I cant imagine Ronaldo scoring less in any other league, if hes the centerpiece of the strategy, which is the way it would be anyway. the guy is essentially the perfect goalscorer, his athletic abilities are off the charts unlike anyone else, he has maximum goalscoring technique in terms of first touch, finishing, shooting. And he has unmatched instinct, he is opportunistic, insanely determined, obsessed with scoring. He had a shit game against Juve and he still scored. He wasnt even the best player today, Modric, Xabi Alonso, Benzema were better, but he got a hattrick. He doesnt need to play well to score. Unlike Messi, he isnt dependent on the system. He will get his numbers one way or another, hes just a freak of nature. The fodder opposition argument doesn't stand. Anywhere he would play he would have similar numbers. and he needs to be given the golden ball because he deserves it.

I agree but I think it's more an issue of Real and Barca having video game squads than anything else. You go waaaay down the line from the starting xi and you get MANY players that would START for many top teams. Fucking Pedro is a GREAT player who's only crime is that he's on the same team with Neymar. Look at how well Real's rejects do elsewhere Ozil, Sneijder, Kakà etc. Fabregas was a great youth player from the la masia who was basically the best CM in the prem.

So when you combine these fantasy teams, they can't help but score. If to go along with CR and Messi's. 40 's there were several high or mid. 30 's then you'd have a case. But the drop off past the world's best two is steep
