Because it's full of bashers on here, people who can't wait to criticise anything that is related to Milan, just for the sake of it.

Shit...sorry i double posted.

Some ppl living in a dream land where everything is always fine & wont know the shit even if its hitting em in the face.

On topic , Bouffon is the best Gk in the world. (don’t know if this change after his injury)

But how old is Bouffon ?
I think he is 29-30.
So why would we pay Juve $20-30mil 2 sign a GK that will only give us 3-4 years of good performance.
I think we should keep Dida & sign Amelia. Instead.
He is younger + cheaper + don’t want our money 2 go 2 Juve.

Whether it's Buffon coming or Dida staying , both are welcome and the lucky one will win the place .

I am not sure that Milan really needs Buffon. Goalkeeper's line is very strong in face of Dida. He is only 32 and can play still pretty long. I am also sure that Buffon wouldn't come on free transfer to Milan, would he?

- so the question is - isn't it better to buy players in the most weakest line rather then to improve the line that is still pretty strong???

Well, this transfer would only happen if and only if JUVE gets relegated. That hasn't happen yet !!

Perfect?! U wish  ! Buffon has never convinced me as a good keeper. Enjoy betting with large amounts of bucks, is it a good habit? Buffon looks like a playboy or a gang than a keeper.

Yeah, 02-03 CL Final, Buffon pushed 2 out, 1 by luck and the other by 'his skill'. But to me that didn't matter, looking at him celebrating like an asshole made me rofl, while our Dida was calm. A keeper never celebrates after pushing 1, or even 3 in a penalty shootout, he must stay calm even if he is very happy. All he needs is to stay calm and concentrate, he can celebrate the whole night after the match, which Buffon couldn't have done ;) .

Buffon would have an incredible impact on the team.

One of the most important traits for a GK to have is a commanding, confident presence. Say what you will about Dida, but he has NEVER had this. Want to know why the team has always had problems with setpieces? Dida. The best defenses always have someone between the sticks that is assertive---he yells out who to mark who and, if need be, makes a decisive intervention. 99 percent of the time, Dida stands in the box with no clue looking like someone's holding a gun to his forehead. His timid-nervous demeanor effects the whole defense in an extremely negative way.

Buffon is the gold-standard for GKs. With Gigi behind them, (no homo  ) Nesta and Kaladze/Maldini/Gallas/whoever will be infinetely better.

Buffon in--Dida out. Next step, midfield.

I guess u r right. Dida is nearly 33,and has maybe another 3-4 years left in the tank. But Buffon, aside from being one of the best in the world, is still only 28, and has a good 8-10 seasons left in him. Keeping in mind the contractual problems we seem to be having at present with Dida and taking into account Juve's prospective relegation, I think it'll be pretty stupid if Buffon becomes available and we sit watching as Inter or Man U swoop for him.

Dida's done great things for us, yeah, but this is Buffon we're talking about - tipped to join the ranks of Yashin, Banks and Shmeichel when he hangs up his boots.

But if Juve do happen to give relegation and justice the slip as they so often do, i believe Abbiati would be the perfect No.2 to keep Dida on his toes. But Ancelotti needs to be a bit ruthless here, and he certainly hasn't been so far. In fact, he has this rather conservative approach of sticking with tried and tested players and standing by them no matter what. It is inspirational only to an extent. Then inspiration is replaced by bitter disappointement, disppointment by despondency and despondency by anger.

That's what happened to Simic, that's what happened to Rui. It should not happen to Abbiati when he reurns.

OK, now that I've calmed down, I've thought a bit about this.

There was only one week between the end of the Serie A season and the Brazilian team's departure to Switzerland for only the biggest sporting event on the planet, with God-knows-what happening in between. How can serious contract negotiations be expected to take place in such a short timespan?

Neither Dida (heck, he doesn't say anything, period) nor the bastard Galliani have come out and explicitly revealed the reason for the stall in negotiations. So why would the club suddenly have Buffon to Milan all but wrapped up if contract talks have not been finalized? You'd think they'd take care of their own first. Plus, consider the sources: perennial bullshit artists Tribalfootball and Channel 4.

Galliani's shenanigans over the past few months are an insult to Dida, plain and simple. And the next time he publicly expresses faith in someone, they're pretty much up the creek.

Dida has served Milan well but we are going to have to buy a GK pretty soon maybe 2-3 years on... so we have to select ..do we buy Amelia a prospect for the future or do we buy Buffon now a GK proven at the top most level (if Juve do get relegated ) ... Buffon may not always pull off the spectacular but always maintains a good level of Gk-ing .. Buffon is tipped to stand beside the all time greats but he wont end up in that list if he has no othr trophy other than the Serie A title... He needs higher honours... and with Milan he can get them... (juve'll never win any European honour if they dont get rid of certain players like Emerson...the slowest person on the pitch against Arsenal ) ... Buffon definitely has the reasons to come here but its all upto Galliani again.... Mr.Egg head needs to make a few correct decisions now...

My vote is definitely for Buffon...
let amelia gain some more experience....!!

i do agree Buffon is rightly considered the best GK at the moment... but to be honest... i prefer Dida stayin' with Abbiati poised to take over in the near future... if we can get a cut down price for Buffon around the region of 10 million or less... i think it's a good deal... but anythin' more i feel it will not be money well spent... however... should Buffon come... he has to work his way into the first team... and be a deputy for Dida... should Dida go through a bad patch than Buffon can take over... else Dida should remain the first choice... at the same time... we must sell Abbiati if Buffon comes over...
