handling Barcelona's pressing. But that could change with Clarence making one of those three spots (in my opinion, t would be best ahead of Nocerino).

I think we should combine our most technical center-midfield trio (Clarence, Aquilani and Van Bommel, in my view) with deep defending. There's no use fielding players that have good work rate and are good defensively if they can't resist pressure and therefore can't manage to complete more than three passes.

Allegri:

"We will need to be balanced and play higher up the pitch so as not to allow Barcelona too much possession."

http://www.goal.com/en/news/1716/champions-league/2011/11/22/2769110/its-a-dream-to-play-the-best-team-in-the-world-in-barcelona-says-

Playing with a high defensive line, I'm a bit worried about this:

-Zambrotta and Nesta aren't fast.

-Barca have been very successful, mainly through Cesc, at just lobbing the ball over the defense to a runner.

-Villa and Pedro are players who aren't good at challenging defenders, but they can beat an offside trap, and they can poach. I high defensive line is playing to their strength.

highline ?? with zambrotta MVB seedorf and nesta???:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I simply want 8 defensive players in front of Abbiati and long balls to Ibra & Pato, we'll win this way :o

We might see Pato vs Puyol 1 on 1 in a huge space ;p

Allegri said "higher". That doesn't necessairly mean we'll play "high", but maybe just not as deep as at Camp Nou.

At least that's what I hope he meant :D

aquilani/ urby shit that isnt gonna happen aquilani may be given 10 min or so against bartha urby no chance

Shows how much faith you have in your "favorite player." What do you suggest then? No others besides those two. And if you think Ambrosini will keep up the forwards of Barca you are in a different world.

Agreed..aquilani and noce are both must starts for us..and as for ambro, love the guy but he would get circles ran around him by barca if he plays and wouldn't be given no more then 30 min.

You know what? I'm thinking here maybe Allegri is pressured to play an attacking game since there's nothing really to lose except finishing top of group, 1st or 2nd we could get a tough team or an easy one, nothing guaranteed anyway! If there was ever a chance that we would try to put in a show against such team it's now! Sacchi said we have to respect our history and not play like 1st leg so maybe B&G heard that!

One thing I know is, that If We are playing with Ambrosini, MILAN will LOSE 4 sure !
Thanks 4 everything He has done in the past, but It`s time to say Goodbye to MILAN !
Knowing Allegri tactics, I`m sure that He will Play Italians, just like He did in the past :o Abbiati, Abate, Nesta, Zamrotta, Nocerino, Aquillani and Ambro :o 4 sure, hoping that He will be winning as a Italian pride Team :o

I really hope that tomorrow evening He wont play Ambro, cuz He makes me SICK with such stupid fouls He makes near the area ! Making such stupid fouls against BARCA, is like giving them a PK

NO AMBRO against BARCA

I simply can't wait. I'd rather not have that kind of excitement at the group stage, but since it's done, let's enjoy it.

I think Allegri will start Ambro. He is our Captain, he is fit so he'll probably start for us.That's not good.

I think we can win the match and this is a great chance to stamp ourselves on this competition even if this is a 'dead rubber'.We need a morale boost what better way to get it then to beat Barca? I'm going for a 3-1 win for us despite my Ambro starting fears.

Van Bommel form this season is much worse than last season. While Ambro has been solid as anchor. Whoever Allegri choose, I don't think it'll be much of a difference.

I expect more intensity from Milan in this game, like we did the last 20 minutes in the Camp Nou. Our form is better now, the midfield is working better, we will have Ibra, Robinho, Boateng fully fit, and Aquilani now got integrated into the system.

We need Seedorf for the match, the CL makes magic inside him, his soul becomes 20 yrs old again, his body goes back to his teenager days but his mind keeps the experience of years as a Pro...

We need him!

Except, I think Ambro is better.

I'd rather see Seedorf as anchor than MVB and Aqua HAS TO start!

Starting line-up should be:

Ibrahimovic-Pato
Boateng
Seedorf-MvB-Nocerino
Antonini-T.Silva-Nesta-Abate
Abiatti

The only thing idk about is Seedorf or Aquilani. Aquilani is probably more reliable and he will less likely have a bad game, but with Seedorf and the CL I don't think you can really go wrong.

Ambrosini has been decent and Van Bommel has been poor, but I really think we should start MvB. That's a huge game, and he is a natural winner. Seedorf was in atrocious form just before the second leg against Tottenham last season, and he delivered a stunning performance.

I really think we can't underestimate the influence of those players. Clarence, Van Bommel, Zlatan, Nesta...

Very true. If Allegri MUST start Ambro, I could only see him playing right in front of the defense maybe to help out a slow zambrotta or inexperienced Taiwo? because he wouldn't have the stamina to cover the wings. Something like this? I dont like it much though

------------------------------Abbiati--
-------Abate--------Nesta/Mexes--------TS------Zam/TT/Anto
-----------------------------------Ambro---------------------------
---------------------Noce/Aqua--------------Seedorf/Urby
-----------------------------Boateng------------------------------
------------------------Ibra-------------Robinho/Pato-------------------

I see a lot of people asking for Seedorf like he some CL God:lol:. What did he do the last time Milan face Barca besides that move on Alves and the assist to Silva. He was pretty much a non-factor for majority of the game just like he usually is.

He was the best one out of our players at not losing the ball despite their off-ball pressing. They couldn't get the ball from him. His problem was being slow in decisions and showing too much of his ball holding skills, not being a "non-factor"/invisible.

It was a joke from Allegri.

Q: "Ibra to risk too much adrenaline for tomorrow?
Allegri: "He wants to do well, then when he had a stomach ache I gave Malox, tomorrow I will give him a Valium (laughs)." -milannews

Back when the press was going on and on about Zlatan having a "bellyache", (which is the word they used for him being tired of football after they misinterpreted an interview he gave) Allegri joked with them and said he'd given Zlatan Malox, a medicine, for the phantom stomach ache. Now he joked and said he'd give him Valium to tranquilize him. :D
