Guardiola: 'It was a penalty'
By Football Italia staff

Pep Guardiola insisted both penalties were the right decision and Barcelona fully deserved to knock Milan out of the Champions League.

The Rossoneri were beaten 3-1, but it was still 1-1 when Alessandro Nesta tugged Sergio Busquets’ shirt to give away a soft penalty, as he was also being shoved by Carles Puyol.

“When there is a tug on a shirt, you award a penalty,” was Guardiola’s response to questions on the spot-kick.

“In the first half we played with three at the back to create more scoring opportunities, so by the end we had 21 shots on goal against three for Milan.

“We defended well and after going 2-1 up, we returned to a four-man defence to control the game.

“Lionel Messi is a wonderful player and we have the great fortune of having him in our squad.”

Barcelona scored 8 goals against us in 4 matches. There were:
- 3 penalties (with at least 2 bullshit calls by the refs)
- 1 Free Kick
- 1 Own Goal
- 1 tap-in
- 1 goal with a luckily deflected shot
- 1...yes ONLY ONE WELL WORKED GOAL from Xavi

We scored 5:
- 1 Pato wonder-goal
- 1 corner goal (at the death!)
- 1 Boateng MOTHERFUCKINGBOSSOFA goal
- 2 Well worked goals from Ibra and Noce.

We might not have progressed, but we certainly put up a great fight. Granted they are the better team, but if we didn't get those stupid penalty calls against, things may have favoured us.

Football works in cycles, and I can't wait until we're back on top of Europe - recent showings prove that we're probably only 2 signings away from getting UCL #8...also can't wait until Barça's luck runs out!

you know.. it would be nice to see Barca have an injury hit season with key players missing like we have had and see just how well they cope.

Lets look at the positives:

- We can focus on the Scudetto now
- We have witnessed what Luca Antonini is capable of
- Mexes/Nesta pair is a more than decent backup plan
- This year's injustice will give us more hunger to win this year's league, and next year's UCL. Judging by our preformances, we're 2 signings away from winning it. A real trequartista and 1 decent FB.

I'm too angry to look at the positives right now.

I'll bookmark this post and look at it again in a few days.

Barca didn’t expect penalty, says Abbiati
By Football Italia staff

Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati was stunned with the second penalty awarded to Barcelona. “I don’t think they expected it!”

Barca booked their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League with a 3-1 win at the Camp Nou on Tuesday.

Nevertheless, the decision to penalise Alessandro Nesta while the game was still at 1-1 has angered the Italian champions.

“I honestly wasn’t expecting the penalty and neither were the Barcelona players,” he told Milan Channel.

“We battled, we made them suffer and even scared them because we were in a qualification position after we equalised.”

Although now only left for the Scudetto to fight for this season, the custodian was content with his side’s showing on the continent.

“We’ll go out with our heads held up high,” noted the ‘keeper. “However, there is a little bitterness because we did believe after the 0-0 first leg draw.

“It’s a shame, but now we have the Scudetto to play for where we have eight Finals. We have a small lead and we have to hold on to it.

“From Wednesday, we are now only thinking of the championship.”

The Diavolo have a two-point advantage over Juventus in Serie A.

I blame the pitch. It was too smooth, too perfect.

LA77 claims that the reason for the 1st penalty was because the pitch was too wet, causing him to tumble into (an offside) Messi when he was trying to put the brakes on.

Would you really like to be like someone who thinks that Nesta made a CLEAR PENALTY while ball wasnt even on the game?

think twice.
I have to  at Wild...

Pretty pathetic when you know everybody are angry and disappointed...

You don't like to act tough on the internet but you like to act like some fucking Yoda on some football forum... Way to go bro.
Where did I said it was a clear penalty ?
All I said is that I was mad coz Nesta over pulled Busq with no particular reason allowing the ref to give a penalty rather if it was cheating or a mistake.
I said the penalty was soft/light & probably one out of ten will give it but the foul exist.
This is my sin but the real Milan fan will get the penalty opinion right but they can get away with all kind of shit simply coz it favors Milan.
I mean the first penalty was soft - Messi was offside (my favorite) - Messi dived - Masc deserved a red - the tackle on Lopez was a foul - etc , etc ....
Yeah , being wrong in one incident deserve hanging but talking shit lies about half dozens its ok coz it favor us.
Some fans but hey this era is a reflection of those fans in a way.

It was funny too see those midgets how they were confused when Nocerino scored... Seriously if we scored another one they would be totally lost... I couldn't believe level of whining from the midgets... Every time there were even a slightest contact they would throw their hands in the air and look over to that motherfucking referee. It's ridiculous how they are protected by the refs.

The only problem we had against them was that we couldn't get the ball out of our side of the pitch. Every time we did it we put them under pressure and we create a goal chance.

All in all I am satisfied with the effort. It's tough to play vs 4-3-3-3refs formation. Hopefully Chelsea can at least break a leg to that midget with autism.

Time to retake the Scudetto. Forza Milan!

Was it Allergri's fault for Thiago Silva to get Injured - NoDid Milan have any luck in both the games - No

Has Barcelona really made a difference against Milan - No

Is Milan gonna win the 20th Seri A titile and the Champion League 2013 - Fck Yes ( we are gonna be back)

optimistic it can be, but we are gonna be in the finals next years.

It is his fault, even allegri admit it, saying he risked him.

Milan outshot 21-3. The better team won.

That means fuck all.

Milan could have shot from the half-way line 35 times and we'd have better shot stats.

:fp:

when did more shots = deserved to win?

i'm not saying barca weren't the better side, but your first sentence really has no meaning with the next one.
