I'd go with Gilardino as the lone striker. He's alot better than it than Pippo who looks as if he's struggling when he's up there alone. Inzaghi is probably the better finisher however which is a plus.

In a CL match...you gotta be kidding me...gila never scored when we needed him...(not to mention he didn't score in xyz cl games last year) like barca last year...and what to say about pippo...even now he's great...you may not like him but you gotta respect him...of course my voice goes to SUPER PIPPO!!!

just watched a compilation of goals from his two seasons at parma... he scored all sorts... left foot, right foot, volleys, headers, long shots, tap ins, penaltys...

Completely different question.

Milan play with a single striker supported by Kaka' in Champions League and this will not change vs. Manchester United. Also Ronaldo is cup-tied and Oliveira has not won the support of Ancelotti so the choice comes down to two strikers: Gila and Pippo.

I am just wondering who the members of this forum prefer.

I guess the FIT guy should play. Last week Pippo played injured with only one full training session under his belt, yet got little credit for sacrificing his health but lots of flak for being 'rusty', + even if I trust him more to score a CL goal than I trust Gila right now, I wouldn't want him to risk aggravating his injury for not even an acknowledging thank you.

I would prefer Inzaghi if he is fit.
Gila is a poor finisher.
And either the referee do not like him or he is cursed.
He seems to have a lot of goals disallowed this season.
So no to Gila.

But I would support the idea of fielding Gila and pippo together rather than single striker.

It's a little bit early to compare them though , given the age gap . Well , in winning 11 PS2 video game , Gila is slightly better . But IN REALITY Pippo is more clever , more experienced , better finisher , has better positioning skills and has a magic touch to turn games around . He is proven in the biggest clubs league , the CL , with 56 European goals , hopefully more to come ofcourse .

Btw Gila still has more time to improve , and has the qualities to match Pippo or even more but i doubt he can reach his full potential that will change him from a good player to a great player . So SuperPippo all the wayyyy 'for now '. Time will tell for Gila , gotta be PATIENT with him.

Not a bad idea . But Kaka aint a good header nor a tap in King so prolly he won't be able to meet most of the crosses in the penalty area . It's best to have someone to do that job and leave Kaka more space to do what he does best , dribble and shoot or make defence splitting passes .
