Those were 20-30 years ago though...terrible examples
Fans have changed since then

Same scumbags, different generations.

Calling out Maldini and Costacurta in the 90s, calling out Maldini in the late 00's, booing selectively Seedorf while everyone was underperforming the same, racist regionalist chants, all cool? On top of that they have a history of not allowing people not affiliated with the Curva to sit around them, or letting the other fans come up with their own chants.

And they're not loyal or anything like that, they get money from the clubs (via blackmail, most of the time, obviously the big guys get it, trick rest into thinking about being loyal and stuff) to live on being ultras. To sum up, they're pieces of entitled shit.

Heard that Inzaghi is in talks with Catania to become their coach.

Now it's true that Inzaghi was not the best coach in Serie A and that Catania finished 15th in Serie B, so the team is modest even by Serie B standards... but I've got nothing but respect for a guy that stumbled in his first steps but is willing to stand up and try again even though on a much smaller team with a small salary . Seedorf should take notes on how it's done.

Hope Inzaghi does great and best of luck to him.

Out for a walk.
He'd do well in Serie B, especially with Catania who under performed massively this season, seeing as they still have some good players from the year previous.

This has to be my favourite goal of his from that campaign.

This video is so disgusting, not because it's bad, but because it shows how much awesome talent we had on that team and how far we've fallen.... the classiest flick by seedorf, sure finish from inzaghi, wish I could go back in time, I used to live and die with that team... now I keep hoping there's a team we can build that has the true rossoneri heart and can bring back our passion and class again

How about the fact a Milan ultra killed a Genoa fan? Orrrrrr...

"Neapolitans Together With the Jews in the Ovens" read one banner in Milan's San Siro stadium before a 1989 AC Milan-Napoli match"

So classy!

1989! A time when English fans, supposedly a bastion of good behaviour today, were banned from Europe. Some PERSPECTIVE, for fuck's sake. Italian fans have some catching up to do but Ladro's right, our ultras embarrass themselves the least out of the big clubs in Italy.

And are regionalist chants really racist? They're racist if that region is inhabited by people of a different ethnicity to Italians, but it isn't. Just like the Mancunian "you're lucky you're not Scouse, eating rats in your council house" is offensive, but not really racist.

Same scumbags, different generations.

It's quite amazing how you feel that professional footballers on millions of dollars should be spared criticism from their fans - a football club's most valuable asset. There were times when Maldini and Costacurta played poorly, and it's only with the benefit of hindsight that it becomes unimaginable that such legends could be criticised.

I also like how the ultras are collectively blamed for the Maldini incident. As if it was the entire curva and not a small section of fans who had some issues with Paolo off the pitch. Anyone who was at the Roma game and not watching it in his parents' basement on a pixelated stream would know that 99% of the curva paid their respects.

Is it really the "same scumbags"? I'm sure you're aware of the political and structural conflicts between and within Fossa dei Leoni, Brigate Rossonere and Commandos Tigre in the past, so do you really think there was unanimous agreement about everything in the curva in 1989, 2009 etc?

And they're not loyal or anything like that, they get money from the clubs (via blackmail, most of the time, obviously the big guys get it, trick rest into thinking about being loyal and stuff) to live on being ultras. To sum up, they're pieces of entitled shit.

It must be comforting supporting Milan from thousands of miles away and telling yourself that the actual tifosi are nothing more than mafiosi. Because OBVIOUSLY those at the stadium week in week out, making financial sacrifices to watch their team, have got nothing on keyboard warriors in their replica shirts on an Internet forum.

If I may add, crazy4milan, "entitled pieces of shit" are the people who talk shit about Milan online all day, having given absolutely ZERO to the club, yet demand that people spend hundreds of millions of dollars for their pleasure. Wouldn't you agree?

But hey, as long as you've got your Gullit avatar then it's your club too amirite.

What does Berlusconi owe any of you plastic fans, most of whom started following the team either in 2003 or 2007? All a football club owes its fans is value for money in the stadium. Yet it seems none of you even pay for the privilege of watching matches, judging by the amount of "stream plz" posts on match day.

If you don't like it, support your local teams instead. Maybe after you've stopped clinging onto successful clubs to compensate for being utter losers in life, you'll realise that football isn't about trophies and shirt sales.

The Curva Sud and Berlusconi are Milan, not any of you.

Bravo...just Bravo man :thumbsup::star:
Some people around here expect our fans to be perfect

It's not right to dismiss the whole fans who go to the stadium week in week out just because of a few incidents and act as if we're somehow any better than them when most of us here haven't gotten the privilege to even visit San Siro once in our lives

I don't see anything wrong with C4M's posts ... yes a lot of the organized fan groups are entitled pieces of shit ... not only at Milan though, that's the same everywhere ... and the treatment to Maldini less than 10 years ago was petty, juvenile and truly unforgivable.

Not sure about racism though, Seedorf was booed in a lot of games and despite the fact that a lot of players might underperform, it's the most talented players that piss you off ... and let's face it, when Seedorf turned the light on, he was a pleasure to watch (like in the 2007 CL games), but in many serie A games, he'd just screw around, hold the ball too long and generally piss people off because people know what he's capable of.
Yes, I cursed at Seedorf, I cursed also at Savicevic, Pirlo, Robinho and Balotelli when they played like shit. I also applauded them when they played well.

Sky Italia says Catania, in the market for a new coach, are keen to discuss the post with Inzaghi.

Inzaghi is expected to be axed by Milan in the coming days, with a compensation package now being negotiated. Gardening leave would not be an option if Inzaghi wants to jump straight back into management.

Sinisa Mihajlovic, meanwhile, is waiting in Serbia for Milan to settle terms with Inzaghi before signing with the Rossoneri

Good news :o

wow, let's agree on one thing ... these people say that they are attached to the club and all other things, but when it comes to money they never let it go. I didn't expect that Inzaghi would pull another Seedorf and stay on our pay-book.

Damn, such a shame ... and to think that we should have fired him long long ago, but instead kept looking like shit so that we didn't make him look even shittier.

*edit*
yup, as expected ... the driest farewell, no best wishes or anything ... wouldn't be surprised if Inzaghi also pulls another Leonardo in the near future.

Despite the fact he endured a bad tenure as coach, the insults directed at this Milan legend over the previous few months were appalling.

It has never been his fault. He worked as a shield for Berlusconi and Galliani.

Next season, if we don't sort our medical staff, we'll fail. If we don't sort our fitness training, we'll fail. If we don't act wisely in the transfer market, we'll fail.

We all know that.
